@@Timlesstoybox she has been in every single season by name up until g5, I will be so mad if she isn’t included she is the OG PONY! They sleep on my girl to much
@@egloli have a theory i which it might 5.6 and new generation could bee the wild manes ponies along with season g:4 and season g:5 ponies . Maybee it could bee this way.
Not a fan of the fact they decided to mix the cast and reset their backstories, just keep the looks and general personalities (if even that) so that they can market it. Like he mentioned reusing designs happening before but the artstyle of G4 was so different from other gens, they don't look alike at all (at least the ponies, but the rest are villians that obviously isn't the main cast)
I really think they missed a huge opportunity. If they had the cutie mark crusaders it wouldve been perfect. 3 different types of ponys, couldve rewritten skootaloo as dashes character and even have a part for diamond tiara
If they had the Cutie Mark Crusaders in some way, I need that. At least show up as adults with Cutie Marks or child cameo in this show. But Hasbro probably wants to sell the most profitable characters from previous generations.
Why would they use characters that aren’t going to bring them in the profits? These are the more popular ponies, and will be the ones to sell the most toys. Hasbro is a toy company after all, and with all the financial stuff they’re going thru, of course they’ll take what sells
right they can continue the story with so many ponies! We already watched the main 6's story they can move on now. I kind of wish they started over completely, but if they want to continue from g5, they have so many popular ponies we want to know more about. Flurry Heart, Trixie and Starlight Glimmer, Sunset Shimmer, Diamond Tiara and Silverspoon, Thorax, just to name a few.
Completely agree. I understand people want to give it a chance, but giving everything a chance is how we’ve ended up with sub-par media for the last 5 years.
Hey, remember how ten years ago there were leaks spiralling about what G5 would be like, and those used redesigns of the G4 characters, but those eventually got replaced with the new cast? It's quite possible that this reboot concept is only using the G4 and G5 characters as placeholders to figure out the general plot and design direction before making the actual new cast.
@@caidwab Not the show itself, the leaks from forever ago. You know, when it was rumoured that Applejack would be voiced by a black woman in G5 and everyone lost their minds because it was peak "own the SJWs with facts and logic" era?
ironically it kinda feels like as-is misty replaced fluttershy (anxious, shy), pip replaced rarity (likes fancy stuff, a little egotistical), and sunny replaced AJ (considering they wanted to change AJ anyway and both are orange earth ponies)... so if they replace all of them, isn't it just going to feel like g4 recolours anyway?? why bother with the g5s as placeholders?? wack
The bully antagonist feels kinda generic, tbh. They made sure to give her a blonde mane to make it real obvious that this is the "mean girl" character. G4 was smarter about that sort of thing (Diamond Tiara has a much more memorable design and name). I wonder if "Desiree Goldenhoof" would have her design fleshed out if this actually went beyond the pitch pilot we're seeing here.
my thoughts exactly though diamond tiara always seemed generic to me too being pink and having the spoiled rich girl personality. she was created in 2010 though when that type of character wasn’t too cliché yet. having a character like that in 2025 is just.. really?
The thing that was cancelled is a different project that brought G1, G4 and G5 together is what I heard. It was called "Ponyverse", but this is something different called Camp Cutie Mark.
Since Equestria got messed up during Twilight’s reign, something bad happened to Luster and her friends. I fear for the Young Six as well. Seeing Spike alone with four other dragons tells me something bad happened to Smolder and Dragon Lord Ember…
No. I swear this looks like one of those side books for kids under 5 to make a random mitch match and a random story that has nothing to do with the original show.
My main criticisms of this concept: - summer camp forces them to work with only a limited time and opens up chances for time inconsistencies later on - it sucks that 3/4 of them are G4 characters. I don't mind Misty; I like her. And I don't mind some of the G4 cast being there... But to make most of them that? Idk
Fair. I expected AJ to get cut because she is the last marketable, but I was shocked to not see Fluttershy. They mischaracterized Misty to make her the stand-in Fluttershy. I'm guessing Pipp is going to be our Rarity, and Sunny is our AJ.
It kinda feels weird to put the any of the mane 6 in a young teenager position. In friendship is Magic, they've always been independent adults from the very begining
Camp cutie mark could actually make a good game. The camp layout would make a good “overworld” and there could be a bunch of mini games that you could play as either an earth pony, Pegasus, or unicorn to do different games.
@@TheWildCard that was my thought almost instantly. But even playing the same level but you can’t reach areas until you play it again as one of the other ponies (something in the air only a Pegasus could get, maybe kicking down some crates only an earth pony could do, and a spell only a unicorn could do)
@TheWildCard don't forget about toola roola and coconut cream they also appeared in g4 as a cameo referencing the great ice cream war a classic g1 episode
is it just me that doesnt like this mix of g4 and g5? its odd seeing characters that were meant to take place thousands of years after the other half died, and its unicorn twilight? dont get me wrong, i really really like this idea of camp cutie mark and i think a good idea would be the grown up cutiemark crusaders as the owners or the past owners and they’re deceased if its years later. i feel like the mane 6 should be new and different characters, like what if we had a shy bookworm or something a bit mixed up?
Exactly. My biggest issue is it disregards the history of both shows.., are we supposed to forget Twilight got her cutiemark by hatching spike, or Pinkie pie seeing the rainboom, Fluttershy falling off the cloud, etc. None of them had these personalities either before getting their cutiemark..well maybe a select few but the lore knows. Maybe if they acted like their previous counterparts and had the same growth stories..? I hate this mainly because it CONTINUES to disregard the previous lore set.
NO BC THE CMC WOULD BE PERFECT!!! I’ve been saying if ccm is going to be a thing they should run/teach there, since helping other ponies get their marks is literally their thing.
