    I very much enjoyed this. I work in heavy haulage as a driver and have done for 5 or 6 years now. I was the first female driver my company had employed in it's 60-70y standing. Since then we've had a few other ladies driving for us. Even in my short period of time working in heavy haulage moving the abnormal loads I still sometimes face issues but it is so much better than it was. Even in my own company I had to really prove myself when I started but I find that working hard shows the guys a women can do the job as well or better than them sometimes and if someone says you can't do something it's all the more reason to show them you can.
    Great video once again. Thanks Kim

She didn't like the training people were given so gained qualifications in that too. Not every person can give as good an account of themselves as Jacqueline has. Brilliant!

  • @HECKHOUND38
    @HECKHOUND38 3 года назад +2

    Good video, but it would look a lot nicer if the editors color corrected the video. The main angle and the angle focusing on Jacqueline have very prominent magenta shift to them. If I had to guess, the cameras' white balance was off. This is very easy to fix in premiere (which I know your team uses). if you don't know what I mean, for example, the helmet and mug in the foreground of the main shot are white in real life I assume? Whereas they look pinkish white in the video. Also, everything behind the glass looks incredibly like a magenta hue was thrown over it. The quick and easy way to fix this is to select the auto white balance tool in premiere (found in lumetri color - Basic correction. It looks like an eye dropper) and select either the helmet or the mug. This will tell the program that the color selected is true white and it will adjust the color of the whole image to remove the magenta hue. I know you, Daniel, are big on not wasting the editor's time, but this procedure takes around 10 seconds with another maybe minute of fine tuning if need be. And that's being generous. If your editors need a video tutorial, Adobe in a Minute has a good AWB Tool video that is short and too the point.
    This is something probably 80% of viewers won't care about, but as a fellow editor, I can say it was quite the distraction.

    Great interview Danial. I grew up in a family business in Wales, when family businesses were involved in every walk of life. Not just Welsh in the Valley’s, Irish (my mother’s parents) and Italians. Service, loyalty and impeccable business manners were the order of the day. Trust and friendship ment something then.
    Many daughters and sons worked alongside their parents as kids. Best school you could ever go to. Start young, learn life’s lessons in real terms, definitely helps to become successful.

I remember in school when teachers and people asked what I wanted to do when I leave and when I said run my own plant hire company/ go into construction they laughed and said why would you want to do that now I make more money than they clowns. It’s not about the money but we need to get rid of this stigma of the industry where it’s dead end and you’ll never do well you can only do well if you put the graft in and you and Jacqueline are great example of this👍🏼

I went from furniture restoration, electrical engineering to electronic engineering. An i was the only woman at the time on the courses ànd the companies. The advantage for Jacqueline in my opinion was that it is a family run business. So you wouldnt expect to experience sexual harassment an things of that nature. The fact that you interviewed a Woman AND Company that is the largest in your area and not only that, but you’re inviting Women to join this industry, really shows how humbled, confident and secure you are as a Man first then Businessman‼️👊🏾
