That's a work of an artist! Excellent! The concrete rock looks so natural. So clever you made drainage holes for those bromeliads to grow. Beautiful!

Love that you dive right in. This sounds ideal for me, I can't lift heavy boulders. But I don't think my manager would appreciate that large of boulder in my yard. I might make a smaller.rock garden. You are obviusly an artist as well as a creative genius!! GOOD JOB! The finished boulder with.plants is stunning!

That is a gorgeous piece of art. Damn. Guess I'll be wiring mine up since I live in a wicked freeze thaw cycle. I'm not from Australia or NZ. I just started placing the slabs on a lumpy bumpy piece of property today. Can't wait to work on this further. Found a great thing to do with all of the boulders from a really messed up retaining wall that was built incorrectly. In the states you must have soil and grass going over the retaining wall or the frost will collapse your wall big time. It's cold here, like 2 degrees fahrenheit or -17 celsius. Stunning.

I just put a bid on a property that had a lot of rubble on site. I was going to have it all hauled away. I think you just saved me $1200 in cleanup costs and helped me to burn about 25,000 calories (at least) and some concrete, dyes, etc. If the deals goes through I am putting your tutorial into use. I appreciate you. Thank you.

fantastic! I love rocks, and in landscaping here (GA) they can be expensive to buy. But Construction sites abound with broken pieces that would be perfect for this, and best thing, they are usually free as the guys don't want to move them! Thanks for the great video!

  • @cgod241

Wonderful very cool, wish we could make stuff like that last in Canada, The frost here would have it's way with that job and turn it to rubble in one or two seasons. we get plastic and composite rocks, but if you touch them they feel like plastic, your works are beautiful and would have no plastic feel

I feel as though I have watched more diy pond rock water videos than a man should. And I must say, This one was the best. I've been afraid to add water to my cement until now! Having been really shown a well explained, simple technique - Im good to go! He incorporates artistic Hands-on and not store bought, while its also light on material$$, and laborious time- moving dirt, rocks, wet tarps and calk! Congrats! Thanks, and... will you be my dad?

Do not use concrete in water with fish. It releases high ph over many months and will kill your fish and plants. Use a liner to protect your fish.

I love this! Brilliant. I wish I had the talent to do this to create a "waterfall" into my old fiberglass pool. I would love to see a rock creation like this with the plant pockets filled with suitable mediums and planted with native ferns, grasses , wildflowers and groundcovers, ie- Florida native Lemon Bacopa, which is fragrant, has true blue flowers and attracts butterflies, especially beautiful White Peacock butterflies.

Just put a waterproofing agent in the concrete mix. No need to seal the concrete. Leave your pond with water in for a week or so then drain. Refill it and then put a little bit of aloe vera in to the water as a destressing agent for your fish....and add also a de-chlorinating agent in the water or leave water for a few days before putting fish into it.
