- With the CUAA cambelts causing us multiple issues, we put out a video asking for help to see if there were any known fixes and we got plenty of responses! 🙏
With the help of you guys, we have hopefully found the fix to our bouncing cambelt! 🤞
Let's see if it helps Ryan finish the at Silverstone this weekend! 🏁

Why not try softer engine and gearbox mounts to take some of the resonance out assuming your running solid mounts?Look at the problem from a different angle.

Maybe take some tension out of the belt? Under load would tighten anyway no? just a thought

In the end, what benefits does this engine offer that make all the effort to ensure its reliability worthwhile?

Why are the lower ones square!?
OE belt life most likely
Not a chance with power your running lads needs replacing every season at least
Custom Kevlar belts would sort it briefly
They are already Kevlar
Like I said boss briefly 😂 they need changin every other race your testing these well past the manufacturer’s ratings what can you expect
What is the purpose of the square drive gear?
I’m guessing it works in conjunction with the balance shafts to dampen vibration.
It looks good on an engineer's CV
my vote is this is the entire problem, it's basically accelerating / decelerating the belt against the spring tensioner every 90 degrees.
Its most likely not helping!
