I'm 47 yr old guitarist from Indy been listening since the 80's Jason.My favorite is "Go Off". I'll NEVER forget years ago when you said "never hate anything" , with the exception of the last 2 years I have been homeless and alcoholic for 20 some years.Next month I'll be 2 years sober with a job and a place to live. I asked God to help me and He did.But I had to show up too.Philippians 4:8.I still get depressed I haven't played in weeks now which is weird but you never get to.I wish I had half of your guitar and music skills. Wow, Guthrie just gets you when he inserts those bluesy part with just the right amount and right time, its like gospel singing! Plus those piano like taps fuckin amazing!

This solo blows my mind everyday! The BEST guitar player of our/this generation! That sort of improvisation, technique, those micro bends and the subtleties of the solo. He builds the song and makes you cry! I'm a huge fan of Satriani and Morse and like Severs' playing too. But Guthrie Govan is not from this world! He's an excellent teacher, flawless and most innovative player and an extremely humble nice guy.

Guthrie's solo is just awesome... ... But Morse's ending feels like a grown man longing for the times when he was young. Damn it bring tears to my eyes (and flashbacks of my childhood and teen years) everytime his solo kicks in. Morse nailed the "theme" of this song with his solo, definetly the most touchfull and transmisive part of the music, he literally tells you the whole point of this piece with his guitar, "River of Longing", I mean... In some way, it sounds like "The end of the begining" of Jason... Something simple, almost "predictable", yet so beautiful, full of emotions, of feelings... What a class.

Just bought the album the second time on a physical copy. Jasons music really has something amazing that sets him apart from other guitarist/musicians. Especially Perpetual Burn, i could listen to this album anyday and wouldnt get bored.

Why is everyone praising the guitarists playing the song and not the guy who wrote the song! Jason Becker would've of been the G.O.A.T if he was still able to play. Was a more creative and talented guitarist at 17 than many I've seen come after him
