Definitely an improvement and yes babies drink electrolytes lol it's usually if they're sick and have been throwing up you can also give it to sick chickens.
Yes, it DOES matter which store it tells you to go because not every store carries the same products. It's like how finding Barq's Red Creme soda in actual store is a rarity in the US. Anyway, here's some Publix history: Founded in 1930 by George W. Jenkins, Publix is a private corporation that is wholly owned by present and past employees and members of the Jenkins family. George previously worked as a stock clerk and a manager at Piggly Wiggly from 1926 to 1930. When Jenkins decided to open his own grocery store, he adopted the name "Publix" from a struggling New York-based movie theater company called Publix Theatres Corporation. Jenkins stated “Most of the theaters were closing up, and I liked the sound of the name, so I just took it for my store.”
Absolutely it matters, I work at a Kroger chain and we get Instacart shoppers in the wrong store all the time, looking for items that we never carried that the one a mile away from us does, and then when these dipshits cancel an order they usually ditch the cart and walk away with perishable and frozen items that we end up trashing
I used to do instacart. When shopping for 2 customers, put a couple shopping baskets in the cart to keep separated. Then at checkout do one order plastic other paper. This will save you time figuring things out later which is the biggest time waster.
The reason you go to the store that's stated on the app is because not all of the same name stores have the same items at the same time. Like, the correct Publix probably had the neck bone thing that wasn't at the Publix you went to.
True but I also know the target we have here by app says has groceries but they have no groceries at all they had some about 15 years ago but not anymore
When the pandemic hit me and my boyfriend hit instacart hard and what really worked for me was taking most of the orders that were just alcohol the orders were smaller for a bigger payout. Also if you can see how far the store will be compared to the address so you know how far you’ll be driving helps a lot too, good luck 👍

Instacart be like "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me". Publix was founded in Florida and now they're all over the South, kudos to Florida Man for maintaining these locations so well! Yes, babies need electrolytes, especially if the mother isn't breast-feeding. Electrolytes help maintain fluid balance in a baby's body cells. Dehydration for babies, which leads to diarrhea and vomiting, can very much happen and this is why electrolytes for them are important. Pedialyte is for drinking...not bathing lol. Pedialyte actually has a significantly higher electrolyte content than Gatorade!
I don't know about all stores, but I work at Walmart and the store you go to ABSOLUTELY matters! Some Walmarts will sell items that other Walmarts don't simply because they sell better in that particular area, but not well enough to stock it at the others. Congrats on the progress though! 🥳
This has a very 'I didn't sleep at all last night' vibe, which was already funny. Then the 'I'm not the baby owner' bit, THEN saying you think they bathe the babies in it?? Just perfection ❤
It's really nice that you're taking the time to make sure you're getting the right items. I stopped using Instacart because I've repeatedly had shoppers that throw in items that look vaguely like what I ordered without checking if I wanted a replacement. I'd get one single jalapeno when I ordered (and was charged for) a one pound bag of jalapenos. I'd get raw pork sausages when I ordered vegetarian sausage alternatives.
yea that sucks, i dont know if you can see it from the users end, but the shoppers gets paid quite shit, so most of the time theyre doing quanity over quallity.
Store location absolutely does matter! I have 2 Wegmans stores in my city. The one by my house is smaller and I know for a fact they don't carry the same products the other store location has!
@Eleenia Davis I am NOT a paid shopper, I have a job I work from home! I have a special anti inflammatory diet and will purposely go out of my way to go shopping at the other store further away because they carry everything i need at that store!

As a reptile keeper that feels equally out of my element doing shopping for Uber Eats I have enjoyed watching this series. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I've made good money off instacart, around 100-150 a day. The most items I've done is 33 and that was for 112$ batch. I refuse to do a delivery that equals to 1$ per item unless it's in 7/11, cvs, or Walgreens stores that you can be in and out.
I love that you actually look at the food items you grab instead of just going "yep its the right one" grabbing a random one and chucking it into the cart. ive had moldy fruit/veggies and dented cans delivered before..
Also pedialyte is for sick babies that need electrolytes, when they have stomach flu or other illnesses that cause dehydration it is a really important product. I'm glad you took the time to find it.
I actually do this for a living. So please don't disrespect it. It is one of the best paid gig work. I have tried quite a few. It's people who don't know what they are doing that make people like me who know what they are doing to look bad and push people away from using this service. The amount of times I have customers say you are the first one to get everything right or my produce has never been so great is shocking. The amount of times other shoppers have messed up my order after me saying hey I'm a shopper too let me know if you need help. Is ridiculous. People do this to make a living. Respect
Those self checkouts really aren't practical when you have that many items. You're better off going through the regular line and having them scan and bag everything.

Lol ground meat comes in the string form! There probably was a better substitute but I couldn't see the racks very well. Also yes definitely matters what location you go to, it likely recommended the other publix because only that location had the meat they wanted.
