Yeah it’s a solid kit for a subject that doesn’t get covered much. As I mentioned I’d have liked a few more arm options in it, but the sculpting is crisp and the finished models look great.
those look pretty good. You can use them with hand weapons for earlier periods of Qing Chinese military too as the Han Chinese Green Standard infantrymen
I was thinking the same thing, hence why I wished there more hand weapon options. Would love an upgrade sprue with nothing but spears, pole arms, and hand weapons.
I have no need for this kit but am sure I will pick one up. WGA feels like they make all these different kits just because they can. I’ve even started warming up to the oddball Quar’a War minis.
As I mentioned in the intro, they do a good job of covering a lot of obscure gaps in other miniature companies ranges and hitting a ton of different time periods/subjects. This comes at the expense of not having any complete ranges yet (though they seem to be taking a different tack with their Medieval range, which has 4 more kits coming this fall) but in the short term it means I’m also constantly hit with similar thoughts of “oh hey look, another kit I don’t need but will probably pick up anyway.”
@@fearlessfreep3962 Planning to pick up the Conquistadors for my Empire and…well, all of the Medieval boxes for my alternate Bretonnians. Going to be a busy couple of months!
@@mhovar101 Yeah I relate to that concern, where only a handful of releases per year truly interest me. On the flip side I prefer this method to the Perry Brothers, who (other than their limited forays into WoTR and HYW) pretty much exclusively put out Napoleonic, Civil War, and WW2 releases that don’t interest me.
Ohhhhh now these look perfect for a good kitbash ... love the videos bro always good to be introduced to new kits 👌 ❤️👍
These look great!

I’m glad they are getting into the medieval period, the foot knights are great. Also looking forward to the mounted conquistadors.

Removing mold lines is my least favorite part of this whole thing.
Preach that man, nothing worse than scraping and scraping only for the model to look like…an unfinished plastic model.
Is it possible to build them all with melee weapons and no firearms?
Yes, though you’ll need to include at least one pole arm for every five models.
@@Dan-ds8sf I don't mind that, I just prefer to use them as proxies in less gun focused fantasy settings

I really like wargames Atlantic but imo they have too many feet in too many doors.
