I don't have anything from the second one.. But own everything from the Dungeons and Lasers line from Archon Studios (encounters and forward) and every single miniature from Next Level Miniatures. Both of these companies, while vastly different, in style, design, technique and even materials, are producing great miniatures.! Next level miniatures can sometimes differ on the smaller side of things and Archon has just made a shift in scale with their Deuslair campaign last year, going from 28mm to 32mm, though keeping their terrain and bases at 25mm.. That might sound confusing. And it is, but trust me, they are producing great work for very reasonable prices!
Some of mantic's Kings of War ambush sets have minis around this price point $1.15CAN. A lot of Oathmark minis are around $1.50 CAN. Both are NOT monopose and come with lots of options on how to kit them out. You end up with lots of extra bits for kitbashing. I bought both, and of the two, I have found the oathmark minis nicer than the mantic ones. The oathmark minis are made by Northstar, which produces a lot of cheap minis. Wargames Atlantic also has nice looking cheap minis, though I haven't bought any so far. All one pose per weapon type, one piece, and lots of flashing that would require removing. These are great suggestions sir. It's always nice to get ideas for high quality, yet affordable miniatures for our games. I've know about eM4 for awhile and have ordered some pre-painted figures from them. I got a pack of 5 metal sci-fi troopers which had that old Rogue Trader feel to the sculpts. I also got 5 metal fantasy orcs which I had to do some touchup work on as they got loose in the packaging and chipped during shipping. eM4 appears to have obtained the license for at least some of the old Grenadier Miniatures line for their WFB clone which was called Fantasy Warriors. The metal orcs I got were figures for that and the plastic dwarves and orcs are also from the Fantasy Warriors box. Cheers.

Most "Medival" Plasticminiatures from Historic Games are about 1$ also. For Fantasy Miniatures you can name the Oathmark Range from Northstar Figures (most Boxes are about 30bugs for 30 Miniatures) or for fantasy and Sci Fi Wargame Atlantic for a similar price

I just bought dungeons and lasers core set for something to paint in between warhammer. For the core set on sale for $85 and there are 99 minis. Not sure how the market is for fantasy minis. I also bought some next level minis to paint, fantastic quality, softer plastic and I like the one sprue style of dungeons and lasers better but if you just want one or two minis next level is a great option. Go to miniature market online to buy either - not affiliated just a fan of their shop and customer service.
Just an FYI: Reaper makes a series of minis called Bones, you might have heard of it, their prices are comparable with the ones you mentioned in the video, not GW's.
@@LetsTalkTabletop The Black are not as flexible as the older white ones, but do bend some, so I will give you that, though I will also say that the hot water/Ice water hack does work. As for priming, you can either airbrush the primer on, brush paint the primer, or if using Reaper paints, just paint it on.
Next Level Miniatures are phenomenal quality for the price I also enjoy Dungeons and Lasers minis with my only criticism being that their scale is all over the place.
Hät Miniatures puts out super cheap historical miniatures in 1/72 scale. It's perfect for those that want to do historical but don't want to shell out a ton of cash.
I've been buying Next Level Miniatures for a while now. I've even done a few videos and community posts about them on my channel. They are a great line of fantasy miniatures at rock bottom prices. They have definitely become my go to place when buying miniatures
@LetsTalkTabletop They're don't put their miniatures in individual blisters at all. When you order from them, you get all your order in as few zip-lock baggies as possible. If it's a multi-part mini, then that will get it's own baggie, or if you order one of their box sets, it'll come in the box. They've reduced packaging to an absolute bate minimum.
I've heard about "Brutal Space", though not the others. Not into skirmish that much, but "creating characters & solo" still sounds interesting. Like "5 Parsecs from Home", I guess. Problem is, here in Germany, a lot of stuff isn't realy available, and if you don't have a credit card, way less options. I'll have to look into the matter...
Getting to buy cheap miniatures is great - until my hoard of grey became too large! =) What about... a showcase of painted, cheap miniatures? You mentioned three companies but didn't really showcase their products as much as I'd want. Any how, thank you for video!
@@LetsTalkTabletop Ohhhhh. Now I remember EM4. I vaguely remember those minis. I think they are from a fighter game called Silent Death. I'm looking for something more of a Star Trek or Star Wars capital ship. Like the Enterprise or a Star Destroyer.
Go on Etsy and look for starship miniatures. They are relatively cheap, usually 4 to 6 dollars a piece. If you want something with an IP like Star Trek or Star wars you will have a harder time finding it but they can be found.
Find cheap miniatures that you can use the body for, and then just buy the heads as bits on eBay for your krieg. I'm sure you can find the heads for sale only. Maybe a dollar ahead.
Wow ... haven't looked at em4 for years ...theyre still going ! 👍... got some 8 sided dice from them, that have points of the compass on them 😊 .... a strange idea to use my ....er ...my .er....imagination ...!!😂
Reaper vs GW: Reaper is only ~$6/mini for their newer releases, older stuff is ~$4/mini. I want to also say GW is pricier at ~$8-$12+/mini, but I avoid GW so I may be talking out of my butt. Dungeons & Lasers: Their problem is their brand is WAY too identified with their line of pre-made dungeon tiles. Their price range is good, but not enough to blow Wargames Atlantic out of the water, & WGA's minis are all non-mono-pose, so yeah. I might put money on the Beastmen preorder, because price is decent & the minis are unique/interesting, but really wouldn't characterize them as a particularly affordable option. Em4: Look, I like the minis but the affordability aspect really isn't actually there, their US storefront pretty consistently shows ~$4/mini for humanoid sized singles... that's slightly cheaper than newer Reaper but not astoundingly so, & definitely not what people are looking for to put together warbands & armies together on the cheap. I LIKE the style, but reality just doesn't agree with the pricing range on the us-storefront. Next Level: OK, wow, yeah this is the real deal. If I had to theorize, their lower price might reflect lower quality, since all their minis are resin (NOT printed, they do say injected, but still resin), which is often more brittle & less durable than plastic. They've also limited themselves to the D&D centric market which mostly buys Wiz-Kids & Reaper. Still, gonna give these folks a whirl. My goto option for affordable minis would 1st be ebay/etsy, troll the site & look for good deals. Obviously I'm at the mercy of whatever is on sale though :D. Following that, Wargames Atlantic just rules, decent prices & great minis... although they have a construction requirement & you have to buy in bulk.
EM4 has miniatures for 50 cents. It's a select number, just crossbow dwarves, ax dwarves, bow orcs, and spear orcs, but they are 50 for $25 or something. They also have miniatures that are sci-fi for roughly a dollar a piece. It depends on what unit you're talking about for games workshop. A lot of troops are 50 bucks for 10. So that's $5 a model. Some elite units are $60 for three models, obviously $20 a model. So generally you can say about $6 a model but it varies.

