Hi, I was casting out about 120 to 130 yards, and a few of the fish came at max distance, but others were caught much closer in, at about 50 to 60 yards out. Last year, in July and August, I was catching them on small metal jigs about 50 yards out and sometimes closer. They do seem to be closer in further into the season.
