Just as a fun fact: Ringabel's theme cutting in, despite not granting any stat buffs, still behaves like a special attack. So you can use it to keep any buffs you get from the special attacks heh.
What can we say, Ringabel is special all around.
Ringabel, the most interesting man in the world in Bravely Default series.

When Ringabel used his special for the first time, the hype was UNIMAGINABLE.
He's reviving the Final Fantasy III guest party member mechanics.
Having his theme override itself over an over was wonderful.
I can't help but burst out laughing at 3:35 because Alternis is being all awkwardly giddy about the pendant's voice receiver working. He's such a dork. A lovable one.

Thundaga is a lightning spell. It basically means “I’ll strike like a lightning bolt to the heart.”

Now that is a bittersweet story, from start to finish. All the suffering, all the tears, and yet, no remorse or anger towards any of it. Instead, more side-quests, right?

Nope, the spare helmet is Ringabel’s. Notice how confused Alternis seems? And how Ringabel has Edea’s bow tied on his arm, whereas Alternis doesn’t?

the only thing i actually got out of this fight is the asterisk and the fact i REALLY want her sword...
Shame they only implemented asterisk weapons in BD2, its a really ~~busted~~ cool idea.
You can get boss weapons in Bravely Second, and while still very powerful (Strongest in terms of power for each weapon class) they aren't broken like in BD2 due to not giving all the support skills for the respective class though it is tedious to get them due to them each being 200,000 Pg, of course with the right setup, you can farm Pg like no tomorrow, it's that it still takes an infuriatingly long time
Though I also think another reason is due to the Quad Wield skill which allows you to equip FOUR weapons, that would be WAY TOO MANY SUPPORT SKILLS on a single character

I knew Edea Loved him too and its pretty cool that Ringabel was in the main cutscenes the entire time And i kinda just thought that the Original Alternis was in the Grandship Side event no Edeas bow tied to his arm! And this backstory in this sidequest im already forgetting about it o.o but nice watching it again on this video It turns out Griede Aka Founder is not such a bad father poor Yew:\

Seems the game never actually tells you about either, since the figure in the crypts says nothing after a certain point. I'm guessing it's either a red herring, or something that will be addressed in the third game.
The figure in the crypts is Foundar Geneolgia, or so I believe.
Fromaster24 Certainly a possibility. The journal entries and the character in the crypts talk about the Eye of Foundar without actually stating what it is. So it makes sense that it's Foundar's ghost.

It seems that Accedia (the Latin name) was translated to its English counterpart this time around. The effects and animation are practically the same.
Plus side, we get Airy's broken debuff this time around.

Definitely my favorite boss theme of the game, next to Kaiser Oblivion. It was a bit frustrating that Ringabel's theme kept interrupting every 2 minutes.

Ringabel's theme is awesome. The special themes from Bravely Default were distinctive and were really good. Bravely Second's special themes weren't. The weren't really all that memorable and if I heard them without a picture of their associated character, I'd never know who's they were.

It's not you, she definitely was agitated there. The reason is unknown to me, but judging from the Planeswarden's outfits in that painting before that conversation, and the similarities they bear with Magnolia's own, I'm going to assume that perhaps they may be related to her people in some way.

No, it's the United Garb, which you can buy in Gathalatio for 990k pg. The actual Kaiser look is similar, but not quite the same. (Either way, both look awesome).

I understand the story of Foundar Geneolgia and Griede but there must be something I overlooked in Yoko's story. If Yoko is a demon fox, then who the hell is Danzaburo's little sister?
BTW Ringabel, ol' Ringabel is back, the moment I was looking forward to the most.
Actually,Danzaburo didn't exist. His just a mere illusion created by yoko that plays the role as her brother. What yoko trying to do is just replicate the sword of the brave event that yew did causing denys lost his arm, so that yew felt guilty.

So if I understand this correctly, Yoko is the little girl with the plague. But if that's the case, then who is the grandpa she is talking about that didn't want the little girl to go and be quarantined. Is that her grandpa or some person whom she calls grandpa?
Yoko's 'soul' was moved into the little girl. In a way Yoko herself was part of the Plague.