Personally I guess I just have a different frame of mind about it. Doesn't bother me one bit, and is honestly kind of exciting to see Misty with the other three even if they aren't exactly the same characters. Now _that_ would've been even more exciting, a full crossover from the main canon G4 and G5 universes... Hopefully in the comics or something lol
yeah. all these characters already had their cutie marks, it doesn't make much sense to me. plus i for one really prefer alicorn twilight over unicorn twilight. idk why i just do
Probably wanted to pick one unicorn, pegasus and earth pony from each generation. Twilight is more popular than Rarity, Rainbow is more popular than Fluttershy and Pinky is more popular than AJ (no accounting for taste). Also they’d previously said they wanted to axe AJ because “cowboy is not a personality”.
@@cathygrandstaff1957I really wish I wrote in to them during like season 7ish of the show to explain to them how AJ actually works. Because I hated how they reduced her to apples so often without the integrity behind the role and now they don't see value in her (when she's the oldest licensed character in the whole franchise). Rarity isn't "fashion designer", Pinkie isn't "party planner". AJ was stubborn and independent from having to grow up quickly. She had traditional values like hard work and family, which certainly are "cowgirl" in the sense of an American conservative instead of overrelying on magic for everything or whatever counts as "proper "child role model" or "entertainment" now. But she was great to showcase the neighborly side of life in a different way to Pinkie. Like the "your roof got damaged in a storm, here's a roofer I know" type of way. And other aspects using knowledge she knows from local history through her large family and apple selling business. They touched on some aspects in the show, but they never went too deep in a story of local vs academic knowledge. Especially if Earth Ponies gained a greater druid angle with their magic like it was hinted at. Old magic with AJ family knowledge and stuff in a similar vein to Zecora or Meadowbrook compared to newer or alternative unicorn magic that "messes" with the natural order of things too much. There's a lot they could use, but the Team Mom character in the group is usually less marketable even though they're needed.
@@amandaslough125 I don't really think she comes of as a "cowgirl" or an "ameruican conservative" to be honest, she just feels like a farm girl, unless the cowboy/cowgirl has a very diferent meaning in english than what it means in portuguese.
i honestly think they should really focus on building a new cast completely separate from g4 like it can still be after g4 ending but not ENTIRELY connected to twilight
There's another instance of a different voice actor for Twilight. It's the MLP color game, i forgot the name, where they used Tabitha S. Germain as Twilight Sparkle
honestly i wanted them to start from scratch with everything… including the characters. camp cutiemark could be cool if we didnt know everyones personalities and destinies already 😭
@@UnsaidLiesmaybe one of the schools took a trip to the place like the school applebloom goes to but a different class, or maybe before her class got their cutie marks and it was about different characters
@@Wishfull._..Editor57 good point I like that idea it would be really cool to see the cutie Mark crusaders being the counselors. But if Hasbro really wants to do a school setting maybe they should bring back Equestria girls
The artstyle is so precious. One thing that made me feel weird though was the inclusion of their parents. It makes them seem way younger and less independent.
The story is kind of generic and the background characters seem generic, but we'll see what happens! I'm willing to give it a chance, low expectations for security, but willing to give it a chance
my little pony has always been like a guilty pleasure to me because i looooved the show as a little girl and it just kinda stuck with me and this channel has made me accept it, so yeah love your videos :D
I have to be honest I’m very very wary of this. It’s so easy to tell Lauren Fausts beautiful character design from the other characters even when they’re all rendered in an admittedly extremely nice artstyle. This is extremely nit picky but I also hate how they called their flank their “back leg”, i think they missed an opportunity to introduce vocabulary words to kids.
Flank was never proper equine anatomy anyway. It was used in the show because “blank flank” made for a cute rhyme. The flank is the side of the torso just forward of the hind leg. The place where cutie marks appear would be the haunch.
That's true. Something I thought was fun was the inclusion of actual horse anatomy. In the song 'art of the dress" Rarity sings "Croup, dock, haunch, shoulders, hip." It was nice attention to detail.
What Hasbro might not have realized is that the reason G5 has failed so badly is 2-fold. First, they tried to tie it to G4 and the lore, whilst they were apparently sharing the rights to G4 with Discovery Media. Secondly, they failed to plan out the story arc very far, and rushed it when they needed to wrap it up. As you can imagine, the pacing was all over the place, and the lore was a mess... Hopefully, whatever comes next is a proper soft-reboot, and these characters are technically not the same ones we had before... Even if they have the same personalities, they can have a totally different backstory and lore, and it should work!
I honestly really like G5 so the fact that it’s ending is super disappointing. Hopefully we get some actual information from Hasbro. Looks like I’m gonna have to hunt down all the toys before they stop selling them.
@lpstigerlily8506 there selling gen 5 toys for less than 10 dollars almost everywhere(near me at least) its so unpopular that u can find it in over stocked/ dead stocked stores overflowing sad actually but gen 5 was the worse (gen 2 didn't have a show) gen in terms of show and maybe tie with worse gen in toys with gen 3.5 and 4.5
im really upset that twilight has new friends/a new group. it doesnt feel right. and mistys the new fluttershy? probably because fluttershy was (at least I think she was) one of is not her best friends out of the group.
If they just bring back G4 and its style and showed more on flurry heart and the growth of Twilight and her students and all that they would make so much more money
i hate how they *completely* changed twilight's personality. you could argue "well its a new gen and theyre redoing her like how rainbow dash in gen 3 had rarity's personality!" but that was a completely different rainbow dash with a very different design... this is the same twilight (and other characters) design-wise but her personality is soooo different its jarring. i miss when she was sassy lol
Twilight is one of the original ponies, too. In G1 she was self-taught in magic, still learning to master it (nowhere near as powerful as G4 Twilight) and she fostered an orphan filly, not Spike the Dragon (though Spike the Dragon DID exist and he and Twilight were close friends 💜)
I do not like the look of this one bit. This whole thing screams that they cant let go of G4 but are unable to expand upon it so they're resetting everything to do some camp coral spin-off series and they cut half of the characters from each show
that’s how generations go, they reuse the names and design elements (or entire designs) of characters but change the characters themselves. think of this as like an alternate universe! :D
Désirée feels very flat, I am tired of the mean girl blonde stereotypes.. this show is definitely aimed towards a younger audience, which is a little dissapointing :/
YESSS. Like, I KNOW it’s a kid’s show. But even g4 still was enjoyable for adults. This show feels like it’s for 4 years olds and 4 year olds ALONE. Like, I guess understandable, but it’s still disappointing.
