when trying to learn a guthrie solo you realise one thing that stands out, his sense of time.. its insane how good that is, like, and you also can hear that he improvise it.. theres so much feel to everything he does as a solo guitarist.. SO glad to be alive and witness such a virtuoso on the instrument
Just pure ecstacy. You can listen to this solo in a loop forever, and never get bored. Extremely tasteful, and delicious solo. This solo is standing testimony to why Guthrie is the greatest guitarist in our lifetime, without a shadow of doubt.
It’s not as difficult as it seems. I learned it in a weekend. You can to, but you actually have to sit down and practice for more than 15 minutes. Try 4 or 5 hours.
