- Yukon River Sled Dogs heading the last 12 miles to the village of Tanana. It's the third day they have run and still lots of spirit. Just a real short video done in Slo-Mo mode on a nice day with the sun coming back more each day.

On the third year of a canoe expedition from York Factory MB on Hudson Bay, to Emmonak, AK on the Bering Sea, I have been searching out places along our route and find your videos a great look into life along the Yukon River. Two old guys will be passing by your camp +/- Aug. 9th this year hoping to stop for a chat.
Make sure you stop. I'm on the north side just down river from the "Rapids" 1/2 mile.
SALUDOS DESDE HONDURAS STAN
Good view hows the People of Tanana can we see some of thm sometime? Beautiful Team
I’m born and raised in Boston. I’m pretty sure I can tell from your accent you lived there too. I always wanted to visit Alaska so bad.

Yay Stan and dogs
hi I'm new to the channel god bless
You Sir, occupy a prominent place in my pantheon of heroes. ATB /Jase
Stan, I love your videos. You’re an inspiration to us armchair Alaskans. (Please stop with the vertical videos.)
It was an Iphone and didn't know how to use it.

Stan, is that " Crazy " in the back left? Looks like some deep snow this year. Hope yer trapline is keeping you and the dogs busy. ☮️ wheelchair John in Idaho 😎
Yes that is. He is still on a special chain set up and goes round and round all day. Was running him in lead some but wanted to back off on that pressure position and run in the wheel (last) for awhile.
Mush.
Just sitting here watching Yukon Men: Roughing It and wondering if Jessi & Chris Morse ever made it living out there off grid ?
Chris used to live out there off grid with his parents. Grew up out there. They still go out there since the show ended and live off grid when there. Live in Fairbanks also.
Hey Stan, hope your family and your area well. Always wondered. Do people ice fish in your areas? If so do you or Joe? We enjoy our Ice Fishing here in Michigan. God's blessings to you buddy.
Once in a while some ice fishing but not usual as ice gets real thick and so easy to get fish in summer/fall.
You need to uppload more freakvent, and promote you'r channel some more stan. I Love watching these videos, afther the series got taken down, by overreacting people.... It like the only place we can have some contact with you and you'r city.
I will try.
@@mikasookey? Are you "stan" sir? i think he can talk for himself.. I dont know why you commented on this at all.
@@stanzuray Thank's a bunch, i would love 2 see more, best wishes from Norway!
👍🏻
Dear Stan
Is it today still possible to do the same as you? I am in the same position as you were in Boston. I admire you and the way you live.
Love and Greetings from Switzerland
Yes it is still possible but remember I ate my sled dogs the first year.
@@stanzuray damn, thats harsh... I wondered if you were the born hunter or how you survived there. I am watching season 3 on yukon men, I am really worried about that road...
@@stanzuray I need to go, but I have no money and nothing to sell... I always try to treat everyone and everything with love and respect, but the way of heart brings you nothing but trouble in switzerland...
I am worried that I am dead before I get the chance to find myself. I want to be in touch with (my) nature, I want to feel life and all that I can see is concrete and obligations. but I keep trying to find my place in this world.
You are an inspiration! Thank you
I was born in the inner city of Boston. Never hunted anything but cars etc.
I have often said that when you feel like giving up hope and ending things, you need to first give ending things you're doing a try. If that means heading out with a pack on your back and your thumb out so be it.
Any Corona fears in you area? Thanks for your time in advance.
We just cancelled our spring dog race carnival. It's the same here as in the lower 48 states.
When's Yukon Men coming back on ???
Most likely never but our new film project is underway.

@@stanzuray really really miss the show, definitely one of my favorites !
Stan, how are you guys making out with the virus up in tanana? You all staying safe?
It is very much like everywhere else as to things shutting down but we have no confirmed cases yet and may not in reality. My life has changed little as I do work that must continue each day.
Which dogs work the hardest the line? those closest to the sled? I know your lead dog is supposed to be smart and confident. What are the attributes of the others?
First it is not unusual to have your best dog work twice as much as the ones lowest on the totem pole. That said my hardest pulling dogs are usually in lead or just behind lead. That vigor up by the front gives energy to the team. Next I need almost equally tough pullers in the wheel as they get thrown around and are responsible for giving the sled direction on curves and powering the sled back on the trail. My weakest physically or laziest dogs are usually just rear of the middle of the team. It's just like running a company and having a bunch of workers. Not all are the same and you work with the weaknesses constantly.
What's a good all around caliber for big game in Alaska. Thanks in advance.
30-06 is very popular on the low end and 338 win mag a popular backup rifle for guides on the top end
Heads up Stan. Very good possibility, events in Virginia on Monday, will get out of control. If it does, Trump will likely declare State Of Emergency for the U.S.. Stay safe!
hello there how do you get hardware, fuel, cement ,cars etc to tanana
ship into village by plane or truck on road when it's open or buy it on Amazon and it'll show up by mail or UPS.
Love your videos thank you from New Zealand ♡