I think the best thing is to get familiar with the store that has the most orders, before you go in to start shopping thing about where you’re going to go first and look over the list a couple of times so if you see something and remember off memory you can get it and you’ll cut your time down by almost half and be able to make more money
Did you get rid of your tesla? Was watching one of your older videos and you had one I thought. Tesla would help with profit due to lack of gas is assume
How long have you been doing instacart and how do you like it? I've had instacart for about a month but never tried it yet. Nervous so I'm asking around😊
I'm not far into the video but I can already tell that you've improved from last time in terms of what orders you're willing to select. Respecting your time more is good. I have another tip that will definitely help you based on what I've seen so far - don't get hung up too much on the specific brand or minor details. For example when they didn't have the right brand of ground chicken, you could save a lot of time and stress by simply hitting "cannot find item" and either getting a backup choice, or hitting scan replacement and simply offering them whatever you see as a reasonable alternative. 99% of the time the customer doesn't care that much about the specifics, they just clicked whatever ground chicken they saw in the app. Same goes for portion sizes. If they don't have the 500oz option of a thing you are looking for, but they do have a 200oz one, just scan 2 of those as a replacement. Being more assertive about Replacements will save you a ton of time and stress, and on the off-chance that the customer disagrees with your choice you can circle back to it later, at least your not standing there wasting time!
noted! that reminds me, I can't figure out how to suggest 2 items for 1 replacement. Like for 32oz strawberries, I've been able to suggest one 16oz but not two 16oz. but maybe I'm overlooking something
I obviously can't speak for others when I say this, but to me personally when I am placing a grocery order, brand and size both ABSOLUTELY matter. I usually pick brand based off of whatever is cheapest, usually going with the generic. Usually substituting name brand costs me more than twice as much. As for portion size- I have usually planned out multiple meats for multiple meals, accounting for the exact right amount for the people in my family. I have to meal plan exactly what we are getting to be able to afford everything. I'm not saying to completely disregard this advice, I am merely reminding that not all families, especially the more poor they are, (and yes I understand they likely of them using grocery delivery is lower but you have to account for people's "convenience fee" and disabilities, etc) will be thinking like this just "substitute whatever" trail of thought 💭
@@magickaldust1213 yeah course there are going to be exceptions to what I said, that's what the chat is for. It is likely the store you were meant to be at has those cuts of meat while the one you went to doesn't. We have a bit of that even here in New Zealand, where the same named store, but they carry products that the branch down the road doesn't.
A video would be nice where you tell us how much you made with the different "jobs" in a set timespan and with like statistics, how long it took you, how much you liked it maybe and so on
yeah that's a good idea. I'll be breaking down individual apps, i.e. I just finished 50 amazon shifts so that'll be its own video, but I can make comparisons once I have more experience with the others. Maybe 50 uber rides, 50 instacart orders, etc
I'm just curious. Since E.S. has been discontinued, what is your plan with all the tanks you have? Also, yes, it is both for adults and babies. When I stock them at my store we are them in both the baby section but also cough and cold
I love watching these videos but it hurts me inside when I see you take frozen stuff only to move on to other isles with stuff that doesn't thaw. Does the app tell you in what order to get the products? When I go shoppping, I get all my other stuff first, then move on to frozen stuff just so it won't thaw before I get home. Am I alone in this??
No, you're not. When I'd go to Publix, the frozen section is definitely LAST. I want my chocolate, strawberry, and cookies n cream ice cream to be SOLID when I get home. Aint that logical? Sensible?
GH, who pays for your Costco membership? I can understand markets like Publix etc, but Costco, you need to be a member and in my opinion it is expensive, I hope Instacart pay for it!
@@GoHerping yea i try to stick to a area with like 2-3 stores stick to them because you will learn the store fast and getting in and out fast is key plus when you get to know the employees alot of the time they will open a new lane for me in check-out if they see me
Yep children and babies get sick too! Going to a different store is a possible reason why those items were out of stock. They probably 'shopped" based on the location of whatever store you were meant to go to. Just a guess.
Would you ever consider doing something like dog walking? I tried it twice and it was a disaster both times like everything that could have went wrong did go wrong. It was for two older dogs. One of the dogs was super chill and the other one was like somewhat blind and deaf and would not allow me to put the collar on it. If anyone wants to hear the full story of my dog-walking experience let me know lol a lot happened. I can provide some tips tricks and insights if anyone is thinking about doing it.
Instacart is easy for people who cook because they're used to where a lot of stuff is. The more you grocery shop the more you'll understand the layout! I like doing instacart and doordash, both are rewarding usually for me
I just use my regular personal insurance since I'm the only driver. I'm not sure what the standard protocol is, but it's what I've done for years with my own businesses that use my personal cars for work. For example, I lost my bumper in a flood while driving for my previous business and all they asked was the location, pictures and what happened. And I certainly wasn't gonna give them more info than they ask for!
