Love your channel and Im glad you did a review on this! I purchased the D1RC D110 a few months ago and love it. I actually ordered it with the Sense Dual sound installed. The company was very good to work with. Look forward to more videos. I would love to see a test on the Traxxas K5 high trail.
Somone about a half a mile from my house owned a real one of those trucks. Used to see it all the time. Its amazing how well they did on the weathering.
Definitely crazy since it has no wheel weights or brass down low. It's got fully locked diffs too. Its trick is balance, huge/supportive shocks, and the wheels slip a little in turns

Thanks for the review. Have seen a lot of them here on YT, and they seem to have very happy owners. It’s much like a Boom Racing, maybe even more. D1rc say you only need to contact them in need of parts. I’ve been looking at one for a while now, and I’m going to order one, probably the 110. In the first place, it seems like most parts will hold many times most other rc’s so I’m not too afraid about that. When a rc is built like that, they are serious enthusiasts and that’s something we all should embrace! I never thought it was that fast, and equally handle that top heavy weight that well😳 amazing!
Yeah, this thing is not going to break. Just gotta loctite the metal to metal screws to not loose anything. The balance and poise is amazing. Never seen anything like it and I've had a lot modded Boomracing and TRX4. It's running 3s on the 2300kv Hobbywing fusion Pro. I think it was originally geared for 2s on a 1800kv Hobbywing
@@RCReviewChannel Good to hear, I have a BRX01 - and it’s amazing, so this seem to be at least the same. I know, I think D1rc have really worked on low center of gravity and on the shocks.. they nailed it! Working on my TRX-4’s giving them Gnade RSD piggybacks to hold heavy hard body- so far they are a wast improvement over the stock shocks, cause they won’t hold thin oil.. and with thick oil, they’re not realistic in the movement.
Hi Francis great review as per usual but 'spare leaf spring on the hood'?? Lol It's actually the head of an axe, the handle is supposed to be attached to the bracket above the rear door. As for the price it does appear to be a lot but as someone that has kitted out and highly detailed my defender's those extras add up fast. I've easily spent more than that whole truck just on accessories for my d130 overland build. Keep up the good work 👍
Yeah, So cool to see the Camel Trophy rc runs over there and in other parts of Asia. I think when folks see them in person, and when there are group rallies, it's a done deal.
I like it I would get the 4door version, actually not a bad price for what you get, I don’t know why pickup version so much more.Great video great review 👍👍👍
the one website known for selling inexpensive merchandise is selling one of the most expensive rtr crawlers in the rc game, and it looks legit. did hell freeze over or did pigs start flying? lol
At this price level, I was wondering if it has a 3rd (center) differential which would improve handling even more and would be technically correct from an engineering perspective.
it's nice, exxept the patina looks wrong - I owned a LR that was 40yo, and the rivets didn't do this. So a very nice model, a terrific review, but I'd put my money in the SCX6 Honcho for sure, as one of your other viewers said. I'm glad new models are coming out, but just too expensive for my taste 👍🍺🇬🇧
Agreed. Maybe we can fix and weather that paint properly. It surely deters folks from buying for $1k since it doesn't look quite dialed with these patina photos on their site.
Hello, I have some questions about the car that weren't very clear in the video (I'm from Brazil). 1- How long does the battery last? 2- Is the car waterproof or is it water resistant? 3-what is the signal range?
It's cool and all, but I don't really care about scale. I just want fun and am willing to spend money on building a truck how I want. Plus, I only invest in a product with a good aftermarket. Axial and Traxxas have that in spades.
Very nice but reminds me of my hardbody 4 door 1/8 double E D90 i got for only 200 on Ali Express a few years ago. Im sure this is better but around 600 dollars better? Ehhh
Somewhat the same shape but this one is truly dialed. Titanium links, Hobbywing Fusion pro motor, the best suspension I've ever seen in a trail crawler.
@RCReviewChannel It truly is a beauty on a scaler standpoint. Performance wise you could do much better in that price range. But that's apples and oranges I guess.
Awesome video. I’m ordering one although it’s way above my budget. Look what this crazy does to you 😂 BTW, where and how you install the sound module. Would appreciate a video on that and connecting the turn signals to park lights. I’m a bit technically challenged, you see.
Nice rtr, but the paintjob ruins it a bit for me and I would expect inner fenders in that price range. PS: if you want to operate the winch with your remote, there's a cheap solution. I use a controller from Amazon for roughly 7€. If you are a diy guy, use a board from an old servo. A bit of soldering required, but there are some easy tutorials on yt.
Nice truck.. although i find half of the pleasure in the hobby (for me) is specifying and building, so would be more likely to spend that on parts for something unique
I want to buy a 110 model...I don't know why the hood is different from the 90 model 90 is the original...I'd like to change the hood separately…That's too bad.
The steering on this is much better and is perhaps the tightest I've ever seen. The shocks on the D1RC are big bore and can damp the weight of the heavy vehicle better. The links are all high clearance. The lights on this are just world class with such neat wiring and control boxes. Swivel body mounting is A+. And the working winch and roof accessories are on point. Finally, this drives like a balanced heavy vehicle. So realistic. My BoomRacing machines are just heavy precision machines but they don't drive well.
@@RCReviewChannel Im kinda new to this RC thing, but was a propmaster (models) in Hollywood in another lifetime. I just spend 2 days painting this shell and looking at how they just blurped and airbrush over it and called it weathering pains me. Waiting on a decal kit from Germany and scale accessories from Alliexpress, then its done.
It looks amazing. The attention to all of the little scale details is impressive. I think for this price it should absolutely have a working "bonnet" and doors. 🤓
The solo trail running clip was great. Cool and capable unit. When a group does a trail run video and they have matching team livery....chefs kiss 😅

