I'm planning on keeping my JK forever and It's reassuring to know all these great TF products will be available when the time comes to replace oem parts with their better parts.
Followed the video and changed out my worn ball joints for the tereflex. Video was very helpful and the build quality on the tereflex ball joints is top notch. Took a while to remove and install everything but the video covered everything. Just be careful removing the abs wheel sensor - they are plastic and prone to breaking while trying to pop it out.
Best damn install video I have ever seen. Diving right into this shit tonight with a an old fashioned and some loud ass music. Thanks Teraflex. Customer for life
Installing these tomorrow along with a new heavy duty adjustable trackbar. I’m stoked to see how much of a difference they make than my worn out oem ball joints !
just installed them in my 08 JKU because the factory ones sucked for 35s. They went in pretty simple, except for the rust everywhere making difficulties.
Hey Teraflex great How To's, what part number ball joint press is that you're using? I have one that doesn't seem to have the same dyes you're using and your C looks to be possibly taller than the one I'm currently using. If the shorter reduced dye you're using isn't part of the kit would you know the part number to that as well? Thank you in advance!
Yet another great video. I would like to install these on my 2015 Hard Rock. Would love to see just where and how much I need to grind off the yoke to make these work!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I am a newbie to the Jeep world. Just bought mine about 4 weeks ago. It is a 2015 JK Rubicon Hard Rock Edition. Only had 37k miles on it when I bought it. I doubt it had even seen mud. I mentioned I am a newbie, so how will I know when it is time to even replace the ball joints? What tell-tale signs do I look for, or listen for?
Most places that rotor is not moving, 90% of us do not have SnapOn tools, unfortunately. In the rust zones, DO NOT remove that speed sensor from the hub, remove it from the the top of of the cable, where it connects with a clip.
I don't believe snap on sockets are still covered under warranty if they show damage from use other than their designated purpose. Those hammered sockets may not be covered anymore. I know they don't cover screwdrivers used as pry bars.
Lift the Jeep by the axle until the tires are just off the ground. Place your hands at 12 and 6 o clock and apply opposing pressure, feeling for movement. Also, place a small pry bar under the tire. With light pressure, pull up on the pry bar, feeling the upper ball joint for "in and out" movement. If there is noticeable play, its time to adjust and set the preload.
Typically you would go without knurled if you are replacing your ball joints for the first time, even second. If you're on your third set, knurled would be best. If you have more questions, please contact us at 801-713-3314!
A little bit of pre planning for tool setup and dealing with rusted parts should take about 2-3 hours. I hit everything with penetrating oil an hour before I started.
+TeraFlexSuspensions I think it would be nice with you did a future video with '13+ showing how much you would grind off ect. Is there plans for a updated set in the future?
I have a 2014 JEEP JKU - Will these fit? If not, are there any recommendations? I am reading conflicting info. Some say there is some grinding/modifications to make these fit.
Best I can tell, they've redesigned these ball joints. As long as you get the redesigned version, you should be good. (I've just ordered a set to install on my 2014 JK). More about the redesigned ones on ruclips.net/video/SMi3fUH8wOs/видео.html
These really are 1st class how-to videos. Best I've ever seen. You should be very proud!
Finally, a how-to video that I enjoyed watching. Thanks so much for the entertainment.

'This is the best technique and it is satisfying', best quote ever.

Donavan so did it work?
Absolutely top notch install video. Your narration and use of deadpan - 🤣 - Epic ! - . I'd say this made installing ball joints almost fun !
Thanks 👍 We're glad you think so!

Do you have a video on how to grind down the axles for the clearance required on the newer jeeps?
Was looking at doing an install vid on this as I'm about to replace mine but this video ticks all the boxes as usual!! 🤘✋👍
Thanks!
This is an example of a great instructional video.
LMAO @ 5:40... "gentle persuasion".
Watched this clip many items and its still funny lmao!!!
You sold me on TeraFlex ball joints!! Great video, thanks for the great show!!
One of the best vvideo I saw for now on, Good job!
Aaaaaand for 2013 and up?

This video is a masterpiece im a diff tech jus came across these lil gems..only issue i had..where are the Matco tools ? 😂
I need these for my 2015... I've heard I can use the 12 version with modifications???

What type of grease are you using for the various applications?
We use a Lucas Red N Tacky on most all applications, especially ball joints.
Most places that rotor is not moving, 90% of us do not have SnapOn tools, unfortunately. In the rust zones, DO NOT remove that speed sensor from the hub, remove it from the the top of of the cable, where it connects with a clip.
are those nylon supports on the axle shaft on all dana 44 axles? thanks
Will it be the last set of balls I’ll ever need

Great video! I think even i can do this job!
You can do it!
do u make a set for a Jeep yj ?
So this will not fit on my 2014 jeep wrangler jk Sahara?
It will fit that year, make and model. If you have more fitment questions, please give us a call at 801-713-3314.
do you leave grease fitting in lower joint or put set screw back in
Video states replace the set screw...
Have these been discontinued for a JK? I can't find them anywhere and they are gone from the TF website.
I got the teraflex hd tie rod and drag link kit, after alignment I have a little too much camber, will these balljoints fix my issue? Newb here
Unfortunately our ball joints will not correct the camber.
What grease are you using?
Which adaptor kit are you using for the “large C” frame ball joint press?
From start to finish, how log did the job take you? It appears as if you can do this blindfolded.
Thank you brother!!!!!!
I need to change these on om y 14, IS there an version for models after 2012?
How would I know if I need to adjust these ball joints and exactly how much to adjust them?
Lift the Jeep by the axle until the tires are just off the ground. Place your hands at 12 and 6 o clock and apply opposing pressure, feeling for movement. Also, place a small pry bar under the tire. With light pressure, pull up on the pry bar, feeling the upper ball joint for "in and out" movement. If there is noticeable play, its time to adjust and set the preload.
These better work with a kj and kk. I'm due for new ball joints next year.
which one should i go knurled or without knurl
Typically you would go without knurled if you are replacing your ball joints for the first time, even second. If you're on your third set, knurled would be best. If you have more questions, please contact us at 801-713-3314!
what type of drill is that?
I'm lost on preload and google isn't helping. Why would you change the preload?
Frank Gallagher because in time it will wear
Great video, do you also have an eccentric ball joint for Camber alignment?
***** Sorry we do not offer those.
What ball joint is needed for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JKU?
You will want part number 3442002
You guys have got to have a blast filming these videos! (Either that, of you really want to kill each other ...)
How can I remove the ball joints if I don't have the ball joint removal tool?
Possibly with a torch, but that is not recommend. Try to use some type of press.
they rent/loan ball joint presses at most of the chain auto parts stores
Realistically how long should this install take?
A little bit of pre planning for tool setup and dealing with rusted parts should take about 2-3 hours. I hit everything with penetrating oil an hour before I started.
Don’t think I didn’t notice how you didn’t fully reinstall the upper ball joint boot, because we all know it’s impossible! 😡😡
Been trying for 2 days now just to get the damn boots back on!
Is there a model for a 2014 JEEP JKUR
+Mark Aquiningoc You can use these for a 2014 JKUR it just requires a small amount of grinding on the axle shaft toke to make it fit.
+TeraFlexSuspensions I think it would be nice with you did a future video with '13+ showing how much you would grind off ect. Is there plans for a updated set in the future?
Concur!

I can make that press using a giant C clamp, which I have.
What happens if you do blow up the boot?
Most likely all the grease will come out and you joints will rust, seize, and then break. Best to keep them well lubricated.
