Happy you found Rolling Quartz. Ja Young - vocalist/pianist, Iree, pink hair, guitarist, Choi Hyunjung - guitarist, Kim Arem - bassist, Yeongeun - drums. They were actually 2 different bands in the beginning. Ja Young and Yeongeun, freinds since H.S., wanted to do more rock style songs, reached out to Iree and Arem, short time later, reached out to Hyunjung. Been together since just before the world got locked down. Started doing youtube, and BLEW UP. Yes, i have done a deep dive on these very talented young women. Watched or heard almost everything about them. If interested in another Spanish band, check out Broken Peach. They do all their music in english, but you will tell right away, not their first language.
Great reaction Jason! Love Rolling Quartz 💎 , they're a great K-Rock band. RQ 💎 are set to tour here in Australia 🇦🇺 this September 2024. I have my ticket - can't wait to see these ladies Live! 😊
Just subbed. Thank you for showcasing Rolling Quartz. The Korean rock bands don't get as much attention as their Japanese counterparts. Another all female South Korean rock band to check out is DIH. Back to Japan, make sure you check out Lovebites and Nemophila. Having seen Band Maid, I'm sure you've seen requests for them as well
Rolling Quartz are a great band and even better live. I saw them last year in Seattle in a tiny little club and can't wait for the next opportunity! For something a little different from them, try their tribute cover of "Reminiscence" with Jayoung on piano. Staying with Korea, check out "Addiction" by TOUCHED, and "Karma" by Walking After U. For a bit of a cool down, "Letter" by Yudabinband is a personal favorite. Other K-rock bands to check out would include DIH, Clownus, Danggisio, Guckkasten, Adios Audio, Vincit, YB, Xdinary Heroes, Messgram and Fishingirls. And from China, don't miss OU (pronounced oh), and SiXiWanZi. Japan has the big names like One OK Rock, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites and Hanabie, but also many other can't-miss acts like East of Eden, KOIAI, Asterism, D_Drive, Scandal, Saiseiga, Hades, LETITOUT-lelia-, Toranoko Rammy, STMLT, Hagane , Bridear, Gacharic Spin, tricot, Unlucky Morpheus, Mary's Blood, Glim Spanky, Ningen Isu, Maximum the Hormone, Gungire, Whiskey Dust, KILLT MELT LAND, Risky Melody, Fate Gear, Mardelas, Head Phones President, Dimrays, Nekomeshi (222)...it never ends 😅
I enjoy these girls. They have been marketed brilliantly on RUclips. Definitely use their looks, their personalities come right thru the screen at you. The drummer and vocalist is outside. The guitar players need some more time in the woodshed but they are pretty good. Very catchy pop rock.
Glad you like Rolling Quartz. Another good one by them is their debut track "Blaze". And for something completely different, try "Wolf Totem" by The Hu Band, a Mongolian metal band who incorporate traditional instruments and Mongolian throat singing into their sound.
Thank you for the Rolling Quartz reaction. I recommend Rolling Quartz's Azalea, Sing Your Heart Out, and Good Night. These songs are not Rolling Quartz's original but cover songs. These songs will be a good K-rock introduction for you. And if you want to listen to K-pop, I recommend Chase Me and Good Night by Dreamcatcher. I think you'll like it.
More Rolling Quartz please. I grew up on 80s rock and I find these ladies to my taste. More of a lyrical rock group just like the bands from the 80s and 90s. Unlike today's metal which is too repetitive for me.
Check out a trio from Japan called Asterism drummer an d bass are brothers fronted by a female guitar player check out Rising Moon @ the time this was shot the brothers were 18 and 17 and the girl was 15 GAUREENTEED SMOKE🤘 New sub