Great to hear from an owner. Thank you very much. Any problems or any upgrades?
How do you like it? Does it compare to anything else?
I remember suggesting to you on this a year ago. Glad to see this on your review. You might wanna run that in a muddy place. It's gonna be awesome.
Its refreshing to see something other than Traxxas, Arrma, Losi etc. Good vid mate
Somone about a half a mile from my house owned a real one of those trucks. Used to see it all the time. Its amazing how well they did on the weathering.
Very cool!
Nice! For a hard body and so top heavy, it seemed very stable on fast tight turns. Crazy.

That's not spare leaf, i suppose its a pickaxe 😂😂😂😂😂 definitely ndot scale model, look at the stairs, antennas 😂😂😂etc
Great comment
That would make sense. But this thing is about a 2-inch flat strip of metal.
@@RCReviewChannel that's why if you want to make something really good, do it yourself.

$864.50 on Ali Express!!! That is insane. From Ali Express!?
Yeah, I think a lot of people have a hard time with that, including myself.
Didn’t you watch? It goes 11.1 mph 😆
Friggin expensive $1141 for the rtr man ouch
@bbroken1, yeah that is with a $350 radio though. It's just best to buy a $60 Flysky GT5 for it and get the $850
Comes with NB4
These are very popular in Malaysia. Having seen it with my own eyes, cannot agree more with you. Nice review as always 😁

I have a new one for sale. Open door version.
@@enzomalaysia Why sell it? Not satisfied?
This is the first and one n only D1RC full product review ever..
Great job bro! Tnx!
Ya, know... I'm not making any money on this one from affiliate sales and stuff. But sometimes, the vehicle is worth all the video effort.
Awesome video when are you gonna get back into mountain biking?

