PSA: 📣 Spit anything with coconut oil in a trashcan, not the sink, or you'll ruin your plumbing! Also, coconut oil and essential oils should not be mixed or stored in plastic unless HDPE #2 or PET #1...they break down the chemicals and petrochemicals in the plastics/styrofoams/etc. and will leach toxins back into the product. Better to use glass or stainless steel products to mix and store, to be on the safe side. 🙂

Using coconut oil in cooking pulling or as toothpaste is fine, but if you pour it down the drain or spit in in the sink it will clog your drains... Seriously you will be calling a plumber at some point.... Coconut oil hardens at room temperature and in the cold drains it will become a solid block......

Large mouth makes it easy to load and with the lid having a small spout it’s easy to pour on toothbrush. I keep one in my shower and use it as a body scrub. Hi Sandy!
Great tips on a budget you got there. Your pearly white are literally sparkling 🦷
I got several questions, hope you don't mind :
    1. Did you have any dental procedure in the such as braces, fillings, crowns, root canal, veneers, implants, or something like that?
    2. Did your teeth have any sensitivity when eating something cold or sweet like ice cream?
    3. Did you ever whiten or bleach your teeth?
    4. How about making another video on your other dental routines to keep those pearly whites, such as flossing?
I'm jealous with your teeth, I would pay money to have pearly whites like yours.
I hope you answer my question, thank you ☺️

Hi Jenn!! Thank you so much for watching and your questions. Usually I am quicker about answering but have been on a nice long vacation.
      1. I did have braces when I was in middle school. 7th grade. I have had no other dental procedures though.
      2. every once in a while I will have sensitivity. But nothing that has bothered me and I use regular toothpaste, not anything for sensitivity.
      3. I have never bleached my teeth but I have tried Crest Whitestrips before but, they really hurt my teeth, so I no longer use anything like that.
      4. I do floss. I like flossing. Plus I have one tooth that has a gap and seems to get food stuck in it, so I carry floss with me. My dentist says flossing is uber important.
      I hope this was helpful!

Hi sandy! So I stained my teeth about a year ago ( I drank a lot of soda’s while I had my braces on ) and I’ve been wanting to whiten my teeth, my older sister suggested peroxide and baking soda so I tried it and it didn’t do much, it cleaned my teeth a bit but nothing extreme. It was only my first time using it but I was just wondering if that technique actually worked long term. In the video you mentioned in the beginning you could use the peroxide once a month but my sister mentioned using it 4-5 times a week once a day, which I’m not sure is 100% safe, what are your thoughts?

    • @sandysteinbrook
      @sandysteinbrook  3 года назад +46

So, I can only speak from experience, By using this way of whitening, it does take longer and you will not see immediate results, but if you stick to it, it really does work! But, you have to take it slow or you're going to have sore teeth. I think 4-5 times a week is way too often to use peroxide. I would be afraid to hurt my teeth doing it that often.
If you're a soda or tea drinker, try to drink through a straw so you're not constantly staining your teeth.
Thanks for watching, Delaney! I love questions.
