Hi handySingh, thanks for this very clear video. My boiler is saying faulty thermistor open circuit. I feel I have the knowledge and confidence now to replace it.

Hi Colin, yes another option as shown in my other video. However didn't have it with me at the time of this video as it was being used elsewhere. Once the valves are shut and the taps are open the water will drain from pipes itself as shown in video. Hope you found this useful. Cheers Handy Singh

To change this NTC all u need to do is isolate the cold feed and open the hot tap then use a 13mm open end spanner to replace.

Hi HandySingh, Is that sensor the same part/same part number as the flue safety NTC ?

Why didn't you drain down the boiler on the drain valve?

Hi Colin, you don't need to drain, just turn mains water off and then open hot taps. Hope you found video useful. Cheers Handy Singh

Hi, yes very useful and informative video thank you for posting.
However my Main 24 HE Combi boiler is the older version.
This has the NTC sensor in the flow pipe not the diverter vale as the ECO type you worked on.So l would like to know is my NTC in a dry pocket or wet pocket, after running the hot tap to drain down?

Hi mate, it may be the same but can't guarantee the position of it. Does the location look the same position and does it have the electrical plug as shown on my video? Cheers Handy Singh.

If your looks round and can't have a spanner around it that means yours is the one with a rubber washer which pulls out which is a different part no. Type in NTC sensor baxi tech 33g on Google and you will see the pic for both types. Hope this helps. Cheers Handy Singh

@@handySingh hi mate, yeah its just a pull out one, it says to turn off cold water supply and draw off residual domestic water... so just so I'm 100 percent clear, is it just turn off fuse to the boiler, turn off the cold supply valve, open the taps to let the residual hot water drain and then change the part, turn cold water back on etc?

@@ajboyd9389 hi mate, yes turn cold water feed off to boiler and open all taps including hot water to let water out. Isolate power to boiler. Cheers
