No hate on Chadman for this one - made a good bit of fun of him but it was pretty much fair game after the way the other dude was acting - can't blame him for a good ol' bit of salt mining!
I was thinking the same thing when watching. Nothing Chadman said seemed too unreasonable for how absolutely unhinged and detached from reality the zerg was acting. Like the dude straight up had created a scenario in his head that was different than what was being presented to him on the screen.

the salt minning was clean
Last game I was cannon rushed, I was able to hold it off on the high ground. I left a bunker on the high ground with marines in it and floated everything to a far away expansion and ferried my scv's out to it then ferried 2 siege tanks back to the main to look like I was still there. The protoss overran it eventually but succeeded in taking an empty base. Which was enough time for me to get a bc out, destroy his main. Its like I drank a glass of water straight from the sea with how much salt he threw at me after that. He had nothing that could shoot up as the second and third bc went to his expansion outside my old main base. That felt good.

Sounds like a real try hard strategy :P You should have just let him win...
Every time I get cannon rushed, I make sure to slip a drone out to the third base and squeeze the protoss in from both sides. This way they can't follow it up with a frontal assault, which my second base will be able to defend. The level of investment in Protoss holding a cannon rush cancels out any Zerg lost mining time by using a third base instead of a second.
Had this happen to my ally:
Me: terran
Ally: toss
My enemy: toss
Ally enemy: terran
So my ally cannon rushed his opponent to hus base ramp and boxed him in. I was busy fighting my enemy toss and my ally is just making an army snd sitting outside his base.
This continous for like 15 min and I scan my enemy base and lo and behold everything but a cc was in his allies toss base.
Dude my ally was so mad at himself for just never scouting his enemies ramp. Like not rage but jsut facepalm himself about his own stupidity.
Even worse, was a map were there were islands so even more reason his opponent would have just pissed off and relocated away.
Teesed him for 3 months with this, since then he always scouts the enemy even when boxing em in with a cannon rush.

The only thing worse than balance whining after losing a game is gloating after cheesing your opponent. That crap is, at least in my experience, just as common as salt.

Chadman is 10/10! Absolutely love it, possibly the best response to salty looser so far. Others in the series are mere salt gatherers, but he was the true salt miner, actively digging for more :D

Hey, if you're gonna be forced into games with salty people, you might as well enjoy yourself while you play. It's not like Chadman started acting like a jackass until after his opponent did. Fair game in my opinion.

I've played about 150 ranked games. Since starting sc2 and the worst I've had is a 'fuck you' after a 5 roach opener. It's not that bad honestly

Honestly I have played a bunch of sc2 and I would say salt mine games are few and far between. Usually you get like a f u or like get called a smurf (a compliment if you are not) I did have one game where the guy wanted to know my address so he could come and fight me in real life that was hilarious. I kept thinking I would like to have a salt mine game but didn't have a good one to submit.
Rare games where you get salt from opponents are the best, part of me wishes they happened more often. :D
Yeah, it really isn't common. Worst I've had was a guy who went mass muta (that I scouted) accuse me of being a map hacker since I had thors in position to defend him diving into my main base plus when I moved out (in a straight line from my base to his) to counterattack he move-commanded his muta flock over my thors and marines.

ArrowSlifer is winner for sure. Choosing toss and doing bad canonrushes just automatically makes you a winner. Respect for sending the first replay in. We haven't seen many games, where players are pulling each other down. There must be much more of this games, but no one's sending in 😁

Idk, its like they wanna be like that guy in school who doesn't study and sleeps in class but still aces tests and can answers questions when called on but if you actually study you are a nerd.
Think it's two different things.
You can take things seriously and put in effort and that's commendable; but more a problem when you're letting people know how hard you try via being disrespectful etc.
(Think in like a shooter where you blame everything else besides your own self, or teabagging random people you kill)

This kind of mentality has been around 25+ years now starting with Starcraft I. People just get pissed because they play for 'fun' while ignoring it's a competitive game. I myself have lost count of the times I've been told 'This isn't a competitive game' in warcraft despite the literal definition being competing for victory *Shrugs*
Tryharding and trying hard are two different things. It's only tryharding if you're ruining your teammates experience in the process.
ArrowSlifter is only complaining about his opponent not letting him win, but instead of sounding like a baby he says tryharding like it remotely applies to the situation.

To 'fade' some one in sports betting means to bet the opposite of what they bet or to always bet against a specific team. Basically means you think someone will lose so you bet the opposite. Only thing I can possibly come up with.
That first game should be the start of a new series, like Smurf Cakes or something like that.
Why
I do believe tryhard is an applicable term outside of starcraft, but in a 1v1 RTS you're either tryharding or losing. I'd say its more like when you're playing a team based game and most of the people are trying to have an interesting match and one person wants to speed run to the victory screen, which may actually be making the game worse for both their opponents and allies.
Tryharding isn't just "trying hard" which you should be doing regardless. Its more like, the mindset of "winning isn't enough, I must dominate."
Take a player with 3k potential if they were trying hard, and have them play lazily. They will probably settle in around 2k or 2.5k, where they will be winning 50% without tryharding. Take the most tryhard player in SC2, and yes he is fairly dominant against most people, but sometimes struggles to win against other top-level tryhards.
If you sign for competitive match in any game it's a competitive match not a fun stroll. You either do your best or lose all your games. "Tryhard" is a word that weak players usually use to avoid accountability. It's not because they are bad or play poorly it's because someone is tryhard and/or smurf. Tryhard in essential means being competitive and putting effort into something which is positive.
And btw "winning isn't enough, I must dominate" is kinda the sole purpose of ranking system. You compete to climb up. You compete to be the best.

@@Skorpyotnt Kinda sounds like you didn't really read what I said and you probably won't read this one either, but on the off chance you do: 1v1 competetive ranked play is "Play your ass off or lose." There is no such thing as tryharding there.
But there are unranked team matches in starcraft and games that aren't starcraft or even RTSes that are ruined by people being "too" competetive. Like if you join a pub team fortress 2 match and there's one guy with like 90 kills and 3 deaths, they're probably not making the game fun for his team mates or opponents and they should go find a competetive server to play on unstead of casual.
Tryharding is showing up to a casual match but playing like it was a tournament for money.

Tryhards reject the very concept of casual play, then ruin it for the casuals.

I do love the salt mines, that fact that zerg thought protoss was smurfing is sad and shows his level on understanding about the game. Any GM level player would beat him with micro much sooner and macro much harder.

I had no problem with Chadmandoo's behavior. The other guy started by telling him to "die in a fire." After that it was no holds barred and Chad rightfully made fun of the dude, but never sunk to his level and told him to die or anything like that. He was a real Chad, bravo to him.

Happens to me almost daily, when they cheese and I counter them, they have prepared a 1000 word essay why the game is dying because everyone is smurfing, and also at the end the cancer threats ofc... And we wonder why we hate cheesers, it's coz they are toxic to the very end xD

All arrowstifler had to do was take the gases, make an immortal and shield battery, done, or
use that pure mineral production to go to 3 or 4 bases while containing the terran maybe make a couple pylons with canons on the other side to stop drops and there's nothing marine could do to catch up to the economy as he gets a-moved by immortals or even just zealots with charge like what kind of protoss is sitting here not getting the actual tech that make "protoss op" in the first place?

I find that when people accuse others of being in their parents basement it just feels weird. You are playing a video game. I would still argue the majority of people are minors playing video games. So in general most people probably still live with their parents.