Haha. You mean the pips on my logo? They are intentionally wrong, when I originally made the logo for my convention I accidentally put the pips on wrong, so I decided when I made this channel to do the same thing.
This video is absolutely misleading. It's comparing single miniatures to pack of miniatures and that makes no sense. If you buy an army pack of any Mantic game it's quite cheap as well. The same goes even for Games Workshop. I mean I can get 31 Orcs for €54 from GW. 20 Icekin Hunters from Mantic cost € 28,-. And then there are the boxes for Oathmark or Frostgrave from Northstar. Or boxes from Fireforge Games, Perry or Gripping Beast.

I also bought some next level minis to paint, fantastic quality, softer plastic and I like the one sprue style of dungeons and lasers better but if you just want one or two minis next level is a great option. Go to miniature market online to buy either - not affiliated just a fan of their shop and customer service.
I bought some Next Level Miniatures from my local shop without realizing who they came from. They're GREAT sculpts. Photos do not do them justice.
Just an FYI: Reaper makes a series of minis called Bones, you might have heard of it, their prices are comparable with the ones you mentioned in the video, not GW's.
Bones are ok, but their flexible plastic is not high on my list. Also, they can't be spray primed.
Love your Poster 🖖
Wish he would have said if they were pre painted
None of them are pre-painted. Never thought to say that but good point.
They look great! I don't know how they do it!
Skull & Crown is my favorite indie mini company.
Next Level look really good, but if you are not in the USA the shipping is like a spiked flail to the face.
Oh. 😳
Bombshell miniatures are sculpted digitally but with a hand sculpted quality. The prices are very reasonable and they sell printable files.
I'll take a look at them! Great suggestion!
Great review. I'll be checking these out. I'll also be checking out your games Brutality, Brutal Space & Brutal Epic.
Thank you! ❤️
Yo uso figuras de ITALERI para los héroes,y para los monstruos las que salen en las bolsas
Getting to buy cheap miniatures is great - until my hoard of grey became too large! =)
What about... a showcase of painted, cheap miniatures? You mentioned three companies but didn't really showcase their products as much as I'd want.
Any how, thank you for video!
That crazy how cheap they are, i ought to clean out my aunt gargage for that.
I love eM4 Miniatures!
I have their cheap dwarves and human barbarians.
Now if you know any dirt cheap starship minis, I'm all ears.
Actually!! EM4 also has a grab bag of very cheap ship minis!
What I’m really looking for is a way to start a death kore of kreeg army without having to pay games work shop prices
Find cheap miniatures that you can use the body for, and then just buy the heads as bits on eBay for your krieg. I'm sure you can find the heads for sale only. Maybe a dollar ahead.
@@LetsTalkTabletop thanks I appreciate that I may eventually going breakdown and buy a 3-D printer. I’m also considering buying a 3-D scanner.
I think Wargames Atlantic do WW1 minis in plastic. Could be a starting point but won't match the GW figures in style.
@@edevans5991 thank you appreciate the advice
Wow ... haven't looked at em4 for years ...theyre still going ! 👍... got some 8 sided dice from them, that have points of the compass on them 😊 .... a strange idea to use my ....er ...my .er....imagination ...!!😂
love the intro but you dint add links
Oh, good point. I intended to do that but I forgot. I'll try to add them in the show notes.
Please put links to your references in the description.
Did I understand you correctly? Dungeons and lasers miniatures are on a smaller scale than say, WizKid or reaper miniatures.?
They are the same scale as wizkids, not sure about reaper.
Put some links dude
If we can help financially is their other ways to help you out? I enjoy your content and have learned a lot about the miniature gaming community.
Wow! That's nice of you! You can support my channel by either supporting my games, which can be found at www.brutalityskirmishwargame.com or you can check out my Patreon at www.patreon.com/letstalktabletop
Some old heroclix/mage minis are easily repurposed and can be good.
Probably half my Brutality warbands are kitbashed HeroClix. Great idea.
Aren’t those “Next Level Miniatures” resin rather than pvc/plastic?
Wich one is like heroscape or warhammer?
What do you mean?
@@LetsTalkTabletop I dont like board games witht he gameplay like d&d. i need a book or a card with attack, defense, special attacks etc.
Oh, these are just miniatures for any game. No stats.
Thank you so much for the video. 🙂
But thid dice... 😅
Haha. You mean the pips on my logo? They are intentionally wrong, when I originally made the logo for my convention I accidentally put the pips on wrong, so I decided when I made this channel to do the same thing.
@@LetsTalkTabletop Do whatever you want, it's your channel and i like your content. But this dice and me will never become friends. 😀
😄😄😄
Next level lost me on their first kickstarter. It was worthless for me. Way too small.