You'd be bad at supermarket sweep... lol Also, pedialyte is something you drink when you're dehydrated or sick(or have a hangover). Adults can use it too. It's like smart water and Gatorade, it has electrolytes.
Pedialyte is often given to babies and young children to remedy severe dehydration from prolonged vomiting or diarrhea. It's similar to Gatorade in that it is an electrolyte solution but it has less sugar and more electrolytes than Gatorade. It has a very unique texture that I think the best way to describe is that it's what I'd imagine drinking jello to be like. While I believe it was originally created for kids hence "pedia" alot of adults use it too. I like to get it whenever I'm sick or have sun exhaustion, you can feel it bringing you back to life. 😂
Okay let’s talk about what we should be accepting. First thing I do is take away $1 for every mile. how much money is left? Double that number. Does the amount of items exceed this number? If not, take it. If it does, leave it.
I signed up in October 2022 before all the spots were full, but I imagine amazon will keep expanding opportunities here. does it let you get on a wait-list?
Another thing I do is if there is another store on the way to delivery that is missing items is I might pop in and see if they have it because you can get it there. It adds a little time to the delivery but makes the customer happy. Especially if you shopped at the wrong store in the first place.
Definitely an improvement and yes babies drink electrolytes lol it's usually if they're sick and have been throwing up you can also give it to sick chickens.
Also good for anyone with dehydration which makes it great for hangovers
Especially diarrhea which also dehydrates. 😬
Adults drink it too or at least I do. I like it bcuz it has less sugar & salt than gatorade.

@@GoHerping yea i try to stick to a area with like 2-3 stores stick to them because you will learn the store fast and getting in and out fast is key plus when you get to know the employees alot of the time they will open a new lane for me in check-out if they see me
Hey, Alex!! What brand/name of glasses do you wear? They look so sleek🙃
eyebuydirect, ironically they're called "algorithm"...
Are you recording by having a gopro strapped to your chest?
yeah
Oh, it`s a Subaru, never mind. Looks a lot like the Hyundai Tiburon!
I know you'll never do this but I'm pretty sure you can make this money and more MUCH faster by serving tables at your downtown restaurant scene
What he SHOULD do is get a career job at the post office... but that's hard work.
@@jeffw1267 lots of jobs are hard work, not sure what you're insinuating here
Bro said “oh there’s labels” 💀
I haven't heard a peep about reptiles from you in a long time. Do you still have your reptile business? Do you still have your pets like Betty?
I think he has mentioned not liking dogs a lot, so that would be extra interesting..or extra disastrous. 😬
Instacart is easy for people who cook because they're used to where a lot of stuff is. The more you grocery shop the more you'll understand the layout! I like doing instacart and doordash, both are rewarding usually for me
What do you do for car insurance? I've only found Progressive commercial and it's outrageously expensive!
@@GoHerping That's a big risk. If they find out you're driving for work purposes they won't cover anything if you get in an accident.
You can habd regular progressive and add ride share driving on your normal policy. You don't need progressive commercial.
That was a tough order.
You'd be bad at supermarket sweep... lol
Also, pedialyte is something you drink when you're dehydrated or sick(or have a hangover). Adults can use it too. It's like smart water and Gatorade, it has electrolytes.
Baby owner. LMAOOOO. 💀💀💀
@goherping
your license plate is fully visible when you go to put the groceries in the car please stay safe
thanks! but license plates are public information. Idk why people blur them
@@GoHerping probably to feel more in control honestly. I like your plate it made me smile
Go pro strapped to your head?
Please do a video reacting to the various Instacart/Doordash/Ubereats etc. subreddits. There is some seriously funny/crazy shit on there.
Do you still have your animals?
at 10:39, the cost calculation, I dont think $15/hr is including the cost of gas right?
yeah these are pre-expense numbers. but mileage write-offs basically reimburse the gas
If it does, leave it.
since when do you drive a BRZ? is there a video about it
It spends a lot of time in his driveway.
is that after gas expenses?
im confused alex weres the reptile content
Are you going to be online for dream fest Saturday and Sunday?
It's going to be crazy
Uber and lyft
Do you pay cash out of your pocket for the Groceries or is it already set up payment??
They give you a debit card, and money is transferred onto it before each order. So it's none of your own money
Dude how did you get Amazon flex though I've been trying to sign up and they keep telling me there's no openings in the Raleigh area
I signed up in October 2022 before all the spots were full, but I imagine amazon will keep expanding opportunities here. does it let you get on a wait-list?
@@GoHerping it does but I'm pretty sure I signed up for the wait list in 2020 😬 lol maybe it dumps after inactivity 🤷🏻♀️
Just keep checking. It really depends on where there is demand. I was able to get in Portland because they needed new drivers for a short time.
Another thing I do is if there is another store on the way to delivery that is missing items is I might pop in and see if they have it because you can get it there. It adds a little time to the delivery but makes the customer happy. Especially if you shopped at the wrong store in the first place.
