"This is really engaging television right now" Brother we come to watch you play vintage like people watch the chess world championship. We're locked in. We're invested. These tight critical moments are why we came here.
round 3 when you chose not to po bc it makes you have to play all the things through thorn again, I had a sudden realization that you could just discard everything to the frog after po, and I think I love the twisted madman energy of that line
My favorite part of the video is when the Psychic Frog comes to life and projects "It's froggin time" directly into my brain. All hail the psychic frog.
A few weeks back, I talked about Bauble being Restricted and was laughed at by the community in my area for being way off base. R1G2 showed exactly why it was problematic. The way is shuts down the opponent on the draw is ridiculous. It filled the void that Chalice left at 4 of. It was essentially the same effect with upside (being able to draw) with the (minor) drawback of being able to Force under Chalice. Saga was one a few months ago I asked if you thought it should be Restricted, and you and I both agreed it was fine as it was, but the card has gotten even better as the months have gone.
That entire first game was interesting. OP on play and they get to dump their hand. Bosh's Bauble in hand doesn't stop it, so he plays a Saga and pretty easily kills the opponent solely off of repeated activations. M1G2 was, like you said, a perfect example of the play-draw problems with the card. I don't play Vintage and only infrequently watch it and felt these restrictions were decently fair.
Cool to find out about the restriction on Saga from the comments. I dont play much but boy does Saga seem like the most powerful thing of all time. That's hyperbole, but it really is close to a must play.
2nd game of round 1 was possibly the best luck I've ever seen for the opponent. His opening hand of 7 cards was Chancellor, Karakas, Chrome Mox, Card to Imprint, Black Lotus, Vexing Bauble and Archon lockpiece to cast with it. Then he drew Wasteland. Holy s--t.
Am I correct in saying that Top only draws a card off PO if it's still on the battlefield when PO resolves, so tapping it in response to PO is just a waste?
I didn't fully understand why the deck was playing balance, I thought that card was pretty out of vintage now. But man, that last game was one hell of a showcase.
Because it’s the most fragile mana source that is the most affected by every card every opponent will bring in against you. You don’t HAVE to do anything, you’ll just win more if you’re able to take bad cards out of your deck for game 2.
there was a line to balance in game 1 of round 1! saga tutor lotus, float a mana, lurrus to hand tapping crypt, float off academy, crack lotus floating black, dt for balance, crack bauble off academy mana, cast lotus off lurrus, and you can cast it that turn. i don’t know if the line is even good at that point, but it existed
wow every noun in that paragraph is like a war crime against game balance. i mean if someone asked bosh to explain what "do vintage things" means he could do worse than to just quote you.
What an incredibly well timed 4x Saga deck in Vintage.
Multiple Baubles, too
hahahaha so true
Literally the first opening hand of the video is doubly illegal
Yeah its over now

I mean, yes, but also for the crazy villain laughter at times.
The Saga restriction is perfect, now there are three open slots for colored sources in this deck!
Every time Bosh plays Vintage I learn to win in Vintage "do Vintage things when the opponent isn't"
"Take any deck and add 2 lands to it"
Perfect, eternal advice
Oh boy a vintage video on an artifact deck I sure hope nothing in this format get restricted in the ban announcement

This is the last time we can see Bosh playing with 4 Urza's Saga on Vintage 😢
Not true! I already recorded another 4 Saga, 4 Bauble deck for later this week "to avoid the ban update" looollll
The fact that "Para-Frog-xical" didn't make it into the title or as a joke during this video through at least Round 2 is a crime.
Babe, wake up. New Bosh Vintage video
Oh, that final game was such a lovely classic dumpstering. ❤
A few weeks back, I talked about Bauble being Restricted and was laughed at by the community in my area for being way off base. R1G2 showed exactly why it was problematic. More vintage videos! 😊

Is there some reason to block Patchy instead of the construct match 3 game 1?
Paradoxical Frog. Gotta love it
We're frog as frick boi! Wait... We're vault as tapped boi? That's not right...
Point is we stay winning in Vintage!
That last game was insane lmao - I laughed audibly
Funny, i just played against a Duel Commander interpretation of this concept. Was a wild ride. In the end my Oko saved the day.
Vintage! Lets gooo!
You played x4 Urza's Saga in vintage for the final time and didn't even know it.
frog pack croak em if you got em
Reader: I was confused. Lol
That last game was nuts
Now I need to know where the Fiddlehole leads to
33:06 if they had a needle you still had Oswald into portable hole
Round 3, Phyrexian Metamorph was also an artifact, so, H Recall would blow them out - no need for Swords.
Why not playing the two bubbles on turn 1 game 1? (And similarly why playing only one of them on turn 2?)
Am I correct in saying that Top only draws a card off PO if it's still on the battlefield when PO resolves, so tapping it in response to PO is just a waste?
Correct
1:24:35 that was beyond brutal
Aaaaaaand this deck is already illegal. Sadge. What would you play over Sagas #2-4 and Bauble #2?
39:13
LMAO
Why is this Turbo Vault Key and not Lurrus Control, that runs Vault-
Ah, this is on Oswald, neat.
Saga and Bauble restricted! Thoughts?
I didn't fully understand why the deck was playing balance, I thought that card was pretty out of vintage now.
But man, that last game was one hell of a showcase.
It’s usually just Plague Wind in Vintage but sometimes you go into the matrix with it like that game
Why do you have to be able to board mox opal out? I guess i dont understand why it cant be a core component of a deck rather than a boardable card
Because it’s the most fragile mana source that is the most affected by every card every opponent will bring in against you. You don’t HAVE to do anything, you’ll just win more if you’re able to take bad cards out of your deck for game 2.
VINTAGE FROG PACK SMOKE EM IF YOU GOT EM 🐸🤫
Playing vintage around bannings time is a good reason bc the format is stable, right? ….right???
Thought he’d get to dodge the banned card video after the scam one a couple days ago lol
saga restricted probably means this deck doesnt work very well anymore huh?
there was a line to balance in game 1 of round 1! saga tutor lotus, float a mana, lurrus to hand tapping crypt, float off academy, crack lotus floating black, dt for balance, crack bauble off academy mana, cast lotus off lurrus, and you can cast it that turn. i don’t know if the line is even good at that point, but it existed

That’s a lot of spells to cast with an archon in play mate
40:25 "I'm gonna shave one hole"
Which one?
