I might upgrade to that model when the price comes down later in the year. I don't understand why most manufactures have stopped producing 40" models. The 43" TV's are a bit too big for me at the moment. Great video though cheers! :)
Likewise here on the size constraints, although I am put off by the screen being so reflective on the HX800. Pity as there's nothing else out there for us! :(
The TX-50GX800 was given a great review in home cinema and everyone loved it. I was put off by the 50hz VA panel. In your opinion is the TX-50HX800B worth an extra £400. Great reviews by the way.
Really difficult one, as the HX model has a better viewing angle than the old GX model is it worth £400 extra, not sure if i would pay the extra. If you can still get a GX model ideally with the 5 year warranty then i would probably go for it.
What i like with my Panasonic eb 37" 6years old ?, is although it only has 5 lines of guide it does does tell you what the the program about without having to press another button for another screen.
The panasonic screens are not too bad as they are not too reflective. You will find with any tv if it is bright then you can struggle to see the picture properly. Thanks for the feedback
Is the better viewing angle the only difference between this HX 2020 model and the GX-2019 model ? What about the video-processor and brightness and glare/refelctions of the screen. The 2019 model had some reviews of being very shiny !
The screen doesn't seem to glare quite as much on the new model but i was very impressed with how much better the viewing angle is compared to the old model.
We have had a Panasonic for years what I like is when the TV is on you cannot see yourself in it , and you can see at an angle to some TVs are just awful our friends when we are watching you can see us all in the screen . We are thinking if changing from a 40 to a 50 which do you recommend.our TV is LCD LED
Hello, How we can update Panasonic 43 LED TV , GX706Series please and also how we can use by another remote control? Because this model tv totally old version! I hate it really
Thinking of getting this TV but will I be able to set programme reminders so that it turns over when future programme starts.... or even turn on when reminder is set? Ive always had Samsung TVs and I like that feature.
Could you help with me setting up my TX-40JX870 I have got as far as auto set up but it returns no channels found and keeps asking me to connect my arial ( which I don't have)although I am using hdmi and have asigned it hdmi2 were it is connected.the only things I can get are the likes of Netflix amazon prime etc. Didn't need an arial with my old tv worked just fine .
Hi, good review a question please, or better said an opinion from a professional. What TV do you recommend? Philips 50 put 8536/12 or Panasonic tx- 50 hx830?
Good question, i assume it is because as the TV itself does a lot more than it used to, people are getting less reliant on having to connect external devices. If you go back 10 years, you had a video recorder, dvd player, sky box etc.. but for majority of people it would be Recording device like Sky / Virgin / BT and then a blu ray player which is only 2 HDMI sockets. I assume that is why.
Hi. We’ve just bought one of these after watching your video. However I’m the pictures very poor and we’re getting very pixelated blacks. Some films show vertical stripes but mainly it’s black pixelated pictures on black areas. It also does pixelated circles around people in black background (like in documentaries) so light grey around them radiating out in increasingly darker greys to black. But the fade out from the light areas is not invisible but clearly defined in pixelated edges to the arcs. I hope that makes sense? Do you think we have a bad screen or is that just how the picture quality is on this unit. We’re watching everything on a wired Ethernet connection with super fast fibre broadband.
That does sound strange, as these tv's are normally pretty good with the picture quality. I assume the broadcast is in HD and is it the same if you were playing a Blu-Ray disc with the tv?
@@lords-electrical its connected over ethernet but even on the iplayer on the static home page there are pixelated areas of black and also lines across the screen? I've watched some 4k movies on youtube and they are better but its still there. And on a movie called 'The Best Of Enemies' on Netflix the picture was abysmal!
Sounds like the tv needs calibrating. There's a decent and comprehensive guide by a Mr M Thompson in one of the reviews on Amazon. He says that 'out of the box', the picture is not great but shows you all the individual adjustments you need to make to get a great picture.......... www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R1Z1FC0XMECWUL/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0883S8GXD
You can fit other items to the tv as long as they use HDMI connections. Long gone are scart connections now which a lot of older equipment used to use.
i go to web browser to search for app to download but download or any other functions, i do not see, anybody experience this problem in this tv model, any help would be gud thanks
Hello. Simple question about the HX Series. Are any of the HXs Android TVs ?. I am looking to buy a Panasonic but only if its android. Thanks to anyone that can let me know ASAP :)
No. Possibly in 2021. The 2020 Android models are not manufactured by Panasonic and therefore nothing special. You can find good Android TVs from Sony.
I bought a 58 EX 700B 2.5 years ago and it’s failed and will cost more to fix than the TV cost me £888.00 Panasonic don’t want to know. It needs a new panel. In 2016 Panasonic stopped making panels, and I think this is the reason I’m left very disappointed.
Great tv but be warned it does like the prime amazon app.Ive had no problems with the other apps but the prime is so jittery and buffery and temperamental at best!
Dont buy these tv's, iv got one. i thought something was off with the picture after trying for weeks to get it right i failed. I looked it up and a turkish firm called vestel makes them and just puts a Panasonic case on. I will never buy a panasonic tv again because they do not make them themselves.! You have been warned

