  • Argentina's President Cuts 15,000 Government Jobs | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Argentina has cut 15,000 state jobs as part of Argentine President Javier Milei’s campaign to slash spending. It is an effort to shrink government expenditure and reduce the national deficit to zero. The cuts are part of his broader strategy to achieve fiscal balance at any cost. Milei campaigned for president while brandishing a chainsaw, promising to fix Argentina’s long-troubled economy by chopping down the size of the state. Argentina’s trade unions pledged a mass general strike with fired workers vowing to keep showing up at their offices. But Milei is treading a fine line as mass layoffs could trigger social unrest. Palki Sharma tells you more.

I am satisfied at the cost effectiveness of their prices. A few banks might face privatization in next 10 years. We will add more profit seeking businesses. Although I can't deny that the services provided by Private sector banks such as HDFC, Axis and ICICI are of good quality but we don't know for how long. Currently most of the people seeking Public sector jobs are there for Job Security unlike private sector. Government positions should undergo periodic evaluation, and if deemed necessary, adjustments should be made to enhance overall government efficiency. It is essential for public servants to fulfill their responsibilities diligently, irrespective of concerns about job security. When individuals secure government employment and fail to actively contribute or perform their duties, it can be seen as a misuse of taxpayer funds, which have been diligently earned by citizens.
