I adopted a little girl that they said was a Shihtzu mix. I realized soon after she's a different breed. I never knew about this breed. She's delightful! Such a little character!
@@snn2913 that's so interesting! You had the same experience. What a fascinating process this was. My boyfriend said, she looks like a marmoset monkey. I started researching breeds, I'd never seen fur like she has. I thought, maybe a Brussels Griifin mix. Then I stumbled upon a whole pack of little Grettas! ( My little one is Gretta). The name affenpincher means monkey dog! Such a weird experience to discover a breed of dog I knew nothing of before, and there she is looking at me, lol. She's such a character! Fiercely defends her siblings ( if they bark or request anything she demands I give it to them immediately!). I've literally never heard a sound like she makes. It's often not even remotely like barking! It's a weird yelling howl. (She has really bad skin though, she's very itchy. I'm working through that with her. And dry eyes.) I'm so grateful for her. She's such a little personality.
Sometimes my affen is very stubborn, I need lots of patience. Not that good around kids, tends to play rough with them. Needs brushing to prevent matting especially under the mouth. Mine needs a hair cut every 3-4 months. Antics all day. Barking not bad, when he wants attention or food.

Me too. I was told my Mya is a poodle mix, she looks just like the dog in this video.