She is actually one of the things I like the most about this generation. I have a feeling she’s going to turn out like Sunset Shimmer, and the fandom will probably fall in love with her after her inevitable redemption arc.
@@demonqueen881Yeah it would have to be an alternative universe where this camp exists otherwise it doesn’t make sense why the Cutie Mark Crusaders didn’t go to this camp in G4.
I really like the concept but I think a school setting would make more sense then a camp. You can still have the message of finding yourself and who you wanna be but I feel there’s more story lines they can play with. We already got the mean girl, they could do a big dance episode, or the big game, maybe deal with a rival school in a competition. They could have different types of relationship drama whether platonic, romantic, or familial. Like maybe character A has a family that doesn’t expect there interest yet, or an episode where character B learns popularity isnt everything. That and adult and kids alike love magic school storylines. Not to mention all the toy possibilities. A school play set, merponies for a summer set, glitter ponies with crowns and tinsel hair for a prom line. Possibilities are quite endless.
I definitely want them to bring in other types of ponies to this idea of a Cutie Mark Camp, now that I think about it when you mentioned Mer/Seapoinies and Glitter Ponies. Just regular ponies is a little boring after having so many other creatures in the show. What if even more types of ponies came to try and find their Cutie Marks? And I find that the camp idea is probably taking from the CMCs in G4 and I personally can't really argue with how good of an idea it is in-universe to have a camp set up for ponies to earn their Cutie Marks. They could do more if it was a school but I'm also not sure how long they're planning to make this. It might not even be about the modernish campyness as much as it'll be about adventuring elsewhere. In terms of relationship drama, I do like it in some shows but the wide range of MLP fans probably would rather not have things being _too_ dramatic if you know what I mean. But I like your ideas still !
But I Feel like the School concept would be kinda boring too since we Already Got that in Equestria girls and in Later seasons of mlp with the School of friendship I'd like to See a spin-off series of Maybe the crusaders, pinkie pie's kid, the Group of Friends from the friendship School and Other fillies that are Now older Y'know?
Ponies from different generations looks so weird together. Like, they literally have different styles for the curly hair of Pinkie and that blue unicorn. I mean, they could style her main differently, more to Pinkie style.
don’t get why they can’t move on the storyline. use the cutie mark crusaders, flurry heart, mr and mrs cakes twins and pinkies kid maybe even gen 5? instead of reusing the mane 6 and changing their entire story😭
I actually really hate this Having G4 and G5 characters interact is... Fine. But only if the G4 characters are the age they should be. Twilight being reset to a unicorn with no friends, and making friends with Misty, is weird. I don't like it. I know across generations that characters get reset but they usually also get reskinned a little bit so they're more distinct. G6 versions of the characters are consistent with the look and personality of G4 and G5 which I don't like.
I'm with you there. I mean, G4 reset Pinkie Pie from G3 but the art style was very different and so was her personality. This feels more like a strange crossover between G4 and G5 than a new show.
It’s also just really confusing. Like what parts of the lore are staying the same and which parts are changing? It just seems like a very weird au where it’s a completely different world with different lore that just has g4 and g5 ponies pasted in without any changes or explanation. It feels like a child’s crossover fanfic.
I wouldn't mind them reusing the same character if they did it like with previous generations. Redesign them, and make a complete overhaul so they would feel similar, but could work as a complete alternative version of the character. It could work if it was done like that. But keeping it close to Gen 4 and 5 will likely be the show's downfall. And...they really need to hire competent writers if they want the next show to succeed because the writing in Gen 5 was its biggest weakness and likely the reason it ultimately failed.
yeah i was so confused while watching this like "wait but twilight already has her cutie mark why is she here? and everyone seems to be adults, i thought ponies usually got their cutie marks when they were younger? and wait, is twilight missing her wings? wait, she doesn't have friends? what?"
lol is this how g3 fans felt when g4 pinkie pie and rainbow came to the scene roughly ten years ago? I was only 7 when FiM g4 came out and I empathize with those g3 fans I saw as whiny back then. At the end of the day though, Hasbro wants money and the creations from LF and the FiM crew are Hasbro company IP. They wouldn’t take a creative risk like to try and build and honor lore across generations because why should they? They want the safest option and that is to repurpose characters who’ve already shown commercial appeal. I feel the only way they could somewhat salvage this concept (should it go thru) is if they introduce some parallel universe trope and make it cannon that these characters exist on an alt timeline. But it definitely feels weird seeing the massive alicorn we saw twilight become at the end of FiM basically revert to a version that’s even less accomplished than her starting character in FiM lol. It’s jarring but I have hope that whatever they put out is either salvageable or a total flop (like the case of g5, which in that case they’ll just shelve it and try again). Let’s hope the suits at Hasbro get it right this time!
Real, that’s the probleme when doing to many parallele universe with the same characters.. especially when the original character were already well fleshed out and with their own unique story
4:13 I feel as though the pitch video absolutely gets rid of a bunch of original lore and things, like how the main six got their own cutie marks because of Rainbow Dash’s sonic rainboom:/
No, I think it is good to specify which type of magic she is using, since if I were new to the franchise, I may be confused since there are many types of magic in the series, such as cutie mark magic. It is good to specify at the beginning of the show which types of magic do what, so that you don’t get confused as to why Pinkie Pie can’t fix a problem with telekinesis so it is good to establish early on that telekinesis is an ability unique to unicorns. (Changlins, alicorns Discord and Sombra may be able to use telekinesis, but they may not exist in this generation)
This wasn't ever meant for public release. It's meant for clueless execs who are going to be the ones who have to approve and fund this whole show. It's basically just a pitch to executives, or at least that's very much what it feels like to me. I can't imagine it being anything else.
“Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her UNICORN POWERS to raise the sun at dawn…”
I see lots of people complaining and... guys is a pitch y'know? lot's of things going to change on final product if it comes out, like it did with G4 and 5 before, in videogames terms this would be an Alpha, just calm down and wait
Ponyverse could have been amazing if it was like the Spiderverse from the recent animated Spiderman films - where as G4 was fantasy themed, a Ponyverse could have been sci-fi themed with characters jumping between worlds to fight save-the-world battles. Camp Cutie Mark sounds bad, because it limits the plots to low-stakes friendship issues. Many of the best G4 episodes were save-the-world battles, and unless it's some sort of spy-training-camp, that ain't going to happen.
Um, you do realize most of G4’s episodes didn’t have the characters trying to save the world and instead doing more low stake stuff, right? I do agree that stuff like the premiers and finales often have some of the best episodes, due to their fantastical natures most of the time, but for the most part, G4 was a show about characters doing normal things, like going camping, hanging out with family, reuniting with old friends, going to fun events, ect. The fantasy element was just a bonus that really supported the bigger elements of the story, world, and elements.
Most of the actual best episodes were low stakes ones, such as “Luna Eclipsed”, “Sleepless in Ponyville”, “Amending Fences”, “The Perfect Pear” etc. You know, imo.
I really REALLY like the hoof designs, but I’m hoping they pick some other character / make new ones for the main cast as their color palette is really samey. Like 2 blue characters and two pinkish/purple. I’d just like some more verity.
I honestly like the idea of different Gens happening at different locations so the camp setting is a nice change. But I'm already done with the "popular mean girl bully" stereotype. It's *so* overused in media and even if she gets a character arc, that has all been done so many times before. Give us mysteries, a monster at the local lake, ponies disappearing in the woods, the group finding an old shrine or something else that we can't already predict the ending of.
While I do agree that the "mean girl" is overdone, so are the ideas you're suggesting, doubly so for camp stories. To be clear, I don't think that these ideas are bad, just found it a bit funny.
I assume that they may be in this series, but in a different form. No one who grew up watching g1 would have suspected that starlight would be a cult leader. Maybe they don’t exist, maybe they are talking clouds for all I know.
Yeah Gen 4 feels like they buffed out the problems in Gen 3. As someone who grew up with Gen 3 and went back to rewatch the movie I watched repetitively as a kid, gen 3 feels like they tried too hard to make every pony the main character in their own way. Gen 4 just managed to be a hit, it focused on only a certain group of characters instead of focusing on multiple different characters but it still came off as a simple kids show, but perhaps because of it’s popularity amongst adult fans it managed to become a massive hit. MLP has always been about taking characters from the line and recreating them. (Gen 4 Rarity is Gen 3 Rainbow Dash, Gen4 Pinkie Pie is Gen3 Rarity as well as a mix between her gen 3 self too) Hell Twilight Sparkle is based off of Twinkle Twirl in Gen 3 who also had a part in a movie. Applejack has existed as a character since Gen 1 as well as Fluttershy (but Fluttershy had a rename of sorts, her original skin/model is Posey). Idk what came over me but tbh it ultimately is a show that only spawned as a tie in with the toys, but because of Gen 4’s popularity it definitely feels like Hasbro is trying their hardest to make another hit like it and is focusing on MLP being a show/movie series with a toy line. While Gen 3 was a mess looking back at it (as well as other 2000’s and earlier era) I still miss how goofy the tie in movies were because it was cool getting a movie with your toy and you could watch it and point at your character in the movie. I was always jealous my sister got Star dancer, I think I either had Sky wishes or Twinkle Twirl, I think it was Twinkle Twirl because I can sort of remember her having a bit of orange in her mane lol. Sorry for the long reply, just trying to put into words also how a lot of fans forget how Gen 4 was a shot of pure luck with how popular it became, that the earlier generations were probably also just as much of a flop in terms of popularity as Gen 5 ended up becoming.
@@sylvain4298 If Hasbro tried to make something *like* G4, they'd create something new. Recycling names and character designs is fine, but it can't be a 1-to-1 reboot.
It just feels a bit frustrating after G5, because they first introduced it in a continuation of events happening in the same universe as G4, which seemed so cool to me because i like seeing universe expend and being fleshed out nicely. But then the lore wasn’t consistent with G4, which made it really frustrating, at least for me, since i thought that was what they were going for at first. So now having a completely different universe bringing a bunch of ponies from the different shows, it feels a bit confusing and disappointing, in the sense that i would have loved for them to develop the universe more instead of doing a kinda reboot with a different universe. It’s true that taking older popular character and putting them in a new concept isn’t new and it can definitely work, but G4 had a universe that was well built, and it had the potential to be explored even more, which is why i find it a bit frustrating that they may decide to “scrap it” and go with something completely different (yeah, i know its not really scrapping it, G4 still exist on its own, it just feels like that emotionally lol). But also, that’s my perspective as an adult, so, maybe kids dont care that much about universe building and they are obviously trying to grab a younger audience, especially since G5
Ngl I'm mostly excited to see how Chris Chan would react to this. We already saw how Chris called G5 Russian Propaganda, so only God knows how pissed he would be if this is real.
I think the leaks have a very cute artstyle compared to last gen. I kind of wish Hasbro would redesign the main cast slightly. No need to give them a complete overhaul, but for example Pinkie Pie from G3 and G4 designs are the pretty much the same on paper, but are much more distinct from one another in their looks in practice due to shape and minor hue changes. I suppose it's just kind of confusing to see them look so similiar to previous gen versions, which makes it look a lot more like fanart.
