Bloodhounds DO NOT have short hair. Dobermans have short hair (about 1/2 inch long). Bloodhounds have a medium length hair. Hair length of about 1.25 inches. One other "pro" comment is that if allowed to run in a yard, they will do their business at the farthest location from your house. This means that you don't need to worry about stepping in their poop when walking around in your yard. They choose their own little graveyard away from activity and use that exclusively.

Someone dumped one of my farm!!

I had a rough collie named Delilah,she developed epilepsy at 3 1/2 wouldn’t respond to anti seizure meds,she was put down 1/17/2025 after a 25 minute seizure that nearly killed her 2 days before her 4th birthday.She was the most kind and loving and gentle dog I ever owned.Rough collies are wonderful dogs but unfortunately there’s a lot of epilepsy with them.Ill cherish my time with Delilah forever,I called her DEE for short.

I've gotten extremely lucky with my 2nd Cheesy... Best dog EVER...he listens like NO OTHER DOG I HAVE EVER HAD and I've had a few... That being said my first Chessy was horrible...dogs all have there own personalities and I love both of them the same but they are night and day difference... Both great dogs just different amount of required work

My mom and I have one that's very territorial and protective

They seem to be a relative rare breed in the UK now, which is quite sad and quite surprising as they’re such a beautiful breed!

We have a mix of africanis and great pyrenees/border collie mix. My friend had a male africanis and his neighbor had a female pyrenees and eventually had puppies. He just gave away the puppies and my wife couldn't resist. And boy he is getting bigger almost every week, we named him Dood and he'll be a year old on May 4th and he already stands up to my waist and im 6 foot tall. I knew the other breeds but never heard of africanis until i seen my friends dog. I thought it was starving but they very slender and skinny

I have a Gordon {Beau] if well trained a great family dog very intelligent loves a routine and food. and is very adept at being quietly vocal and using his eye's to get what he wants.

Loved my buhund. Total sweetheart. Would lick the skin off your face he was so affectionate. I never found him stubborn but I did find he could be aloof with people he didn't know. He would bark at bit and chase skunks, getting sprayed multiple times. I forgave him for that because he was such a great pet. I never saw him get aggressive he was so gentle.

i have one, its the treasure of the family, beautiful intelligent cat looking eyes and soft curly hair, funny active but flexible he can sleep the whole day if you wanna sleep but will happily run with you through forests for hours. I love him so much. They need to be with his hooman tho bc they are dependent this is because the historical bond they had with the farmer
