Always the live version, especially when it comes to Epica! They’re my favorite band to see in concert for a reason-always top of their game, and always having SO much fun. And this show…I mean, this is as LIVE as live music can get-*everything* on stage, from the orchestra to the backing vocalists! It’s absolutely mind blowing, and I still can’t believe I was there and saw it in person!! I’m hopeful that there will be many more videos to come, because the whole concert was just a masterpiece! I think part of the reason you’re surprised by Simone’s appearance is probably just age, which is something you’ll definitely notice with these bands that have 20+ years long careers! The Retrospect show, which you’ve reacted to several songs from recently, was not only over a decade ago, but she was also pregnant during it. So yes, she looks different at 39 than she did in her 20s, just a natural result of aging and life changes and probably taking care of herself differently than she did back then as well-it’s something you have to do as you get older, especially with a physically demanding job like being on stage. From what I’ve seen, the whole band is pretty serious about staying healthy and active while touring. I DO think she seems to have lost weight in the past year or two, but nothing drastic. To me, it just seems like she used that time to focus more on herself in every regard-including the release of her debut solo album earlier this year!

The dark ride Danse Macabrebre is a run down monastery. The ride is an epic danse with the dead musically and a ride with creepy you would find in a run down monastery. The dark ride has an unique newly invented motion system that no other themepark in the world has and it cost 35 million euros to built Danse Macabre. Americans and English people who went to Efteling have called Efteling the darker version of Disney because Efteling does not sugarcoat fairytales. Efteling is the second most visited themepark in Europe and opened before Disney parks even existed. Efteling themepark has something for everyone playgrounds for children, some of the best dark rides in the world, rollercoasters and dualing rollercoasters. The Efteling is filled with old not sugarcoated fairytales, fairies, goblins, talking trees, the man puppet with the longest neck in the world and a statue donkey that poops gold Efteling coins for people to catch. When you ask people in The Netherlands what should I visit besides Amsterdam many will say go to Efteling. Yup, saw them live (2nd night) and this was one of the highlights. Simone was pitch-perfect the whole set. Funny you noticed her weight loss. At the legendary (already) Ayreon live Beneath The Waves show abt one year before this, we already noticed the considerable loss of weight. Because of the time frame, you brought up some pill/supplement. No need for that. Just a simple - but radical - change in diet will suffice. BTW, were you looking for "maniacal" when you searched for the "M"-word? Or just simply "deMonic"? Anyhew, change the SAD eating habits (too much carbs, way too little animal fats) into anything called "paleo", "primal" or just ketogenic diet and gone are your fat deposits. Think she went a bit overboard with it tbh (legs in particular & also her arms got really thin), but for sure her singing at the SS concert was phenomenal. Which in the end is what truly counts for a vocalist.