I agree totally! And I was thinking of this before. They should redesign the characters a little more, not too much so that they won't be appealing for a random kid who kinda knows the characters from G4 and G5 and might buy some of the toys but wouldn't care for them if they were different or something, but different enough to be, honestly, new for the fans. Maybe they could actually be _much more_ different instead of barely different for other reasons. Especially if the character personalities are different from the previous gens. I don't like that they're throwing away so much of MLP gens tradition after G4 blew up in popularity. G4 took SO MUCH inspiration from the previous gens and it's always been a tradition to have similar things that reference each other, generation from generation on but for them to still be different in many ways*-... However with G5 being actually in the same universe as G4 and G6 here seeming to be much more based on the previous two gens, it seems like the tradition is being forgotten... -*They could take old characters like Sunny Daze and Minty and redesign them, give them new or kinda similar personalities to be main characters of a new gen, but not exclusively bring back characters who _have_ been main characters in the past two gens - In fact, I don't think that they should refresh characters like Twilight and Pinkie Pie for a long, long time since they have soo much cultural significance as G4 Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. If they had a new Pinkie Pie who was any different from the fun-loving crazy always on sugar party pony that is in G4, I'm not sure how well she'll be received. The thing about this demo pilot is that it seems to imply that these characters aren't exactly as different from their previous iterations as much as G3 and G4 Pinkie Pie was, personality-wise is obvious but that in general they basically feel like,,, alternate universe versions of the G4 and G5 ponies we already know.
Honestly, I feel that this Hasbro should take a healthy break from ponies, until they come up with a better idea on what they want to do with them and instead focus primarily on dragons for a change. I would love to see dragon lord Ember and smolder again, as main characters along with Spike, who has grown from a whelp into a young drake and to see him and Ember together, as a close mated couple. 🐉
nah I hate the idea that the kids growing up on this will mention twilight sparkle and be referring to this instead of G4, as in, with G3 characters moving to G4 they were very clearly different characters, but with this it's quite literally that character with their parents looking the same and they seem to be the same, but just with all their character arcs being reset in a weird way.... G4 had a whole new twist on many of the pre-existing characters which I'm ok with the clear cut change in generation, this feels like it's giving the weird G3.5 spinoff baby thing... just not for babies I'll give it a watch and judge after, but it's not looking particularly good.
If you ever do another deep dive video into one of the mlp horror grimdark stories, I’d be very interested in one on silent Ponyville, I recently listened to some readings of the first two and skimmed through bits of the others and it seems really really interesting

i love mlp so much and have missed g4, while g5 has also grown on me. i really hope that they continue with something similar to camp cutie mark or ponyverse, really anything at all would be wonderful. i would be so incredibly happy for a "g6", a new pony show for fun memories and something to look forward to, as well as the posibility for better merch. i truly hope that hasbro does something fun and keeps brainstorming some good ideas for the community. ♡ i am excited to see what happens next!
With the tone of the material, it feels way closer to what we'd get from an interactive game. Maybe something online that people can log into and play.

Look, the artsyle is pretty nice, but the voice lines that have been written so far, the concept of the childhood bully and the camp where lifelong friend is made, is just. Already done. Many times. I've seen the concept before and I don't see how they can can make it unique (and didn't they already do a simillar thing in Camp Everfree?). A part from bringing MLP characters to the camp friendship concept this just seems like a half-hearted attempt at bringing back old characters. Especially compared to the comics, where they even gave Zecora her own team and gave us the opportunity to discover where she came from. Reminding us that there is plenty of material from the FiM universe that could be developed into new and interesting stories. Plus there is already a new friendship group that was formed at the end of FiM. The mixed species friend group, which I thought was a truly new concept, clashing cultures learning to accept eachother. It could have made for a batch of excellent new life lessons about acceptance despite difference, that haven't been completely covered in FiM, which is saying something. So I hope that going forward Hasbro learns from the mistakes of other animated re-boots as well as their own. And makes something that has atleast an ounce of a new idea. - and to anyone who read this full rant, thank you :)
As an aside, I also hope Hasbro stop acting like everyone has forgotten about FiM and keep trying to force them into storylines that don't fit them. Kids still watch FiM, its still a popular show and if they aired it more, than then ut would be evident that the majority of kids would still watch it and still love it. And they could still make money from merch of it (which they are already so they know it works).
Honestly i hope that the cast being split isn't the intended idea and that it's just to give a general idea of the concept before making the actual main characters similar to what happened with g5 and the main 6 having their species swapped before the actual main characters were revealed. I do think the idea for g6 could be good, just with a bit of tweaking to improve it a bit.
LOVE the consept of this show, but i hate that it would follow 4 already existing ponys, one of wich is from a WHOLE other time period, i just dont like the idea of fusing g 4 and 5, but what bothers me the most is pinkie rainbow and twilight ar pretty much the same from there show, its like they decided oop yeah erase the story on how important there cutiemarks and fraindship it make a new show with them. Id be nice if the set up a whole new cast and set it after the events of g5. Idk thats just my opinon
This def isn’t a good idea, it would be best to start from scratch at this point. I would love to see complete redesigns of the ponies we’ve known for years, similar to how G4 redesigned them, but also just having a new cast of main characters to keep it fresh still. It would be harder to make an entirely different story than the previous gens, but I feel that it’s very much needed. G5’s story was such a flop, I feel that if they didn’t restrain themselves to the world of G4 then it could’ve been better.
It feels like Lego Friends met Royale High, in terms of vibes. I actually like it! I do hope we see some of the other Mane 6 characters from Gens 4 and 5, like Fluttershy.
There is a difference between bringing characters back, changed for a new universe and milking existing characters for a new show. The designs? Basically identical to G4 and G5. This isn't just reusing a character and giving it a new spin or anything like it. This is Hasbro milking G4 until it is as dead as Star Wars. They milked G4 for G5 as well and ruined G4 retroactively, so I am not expecting Hasbro to show any respect to G4.
That would have been cool if they went off on the like mirror portal concept and like made inter-dimensional mirrors for the characters to interact with one another.
i think it would be best for just a whole new g6 with g4 characters redesigned like how g1 twilight had white hair, so its fresh and new but familiar in a way, in my opinion at least
Does this come across to anyone else like a game pitch?? I mean, twilight narratint to the viewer, "what are *you* waiting for? Come join us," this all feels like an rpg style game pitch, or something else like that one mlp mobile game where you build ponyville. I cant think of anywhere else they've had a pony narrating directly to the audience blues clues style
I am the only one who thinks the Bullies looks like a mix between the Dazzling, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon? There are 3 of them like the Dazzling and harm their comrades like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon at the start of the series.
