I am SO glad they finally moved the gear selector out of the middle of the floor! Wow did that look awful in between the seats. This looks so much better. I really like this design.

Beautiful truck. I got one of the last 389’s with the full gage dash. I love it. Didn’t even order the smart nave in this one just because I wanted a full gage package. Sad the 389’s are going away 😢
@@markm0000 well Peterbilt launched the 379X right before they discontinued the 379. They just launched the 389X and I’m told they have a replacement in the works for 2024. I was told it’s a 589. Has a hood similar to the 389 with the cab of a 567. They are trying to make sure it goes over better than the 990 kw did but I’m sure people will not be happy with it

Hey Keith from Angola 🇦🇴 good morning to you, as an Indian 🇮🇳. I am fan of Kenworth and Peterbilt also Volvo VNL of North America 🇺🇸 and this truck is a badass of white colour.
Beautiful truck but Im kind of old school. They are in my opinion ruining trucking with DEF/DPF engines and auto shift. I drive a Freightliner with a DD15 and 12SPD auto and im not complaining as i had a major shoulder injury on the shifter arm but if my arm wasnt all screwed and nailed back together id prefer a manual. I started learning on my buddys 86 W900 425 CAT and 15 double overdrive when trucks were trucks. Still love my trucking no matter what i drive.
Which automated transmission models are available for Cummins engine? And what is difference in price between offered transmissions ? Could that 18 speed auto go with Cummins efficiency? And which Cummins efficiency you recommend 450hp or 500hp ?
Damn! I wish my company had autos. I only fuel Costco’s in and around the Sacramento area. Stop and go traffic, local as can possibly be. Roseville, Elk Grove, Sacramento, Woodland, Rancho Cordova, and Folsom. 5 loads a day, 11-14/hrs a day. GREAT company! I love this job, but some trucks shift like CRAP!Makes the day harder. I like manual, but I’m TOO local for a 10 speed. I think anyways.
Hey Keith, nice pete, I got a 389 my self, question, do you know if I can put an ultra shift or that have to come from the factory, as always, enjoy a lot your videos ., thank you
I would love to have something like this but I would need head rack I would rather a back window in it otherwise I would love to have one Exactly like this
How much does it cost to build this truck. only 23 and i drive automatic but I love the 389 Pete and I want to buy one automatic I’m saving my checks for it !!
Let them know that they can shift in Manual by holding the button on the side. It’s good for mountains grades or if you don’t want the truck to keep going up and down in the gears during slow traffic.
I been driving manuals for the last 6 years and drove an auto yesterday. That’s the way to go unless you’re doing a bunch of off road driving, but other than that it’s good stuff
Could I theoretically put an automated trans in an older pre emissions truck? I just started at one of the big companies and l like driving the autos. But like the older trucks and lack of piss juice
