Radio?? Pretty sure it was on the tellie only. But I suppose some old tuners could get the tellie signal and play the audio. I still remember the tellie stations closing at night and playing that horrid channel hold/test thing.

Dude you will NEVER get that many songs in a Rage playlist!! :-) Trust me I've worked it out for years. My soul ambition for a while was simply to start a kickass band Just so I could host Rage. Then I figured if I actually got to host Rage I'd have to really trim down the song list a bit. lol. I've still got stacks of VHS with different artists hosting. My favourites are the "Industrial" one (I forget the host) which introduced me to Meat Beat Manifesto and Frontline Assembly and went off on a real industrial vibe, and Frank Black hosting Rage, cackling like a mad man.
Just an Aussie classic, I’m 45 now, i remember waking up to watch the rage top 50 with my vhs ready to tape my favourites, I woulda been about 9 I recon, as I got older I’d come home from partying to some obscure shit being played on rage at the wee hours of the morning haha, rage is a bloody Aussie institution, is it still on?
Yeah I was about 5 when i first saw it and had little interest in music at the time but my older cousins loved it. I noticed it more and more as the years went on. It really is mate, its actually still on or it was last year anyway. Hard to believe eh!
well i just come from indonesia around 1988 and auto record the late show on vhs tape leave till morning......tomorrow when i play the tape woww its nice music proggrame....first time to know Rage

When you saw the end credits all the time as a kid but finally see the intro when you got older, that was a head fuck
Whoever made this intro clearly had a lot of fun in doing so.
Haha, definitly.
And probably didn’t think it’d still be in use 36 years later 😂
Love that you started with the RAGE! theme.
So many drunken Sunday mornings watching this.
Yes the good old day’s
When you had to stay up all nights doing uni assignments, needing background sound to not feel lonely.
my mum would put this on because it scared all us kids lmao
I miss it every Saturday morning.

Lol yeah mate how funny was that haha 😅