I love the art style. Its cute and the hooves are so adorable! However, I dislike misty i dont get why she was even added, secondly i don't get why they didnt create new ponies. Twilights original friend group feels irreplaceable. Her making new friends when she already has a back story as to how she made her friends just wouldnt be the same, they need new characters. making the OG counselors, or even making skootaloo and her friends counslers would be way better. All i know is that we need new ponies. Make the G6 an existing kingdom so they get cameos, but focus more on a new world of ponies
this sounds like a cute idea to mix characters from different gens, but I think if they're gonna reuse characters, they should give them a new design so people can differentiate the generations a little easier. I also LOVE the hoof design! I hope that's kept for a new gen!
Hasbro is really doing the “don’t call the next edition/generation what it really is for fear of losing fans” challenge with MLP and D&D MLP gen 4.1? D&D 2024 edition?
I will,be genuinely devastated if they completely get rid of applejack, fluttershy, and rarity
same i absolutely love fluttershy and rarity theyre my favorite of the 6 :(
Exactly!! Applejack always gets shafted and ignored but she is a great pony.

The new leak actually does look cute. But it just feels a little sad because they cut half of the cast from both generations lol
Yeah it is cute, somehow I'm not sad that they cut the other main ponies out though. I guess I have my reasons and thought process
@@eglol to be fair we got the best and most popular ones
Well we cpuld see them enter the camp at a later date. Also make AJ a pony they find in the wild lol lie tarzan XD
Flurry Heart, Trixie and Starlight Glimmer, Sunset Shimmer, Diamond Tiara and Silverspoon, Thorax, just to name a few.
they could’ve had the CMC be the leaders of the camp and a lot of new ponys being the fillys trying to get the cutiemark
WHY IS HASBRO SO CAUGHT UP ON PROFITING UGHHHH I know companies gotta make money but WHYY
Honestly if anything, camp cutiemark sounds like a crossover fan fiction made on something like Wattpad.

Completely agree. I understand people want to give it a chance, but giving everything a chance is how we’ve ended up with sub-par media for the last 5 years.
Exactly, I hope this is fake 😭
That was basically Equestria Girls tbh
Hey, remember how ten years ago there were leaks spiralling about what G5 would be like, and those used redesigns of the G4 characters, but those eventually got replaced with the new cast? It's quite possible that this reboot concept is only using the G4 and G5 characters as placeholders to figure out the general plot and design direction before making the actual new cast.
I hope so. I hope they don't reuse old character and make new ones but will be better than g5
10 years ago???????? Like 4
@@caidwab Not the show itself, the leaks from forever ago. You know, when it was rumoured that Applejack would be voiced by a black woman in G5 and everyone lost their minds because it was peak "own the SJWs with facts and logic" era?
ironically it kinda feels like as-is misty replaced fluttershy (anxious, shy), pip replaced rarity (likes fancy stuff, a little egotistical), and sunny replaced AJ (considering they wanted to change AJ anyway and both are orange earth ponies)... so if they replace all of them, isn't it just going to feel like g4 recolours anyway?? why bother with the g5s as placeholders?? wack
@@GCatlordMaybe some writing storyline for those never released offers something they're interested in.
I honestly forgot how to say her name the minute this video was over
Real.
Why does the mean one look like me
What is hasbro trying to say about me
my thoughts exactly though diamond tiara always seemed generic to me too being pink and having the spoiled rich girl personality. she was created in 2010 though when that type of character wasn’t too cliché yet. having a character like that in 2025 is just.. really?
The word on the street is that this concept was canceled. Whatever G6 ends up being, this won't be it.
It's a cute idea tho
During the video he said camp cuty mark might be in development again since hasbro has been making people delete post about it
The thing that was cancelled is a different project that brought G1, G4 and G5 together is what I heard. It was called "Ponyverse", but this is something different called Camp Cutie Mark.
I really hope so because this looks like a disaster
Fr
Why not focus on other ponies? The producers already finished with Twilight and friends, why not flurry heart? Or Luster Dawn?
Would love to see Luster Dawn lore and character development! G4's main 6/7 was tied up so well, I don't know why they're trying to unravel that.
Since Equestria got messed up during Twilight’s reign, something bad happened to Luster and her friends. I fear for the Young Six as well. Seeing Spike alone with four other dragons tells me something bad happened to Smolder and Dragon Lord Ember…
Bc they dont care about creative risks. But yes, a flurry heart driven series would be perfect :/
Personally I’d love to see a new show featuring Wind Whistler from G1, she was always my favorite as a kid
Honestly that's who I thought Desiree was (Luster Dawn) until it was stated ofc
i really feel like this is more aimed at really young children this time
Same, but it's still quite charming.
MLP was always targeted to children, but G4 definitely did lean into the Brony demographic a lot. But yeah, I totally get what you mean.
I mean G5 was aimed at toddlers as well…
ngl i felt more entertained watching this "g6 leak" than anything from g5 lol
Definitely. Kinda hated this. Actually, no, I really hated this.
No. I swear this looks like one of those side books for kids under 5 to make a random mitch match and a random story that has nothing to do with the original show.
Yeppp. Described it perfectly.
My main criticisms of this concept:
- summer camp forces them to work with only a limited time and opens up chances for time inconsistencies later on
- it sucks that 3/4 of them are G4 characters. I don't mind Misty; I like her. And I don't mind some of the G4 cast being there... But to make most of them that? Idk
That could be a plot Will we still be Friends after camp ends, I see that being the conflict as summer ends,
I'd love to have the othrs show p...if they do this like een if sunny was visiting as a princess or something. or from another timetravel thing.
Fair. I expected AJ to get cut because she is the last marketable, but I was shocked to not see Fluttershy. They mischaracterized Misty to make her the stand-in Fluttershy. I'm guessing Pipp is going to be our Rarity, and Sunny is our AJ.
