    Thank you for this!
I make costumes for my son and want them to be good. I'm making a coat with a high collar and you are helping me!
I just bought linen and everything to make the suit for this costume from B. Black and Sons on recommendation from Kenneth D. King. It's all very nice.

Thank you. I've been designing a TOS uniform with a collar similar to this.

Is the color black or similar to star trek beyond? Always thought beyond had a nice polished look to the uniforms.

Excellent. Thank you. Can you make a visual tutorial for the attachment process ? That would be ....perfection.

Great video! It is obvious you care very much about your art. I can't say I would special order interfacing for a single project when JoAnn's is so close but that is why your results are so good. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your patterns and tutorials.

      Glad you enjoyed the video!
The great thing about using high-quality canvas interfacing for this is that you can get quite a few collars' worth out of even a single yard of narrowest canvas - perfect for making multiple TNG-style uniforms, or perhaps the same uniform in different division colors. You can get a lot of "collar mileage" out of a yard, even when bias-cut!

Will this stand up better to the weight of the rank pips?
