Can’t wait for the aftermath. When we bombard their spaces and pages with the truth. And they show their true colors. They don’t want to share the culture, they want to own the culture, our culture. And this time, unlike with rock n roll, jazz, and country, we will defend it. Bravo brother Tariq.
This needs to be a series
Yes. I agree. There’s more truth to be told. Like me and my sister bein the Creators of a very Popular sayin to hype up the crowd that all the Rappers and R & B singers used. It went like this: “SOMEBODY SAY HOOooo!!!”❤❤❤
I was watching a video about non FBA so-called Hip Hop pioneers. Someone said that calling Joe Conzo a pioneer in Hip Hop because he took photos is like saying a WWII photographer helped win the war. Would someone call a WWII photographer a war veteran? Hell No. 😆

Our people, the popular musical originators, the writers, musicians, vocalists, producers, conductors, performers, etc., for 105 years now, only got compensated with handfuls of crumbs from the trillions-of-dollars of business generated from selling our music. Nevertheless, our lineage has created these popular, globally enjoyed & copied musical art forms: Blues, Swing, Rag Time, Jazz, Big Band Jazz, Doo-Wop, Bebop, Dixieland, R&B, Soul, Rock-N-Roll, Grunge, Techno, Disco, Southern Gospel R&B Music, Sanctified Gospel Music, House, HipHop, Hip-House, Trap, Acid Jazz, Drill, Neo-Soul, Funk - and Pop Music. Most of today's Pop Music & other inspired genres of music still catalogued for business around the world, is a "fusion remix," from all the musical art forms that Foundational & Native Black Americans have created. ✅💥👈

A lot this info is on Micheal Wayne TV's channel. Let's give props to that brother, for being a pioneer in giving a voice to the TRUE pioneers. While they were still here to tell the stories. Some have already passed on.
It's called Hip-hop since71 now because Dr. Colon started harassing Michael Wayne's (Fat Mike) family. They asked him to change the name.
RIP Fat Mike 😪 ♠️
The majority of the leg work was done by that brother. His first video was a response to the other boroughs that were claiming that hip hop did not start in the Bronx. The video documentary he was responding to was called Founding Fathers.
RIP Fat Mike
The brother who used Mike Wayne's name deserves a huge display of respect..

One criticism: the AI scaling gives off this surreal, dream-like look that throws me off a little. I’d rather have the grainy look that the photos from that era naturally had to keep the authentic look. Maybe place a disclaimer at the intro about the photos?
But other than that, I’m hype!

I hope Tariq was able to interview FBA Beaver the first celebrity bboy of the bronx. In the documentary " The freshest kids" The nyc breakers manager said that black kids invented breakin' and the puerto ricans put breakers on their backs. Even Crazy Legs said when puerto ricans saw breakin' for the first time they called it the "moreno(black) style". All they did is add on some new moves. They also said a puerto rican bboy named Spy was the best from the 1st generation but the funny this he's an afro-puerto rican. So a black latino was a hero to most of the white ones.
Freshest Kids was a great documentary
Stop it! Tone Deaf, Rthymless, uncoordinated HISPANICS created NOTHING.
@user-or4xb6dm2y I said that they added on some new moves to breakin' , I didn't say they created the dance.
No such person as a BLACK LATINO. Why do people just create some FRANKENSTEIN to attach to AMERICAN N36R03S aka BLK AMERICANS. WE NOT HAVING IT! Where no BLACK AMERICAN LATINOs in AMERICA during 1600's. Now, they just pop up along with those AFRO-LATINOs.