Naur this generation will be a complete rage for those trying to make a timeline 💀 (Aside from like diff timelines or stuff)
U don't like G4? 🤨 G4 is friendship is magic... Twi, AJ, pinkie, Dash rarity, shy.... G5 is misty and others
It kinda feels weird to put the any of the mane 6 in a young teenager position. In friendship is Magic, they've always been independent adults from the very begining
also, don’t they get their cute marks when they’re way younger? like the crusaders were no older than like elementary school
They've already been put into the role of teenagers, with Equestria Girls, they were high-schoolers, ergo 15-18yo
@@3173_Delta Yes, but I talking about the main established universe where we see them as adults
this camp cutiemark thing, the trailer, the style, the way they talk....it feels like a intro to a point and click game ;-;
this is nowhere near the finished product though this is just like their rough draft to get their ideas together
Definitely still unfinished if its real
Definitely. Lmao😭
Camp cutie mark could actually make a good game. The camp layout would make a good “overworld” and there could be a bunch of mini games that you could play as either an earth pony, Pegasus, or unicorn to do different games.
The whole thing does feel like the opening to a kids adventure game tbh
@@TheWildCard that was my thought almost instantly. But even playing the same level but you can’t reach areas until you play it again as one of the other ponies (something in the air only a Pegasus could get, maybe kicking down some crates only an earth pony could do, and a spell only a unicorn could do)
It sounds a lot more like a video game the way Twilight talk to the audiences and asked us to join in kinda like a old adventure game with how it went
That is also a working theory about it
So something more like Blues Clues and Dora?
I hate this mainly because it
CONTINUES to disregard the previous lore set.
Hopefully in the comics or something lol
yeah. all these characters already had their cutie marks, it doesn't make much sense to me. plus i for one really prefer alicorn twilight over unicorn twilight. idk why i just do
Exactly! It just feels…weird. And wrong.
Give me an ancient Equestria series with Starswirl and Celestia and luna. Not the skyros bs.
THIS!!
I fr hated this storyboard and still do. They better keep this "concept" buried to the Earth's core. It ruins the show for G6 ENTIRELY.
PREACH!!!!!
I would like to see this too
It’s a children’s show; they will prioritise kiddy stuff
I commend you for having the courage to upload the entire leak in its entirety. Hi Hasbro! I know you're watching this.
It looks adorable but like, why did they completely erase Fluttershy, Rarity, and AJ???
Apparently they picked the "most marketable" characters
Probably wanted to pick one unicorn, pegasus and earth pony from each generation. Twilight is more popular than Rarity, Rainbow is more popular than Fluttershy and Pinky is more popular than AJ (no accounting for taste). Also they’d previously said they wanted to axe AJ because “cowboy is not a personality”.
@@cathygrandstaff1957cowboy is a personality smh
I DONT HEAR TARA STRONG.
IKR I LOVED THE ORIGINAL VOICE CAST I SWEAR IF THEY REPLACE ASHLEY BALL ANDREA AND TARA I WILL BOYCOTT THE SHOW REALLY HARD
It’s a pitch. They probably don’t want to pay a massively popular voice actor to just do a pitch.
She sucks
There's another instance of a different voice actor for Twilight. It's the MLP color game, i forgot the name, where they used Tabitha S. Germain as Twilight Sparkle
So what? Everyone can't be like the OG voice cast.

The artstyle is so precious. One thing that made me feel weird though was the inclusion of their parents. It makes them seem way younger and less independent.
I genuinely can’t tell if they’re fillies or teens
I would say right in the middle, They’re definitely not adults like the originals which is whats throwing me off
Honestly, kinda hate the art style. It’s fine to have your own opinions, but to me it feels extremely tacky and glittery. Maybe’s thats just me, 🤷♀️.
This is just Kamp Koral all over again 😒
@@KatieandTyleryeah!! attention to detail like that is amazing
@lpstigerlily8506 there selling gen 5 toys for less than 10 dollars almost everywhere(near me at least) its so unpopular that u can find it in over stocked/ dead stocked stores overflowing sad actually but gen 5 was the worse (gen 2 didn't have a show) gen in terms of show and maybe tie with worse gen in toys with gen 3.5 and 4.5
I like the Camp Cutiemark concept. But I wish they would use new characters or chamge the design & personality of the old characters more.
im really upset that twilight has new friends/a new group. it doesnt feel right. and mistys the new fluttershy? probably because fluttershy was (at least I think she was) one of is not her best friends out of the group.
This whole thing screams that they cant let go of G4 but are unable to expand upon it so they're resetting everything to do some camp coral spin-off series and they cut half of the characters from each show
it looks like a fan AU, what do you mean twilight didn’t know who pinkie pie was?? 😭
that’s how generations go, they reuse the names and design elements (or entire designs) of characters but change the characters themselves. think of this as like an alternate universe! :D

Its giving spongebob spin off
I really like the concept but I think a school setting would make more sense then a camp.
This is great, they may not stick with the camp concept. Time will tell.
But I Feel like the School concept would be kinda boring too since we Already Got that in Equestria girls and in Later seasons of mlp with the School of friendship
I'd like to See a spin-off series of Maybe the crusaders, pinkie pie's kid, the Group of Friends from the friendship School and Other fillies that are Now older Y'know?

Ponies from different generations looks so weird together. Like, they literally have different styles for the curly hair of Pinkie and that blue unicorn. I mean, they could style her main differently, more to Pinkie style.
Misty is supposed to have a black hairstyle I believe
@@legoware gen 4 manes are actually manes while gen 5 looks more human like that's why
don’t get why they can’t move on the storyline. use the cutie mark crusaders, flurry heart, mr and mrs cakes twins and pinkies kid maybe even gen 5? instead of reusing the mane 6 and changing their entire story😭
I actually really hate this
Having G4 and G5 characters interact is...
