Several world leaders including Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and Maldives' President Mohamed Muizzu, among others, also attended PM Modi's oath taking ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Earlier in the day, PM Modi also paid homage to India's fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial and paid his respects to Mahatma Gandhi and former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Hmmmm…American here and follower of First Post. Love the reporting! Buuttt…my gut is telling me Palki is comprised. I feel like she’s speaking for the government. It’s like she is on the cultural pay role.

There is no "cultural pay roll". This government has its flaws but as a non political person, let me tell you- these past two NDA governments are the only ones where I've felt for the first time in my life that they're actually doing something for India, like there is some leadership at the helm. That's why even some neutral journalists can't help but lean in the direction of praising the said government. It's unrealistic to expect the media to be blindly critical of someone regardless of how good a job they're doing. That's as bad as being a blind supporter.
Also Palki's bias is towards India, no matter who rules. She strongly condemns outside voices that criticize Indian systems and leaders, criticizes hypocrisy. Even if it were a Congress led government in place of NDA, I feel like Palki would be more or less singing their praise.