Such a awesome review! I really do love this channel. And by the way in digging the drone video of this was pretty cool seeing! 💯👌
Looks pretty sweet. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the blinkers turn on every time you turn the wheel.
Yeah, easy enough to rewire that with the parking lights.
the one website known for selling inexpensive merchandise is selling one of the most expensive rtr crawlers in the rc game, and it looks legit. did hell freeze over or did pigs start flying? lol
Exactly. That's the irony that prevents folks from giving this a second look. Making this available on Amazon will certainly make a difference.
I love this thing, but man the sound is annoying and the turn signals drive me mad. There has to be a way to turn them off.
Great review as always. I can definitily see you've upped your video editing skills as well.
Ha, ha... thank you. I go up and down. There was a bit of inspiration on this one.
At this price level, I was wondering if it has a 3rd (center) differential which would improve handling even more and would be technically correct from an engineering perspective.
Ahh, the front and rear diferentials are actually fully locked. So a center diff won't be too beneficial until the front and rears are unlocked.
@RCReviewChannel Thank you. Are there any 4wd models with center diffs?
Oh man the work that went into that, if i could afford it id get it, and they have a bouncer cage thats cool
Yeah, it really seems like some enthusiasts there just built their dream car and they had a lot of resources.
@@RCReviewChannel right, i think ill get their ripper looking chassis though, if i can ever sell my current bouncer chassis that is lol

Hello, your videos are very good, I would like to know what sound equipment you installed in the defender and where I can buy it, thank you very much!

Nice rig.. really nice 👍
I'd have to cut the wire for the turn signals tho lol
Yeah, I'll do that soon. Reroute.
Yeah I think I'd rather buy the scx6 honcho for a little more
That is a good rc!!
a way better idea! 👍🍺🇬🇧
Thanks very much for the in-depth review. Are the electric components waterproof please?
Where is this crawling spot? I am also located in norcal.
You guys are freaking WONDERFUL ❤️👍. My only question for this rig is, can you turn off the turn signals?
Yes, they are easy to rewire into the park lights.
Is there a way to disconnect the turn signals?

This looks absolutely awesome I would love this for my channel 😅 shame I can't get it in the UK 😢😢
Thank you for your videos 🙏 fantastic and helpful 🙏
Problem with all the RC Defenders, except for Boom Racing, on the market is that they have 6 bolt wheels instead of the 5 on the real Defender.
The D90 and D110 versions are both good, but the suspension both come with are a tad soft.
They seem to have fixed it now so there is wallowing and bounce.
Nice rtr, but the paintjob ruins it a bit for me and I would expect inner fenders in that price range.

I want one of these I've always loved the look
I’ve had my eyes on this prize for quite some time. Very much next level.
Yeah, I saw it when RC Girl reviewed it. Still surprised me in person.
That is incredible. So scale
It's scale and it drives well!
Nice truck.. although i find half of the pleasure in the hobby (for me) is specifying and building, so would be more likely to spend that on parts for something unique
Fair enough! Yeah, the true enthusiasts like to build. Others like to upgrade. And the mass market appreciates RTR and instant play!
Worth every Euro! I love mine 🤙🏻
Really huh? How long have you had it? Any issues? Certainly runs well since it is so balanced.
$1,800 for us Aussies, I don’t think I will be buying it any time soon
OMG!!!! Insanity pricing!
Can you shut the blinker function off?
I will ask them.
Almost looks like a RTR BRX01 with the land rover body on it :)
It really does. But this one is better. More balanced, way better steering and shocks and the lighting and wiring is insane.
Where is this trail??
I want to buy a 110 model...I don't know why the hood is different from the 90 model 90 is the original...I'd like to change the hood separately…That's too bad.
I love this car, but is very expensive. Nie review
Still the accessories are the cheap once. Doors needed to be opening at least at that price. Better buy a Boomracing for that price
Good call. I have two BoomRacing rigs and this is actually better in most respects.
@@RCReviewChannel you really think it's better then boom racing ? In what order ? Mechanics? Or scale driving? The bodies not I think

rtr crawler.... I've never seen an RTR like this. and I've seen a lot. :)
Ali express start to become to gready
That truck price it's over-priced
6 bolts on the wheels, not that accurate 😅
i'll take one out. :)
Land rover Camel never used 6 lug wheels. Poor for a scale truck. Just saying.

$864 😂😂😂
dollars too!
The sound kit is useless
Well, it delivered sooo much smiles on 3 packs now. Personal preference of course.
That ‘patina’ is awful!
Definitely not, I'd get a Boomracing Defender for that money.