Why dont they just have new characters? This feels very fanficty
i dont think i like this
This feels like a fanfiction ^^'

Real, that’s the probleme when doing to many parallele universe with the same characters.. especially when the original character were already well fleshed out and with their own unique story
Holy hell a real mlp RUclipsr in the year 2024, instant sub
The timing of this video.. 😭 tell your tale was just canceled
Why are they adult blank flanks 💔
Theyre severly autistic 💔
4:13 I feel as though the pitch video absolutely gets rid of a bunch of original lore and things, like how the main six got their own cutie marks because of Rainbow Dash’s sonic rainboom:/
I don’t understand why they kept feeling the need to say ‘unicorn magic’, like just say magic. We’re not stupid, we know what you mean 😭
It's a G5 thing
Ooor…they could just stop ruining my little pony? I beg please ? 😭
This feels more like a fan comic than an official new series
I see lots of people complaining and... guys is a pitch y'know? lot's of things going to change on final product if it comes out, like it did with G4 and 5 before, in videogames terms this would be an Alpha, just calm down and wait
this feels like a 2006 flash game lol
My story animated ahh video
Ponyverse could have been amazing if it was like the Spiderverse from the recent animated Spiderman films - where as G4 was fantasy themed, a Ponyverse could have been sci-fi themed with characters jumping between worlds to fight save-the-world battles.
Camp Cutie Mark sounds bad, because it limits the plots to low-stakes friendship issues. Many of the best G4 episodes were save-the-world battles, and unless it's some sort of spy-training-camp, that ain't going to happen.
That's more of a personal reason, but I respect it regardless.
I’m so miffed because they’re axing the exact trio of ponies of each generation that I like the best.
3:07 But Friendship is Magic came out in 2010 so it would actually be 16…
it would have been announced on the 15th anniversary, allegedly.
@@TheWildCard Gotcha.
Wonder where Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity are
I assume that they may be in this series, but in a different form. No one who grew up watching g1 would have suspected that starlight would be a cult leader. Maybe they don’t exist, maybe they are talking clouds for all I know.
They know they fucked up, and they are trying to sort it out in a stupid way.
The only sane brony to ever exist
As a brony myself... I don’t know if I should agree or disagree!
This is relative according to what you define as "sane" tho 😅
@@THS_Station as long as you swear to never remake the jar incident, the council may still review your curriculum vitae.
@@Thibou_le_Hibou Why the heck did you have to remind me of the jar...
Some Bronies say, "They can't take the characters from the last gen and make a new show," despite G4 being exactly that
Exactly
It's not the same. Everything about them was different. G4 was something new, even though they reused old names. This ain't new.
@@PeacePetal except they did try that and the fans didn't like it.
Omg I forgot he was a brony. I kinda blocked that out lol
*she
Isn’t Chris chan in jail or something?
Wait, is this the mrbeast Chris? I didn't know he was a brony.
edit: no, it's someone else

Sooo it’s just Kamp Koral with SpongeBob. Omg they’re just pulling a paramount LMFAO
It's been cancelled now
I think the leaks have a very cute artstyle compared to last gen.
I'm waiting for official hasbro sstatement, it's so easy to edit and make things look official.
This would be a cool concept if it was NEW characters
nah I hate the idea that the kids growing up on this will mention twilight sparkle and be referring to this instead of G4, as in, with G3 characters moving to G4 they were very clearly different characters, but with this it's quite literally that character with their parents looking the same and they seem to be the same, but just with all their character arcs being reset in a weird way.... G4 had a whole new twist on many of the pre-existing characters which I'm ok with the clear cut change in generation, this feels like it's giving the weird G3.5 spinoff baby thing... just not for babies
I'll give it a watch and judge after, but it's not looking particularly good.
If you ever do another deep dive video into one of the mlp horror grimdark stories, I’d be very interested in one on silent Ponyville, I recently listened to some readings of the first two and skimmed through bits of the others and it seems really really interesting
I started reading the first one, I’m deciding whether to cover silent Ponyville or Something Sweet to Bite
@@TheWildCard something sweet to bite would be interesting too, silent Ponyville might fit more time wise cuz of the silent hill 2 remake though
Good point
@@TheWildCard both would definitely be fun to watch though either way!
Also good job on the Equestria Girls Movies videos so far, excited for the fourth one of that aswell
1:04 this screenshot looks like a reference of the characters in the style of drawing from the beginning of the full-length film on the next generation
i love mlp so much and have missed g4, while g5 has also grown on me. i really hope that they continue with something similar to camp cutie mark or ponyverse, really anything at all would be wonderful. i would be so incredibly happy for a "g6", a new pony show for fun memories and something to look forward to, as well as the posibility for better merch. i truly hope that hasbro does something fun and keeps brainstorming some good ideas for the community. ♡ i am excited to see what happens next!
Sorry for the reupload, didn't realize I scheduled it to go live at 2:00AM lol

I am not going too watch this
this made me want to dye so much END ME 💀💀💀💀
saying it would be good, is like saying Ugly sonic should continue to exist 🤡🤡 wtf
I am so pissed now this is bulshit I hate he explained because this is all bulshit I swear if I see you and you don't like it if I going to do👿
With the tone of the material, it feels way closer to what we'd get from an interactive game. Maybe something online that people can log into and play.
Aww. They could have added Hitch into the group. Having a guy meant a lot to me
This definetly isnt a series Im interested in watching- though I'll probably check in to see the music from the show/series because I don't wanna miss out on any potential bangers 👏👏👏
Edit: Commented literally RIGHT BEFORE you mentioned the project got scrapped 😅 This is why you gotta watch to the end before commenting everyone 👀
Where is my apple jack? Where is my fluttershy?
I'm conflicted and excited at this news. Please let it be good 😭
I don't think I can stomach a Camp Coral situation.
0:58 THEY CUT FLUTTERSHY!?!?!I mean, I get cutting Applejack and Rarity, but, FLUTTERSHY???
Misty has a similar role and personality, so it would seem redundant to have them both in the main cast.
The concept is cute! Just… why use Gen4 ponies? It’d be great to see new characters…
Let's hope this mlp g6 is real, not fake in the future
DUDE THEY CAN'T LEAVE OUT FLUTTERSHY, SHES TOO ICONIC
I swear, getting cutie marks is becoming more and more like puberty as time goes on 😂
Hasbro is really doing the “don’t call the next edition/generation what it really is for fear of losing fans” challenge with MLP and D&D
MLP gen 4.1? D&D 2024 edition?
Reminds me of the chibi anime with all the isekai protaganists
