    Great dunes! We just visited Death Valley and Eureka Dunes! It IS hard work walking!

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  6 лет назад

      It really is! And the sand is deep too. Great you went to Eureka Dunes. We hope we can get to ones in Death Valley too :D What was your impression?

    • @HappyTrailsHiking
      @HappyTrailsHiking 6 лет назад +1

      Within Hiking Distance we LOVED it! Eureka Dunes was quiet and beautiful when we went. We are from the Midwest and had never seen anything like it before! We have a video from our day trip out there if you want to see it.

      Happy Trails Hiking - How great! These dunes are just so impressive. I will definitely watch your video 👍😊

    Haha, I was going to say that would be a hard trail with all the sand!

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  6 лет назад

      Man, yes! Much harder than we anticipated. And all the dunes to go through before you reach the biggest one...! 😅The landscape is so beautiful you want to go on and make it to the top.

    I have done those dunes before and they are hard to walk up! 1st off your filming and editing really well. I really appreciate hiking videos that are in high quality and not shaky. The fact that these are so short I'll be able to watch them all eventually.

    Where did you park your car and which direction you need to go from the parking spot?

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  3 года назад +1

      There is a parking area at the trailhead, it is marked. Thanks for your question.

    hi! just wondering how long it took round-trip?

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  4 года назад

      Hi! Round trip was 3 miles. Walking in the sand is hard so allow more time than a regular 3 mile hike would take you. Hope it is helpful.

    Really cool. Walking in soft sand up a hill is a little harder then people think, but the views are rewarding. Nice video. 50Tube

      Thank you 50Tube :+) Indeed, much harder than one would think. And these dunes also looked closer! lol Totally worth it though :D

    Hi! Was wondering; since theres no 'trail' in some places can you get lost easily or wander off trail?

    • @WithinHikingDistance
      @WithinHikingDistance  3 года назад

      Hi Saphy! You can wonder off anywhere in that area. You can't get lost. Just walk toward the highest dune 😊 It is a very open area and you can see for miles around you. There are also other people around usually. The parking lot is easy to find. There is absolutely no shade so take plenty of water. You may also want protect your skin with sunscreen.

    I reckon the camera (though the shooting is excellent) doesn't quite do justice to the panoramic views you guys are getting.

      Alessandro B - Thank you Alessandro! 😊 You're right - not even close. Personally, it was my favorite place since we went back on the road a month ago. My little paradise 💛