@@lords-electrical Totally agree with your comments. Managed to find just one in stock at John Lewis for £449. A bargain I reckon. Thanks.

I agree; a very clear and informative guide.....thanks for this...
thanks for the review. am i able to cast from my phone to the tv without a chromecast?
How far back can I go with the Panasonic TX-43JX600B Can I go back a week or just a day
If it has the full smart on the tv then you should be ok to go back the week.
If I miss Say Coronation Street would I go back to watch it on ITV Hub
Thanks for the video. The screen seems very reflective. Would this be a problem in a bright room? Thanks.
The panasonic screens are not too bad as they are not too reflective. You will find with any tv if it is bright then you can struggle to see the picture properly. Thanks for the feedback
It improves image sharpness and is no more reflective than a CRT TV was.

How is the grey uniformity? What type of led backlighting is it using?

Will this fit in a 3 foot gap in width?
It will just go in, by 1 inch
Even if it's over by a few inches, the centre of gravity is in the middle so it will still be okay.
At Currys it’s saying it’s Width is 1120 mm with stand and 901mm without stand is this true?
The width of the tv is 901mm
@@lords-electrical thank-you very much 👍
You talking for longer would not be boring.
A very good talk through though I was hoping to see you link the tv to the router whis is something im having a problem with

What is the name from the niew Direct LED from Panasonic?
What are the measurements of the TV stand on the 58 inch version?
Would the LG sm8050 be the better unit to buy.
Wish we could get these new Panasonic TV’s in the US. Do you ship international? I wonder if the power input would work.
Unfortunately we don't send products abroad, and the voltage would be different to us in the UK.
Sony still have a good range in the US, if you want a Japanese brand.
Also, Funai from Japan have models under the Philips and Sanyo brands in the US.
Hi, can I watch French and Middle Eastern channels via freesat? I have virgin broadband, do I need a dish as well for freesat channels?
What's the difference between the Panasonic tx40hx800b and the tx40hx820b. Thanks.
I believe the 820b is exactly the same as the 800b, just that it's exclusive to John Lewis.
It's a great screen, where can i buy it in mexico?
Hi, good review a question please, or better said an opinion from a professional. What TV do you recommend? Philips 50 put 8536/12 or Panasonic tx- 50 hx830?
We mainly supply Panasonic tv's and we don't really deal with Philips so it wouldn't be fair to comment that one is better than the other.
Why 3 hdmi sockets on this tv I use all four on my Sony led.

Any recording will be done with a separate recorder like a Hard drive recorder from Freeview, Sky Virgin etc as the tv itself doesn't record

Sadly Disney+ is not available on this and all Panasonic TVs.
