      @@bob-carnatu-sef I haven't cooked on it Camil, so hopefully Frederick can comment back, but i've seen it in person and it's a fantastic size for the backyard for 2-3 pizzas at a time.

      @@bob-carnatu-sef and Hi Camil, apologies for the late response, I've owned/cooked in several different Wood Ovens and would buy the Allegro again tomorrow! It heats up extremely quickly and has been very easy for me maintain temp range from 225f to 900f. My family loves to cook in the oven every weekend and we've cooked everything from BBQ Pork Ribs to Lasagna,, Shepherds Pie, Cookies, Pies, Burgers, Steaks and of course every different style of pizza that we can think of. We're making some Chicago Deep Dish Pizzas tomorrow, the weather is calling for snow but the Allegro performs just fine! I've posted pics and video of most of the cooks that i've done in the Allegro in Alfa's Facebook Page if you want to check it out facebook.com/groups/ALFAOvensNorthAmerica

      @@arthurford829 Hi Arthur, my experience with the oven has been just fantastic (see above response to Camil). The Allegro is a gorgeous oven to look at and its build-quality and performance are 2nd none. I'm amazed at how much interest the oven draws with my friends, family and neighbors, we are baking some Chicago Deep Dish pizzas in the Allegro tomorrow and Sausage/Pepper & Onion Sandwiches on Sunday. I'll post these cooks in Alfa's Facebook Community if you are interested in having a look! facebook.com/groups/ALFAOvensNorthAmerica

    Nice interview! We agree that the Alfa Allegro is a super oven. Lots of our customers choose the Alfa brand because they are well built Italian ovens that heat quickly and cook evenly!

      Thanks Stan! I went back and added the playlist to the video description. We have another one coming out today, and it's a new pellet grill that haven't been released yet. It's a cool one.

    how would this handle a rainy environment like Seattle? without any roof ?

    • @TheBarbecueLab
      @TheBarbecueLab  3 года назад

      Most of these units I’ve seen installed operate without a roof, probably due to the heat put out the stack while cooking using such high heat. I’ve seen some operating in the rain as well, and it doesn’t seem to phase them. I don’t have personal experience though, so maybe someone who owns one can chime in.

    Any thoughts or recommendations between this oven or a Clementi oven?

    • @TheBarbecueLab

      I haven’t seen a Clementi oven firsthand, so I can’t really weigh in on this one. If we ever get our hands on one in the future though, you know we’ll put a full review together for you.

    Whatis Michaels contact? I believe some of the retailers are still selling the older version with smaller opening and different door, I can’t find a retailer with the latest.

      I believe you can reach the Alfa team through the contact form on their website. Just tel them you watched the video and wanted to find this unit and I’m sure they can help you. All the best!

    I have one of these and it has two major problems: It does not hold its' heat, fire it for pizza (550-700) and them move the coals, you will only get to cook about 4 pizzas before you need to re-fire it. And the bottom of the oven warps during firing which breaks the front 2 fire stones. I made the mistake of thinking that the stones were defective and moved the broken ones to the back and the front two rebroke very next use - no point in buying new ones as they will break too.

      which one do you have? I'm sure this is a warranty issue. Also, losing heat even after 1 pizza is normal? You have to expect the thickness of the toppings and the dough to really determine how much heat is sucked right out of the floor. That's the beauty of cooking with wood. You fire in the middle, let it pre heat for 45+ minutes, shove everything to the side, throw a small log on the side to keep the flames roaring, and cook your pizza then rinse and repeat. I think you're point about the cracks are interesting though and I'd love to know more about which model you had and how they handled it. Thanks!

    Hmmmm so alpha or fortana???? that is the question. I have a fortana dealer clearing some floor models so I can get one for just a little more than the alpha, still the alpha looks like an attractive product???? which way to go

      Great question! I haven't been able to get hands on with a Fontana to cook with one, but I know the Alfa line quite well. So, all I can really speak to is the Alfa Ovens product, and we're very happy with the 4 Pizze that we have been using on the patio for the last year. If you haven't seen that video on that unit yet, here's a link for you: ruclips.net/video/hsQ4aEURN8U/видео.html

    That stand is not the correct height, you’ll have a sore back by the time you’re finished, it should be around elbow height.

    Not sure I’d believe one source of information... stainless steel ovens are notoriously bad for having uneven heat and taking a TON of wood to keep temp in addition to a few other comments you made I disagree ... I’ll take my traditional Terraforno oven any day, it holds heat for 24 hours.
