Thanks for the great content. Your videos, as well as others on YT, have convinced to make the jump. This thing is so scale and so well done. I am looking forward to Friday when it finally gets here!! Expensive, yes, but when you consider the scale look, the great components already installed and compare that with other scale vehicles by other manufacturers…. Well, the D1RC isn’t that far off, IMHO. Thanks again!

After reading all the reviews, and watching the video, I agree with the crowd not worth that much money, I understand some of the quality parts but, no way I would spend that for this truck either, I just bought my FMS FJ40 for 350,
And for a few more bucks I'll make it top notch when I'm done with it 🙏✝️☮️

The patina doesn't appear as rust to me, more the red/brown & dusty dirt that gets in absolutely everywhere and worked into the paint when you drive off-road in Australia and other remote and dry parts of the world.
I was given a rag and diluted acid to clean this off a vehicle years ago. It was the only way, elbow grease alone could never do it. 😅

I appreciate the scale ness and the extra durable metal parts wench and looks like carbon fiber frame but I’m pretty sure my $475 traxxas defender would tow that rig through the creek with the wheels locked lol. It’s cool but rocks are larger than those tires will like many times but on the other hand, sometimes the big tire/suspension trucks need such obstacles that you about have to build or arrange to even make it challenging when this truck I’m sure you can find a challenge often. Comparing a D1RC rig to Traxxas isn’t really a great comparison; I own both so I can comment. You want ultimate performance? Sure, Traxxas. You want a beautiful scale experience with a surprising amount of capability with small tires? D1RC all day. Also, D1RC rigs leave you wanting to improve nothing; they are very well built out of the box, as they should be with the high price tags.
I have two trx4’s and love them, I also have the d1rc discovery and love it, but I don’t take them to the same places; it’s a different experience.

Id imagine buying a stock TRX-4 defender and getting it to this level will cost you some pretty serious money and time. So ya hate to come off it all at once but scalers will 20 dollar and 50 dollar and 100 dollar themselves to death

If we get technical it's has license plates there for needs to be road worthy...you need indicators on road to be able to get to your off-road destination 🤷

If there were a switch to enable/disable just the turn signals, or have them function like a 1:1 vehicle, with a momentary switch, or similar. I think most would be satisfied with either, or both, of those solutions.
What’s wrong with turn signals? I would have given my organs for that as a kid.
No one uses turn signals off-road. Other than that, there's nothing necessarily wrong w/turn signals on an RC. But, if they're going to be there, they should work more like real turn signals, and have a l/r switch on the remote, not be activated EVERY time the wheels turn left or right. At least provide the ability to turn (just) them off. Imo, the way they function currently is ridiculous and annoying. But, if you're good with it, who am I to judge? Thanks for the comment.
