I like how a VAMPIRE rises in a puff of smoke and they just engage him in casual conversation. "Huh, two thousand year old vampire count, cool, but about this painting-"
Considering what was learned recently, I see you have Ringabel dressed as a Dark Knight. Kind of ironic you have Holy Arts on him as his secondary skill, but hey, if Cecil could switch between both jobs so skillfully in Dissidia, why not? : D Just wow, for an optional boss that was quite a bit of expositional dialog. Definitely well written stuff, especially about the asterisks, and I love that DeRosso only fights you to test you. It's refreshing to meet a "vampire" who's not some human-hating ass. And why am I not surprised the vampire job has the girls put on ears? At least the Charm move will definitely make Ringabel the best choice for vampire. XD
I always found that although this is optional that it is important for the progression of the game. It gives you an idea of the scourge and makes you want to pound the lil pain...lol
This is literally the best dugeon music in any game. It was fortuitous hearing Lord Derosso explain the history of the game whilst the best tune continuously played in my ears.
I find it hilarious that you named the special moves after moves from other games. The tales reference I could have expected, but I was much more surprised seeing Nibelung Valesti make an appearance. Terminus Pride is also pretty fitting for Edea, I'll grant. Impressive plans, btw. I can tell you put a lot of time into this game by how efficiently you handle the enemy's pattern. Bone crush? What's that?
I believe i saw 2 eternal sonata(the best music based RPG ever) references, 1. "spirits pathway" was one of Fedrick's moves and at the end of a harmony chain he would say "forget the pain you felt in your dream"(pretty sure you could only fit "forget the pain" in there 2. "Shade comet was one of polka's move and at the end of a harmony chain she would say "im sorry" :)) i love eternal sonata, i wished they had made a sequel for it :((
I just won this fight last night. And, even on level 75, it was rough doing it in the middle of chapter 4. I pulled it off by making all my characters Valkyries, equipping them with Holy Lances, and spamming DeRosso to death with Jump. And, it took three or four attempts before I struck on that little brainstorm. No wonder his backstories practically radiates badassery.
My secrets to the DeRosso and Dragon fights were Giants Drafts, and maxing out my healer's...healing, so to speak, with Holy One and other such skills. DeRosso himself was surprisingly tricky (lv69, jeez), but I managed to buff myself up enough to match him. Agnes' healing kept up pretty well with his damage, Edea kept on defense and used Compounding when I needed her to, and Ringabel and Tiz piled on damage from magic and duel wielding respectively. Oh, and Hasten World helped as well, because it actually put DeRosso on a loop of his AOE attack. All and all, rough friggin' fight, but it was surprisingly fun and satisfying when I won.
Did he pretty much mention a secret spot of legendary weapons and other stuff that's hidden away somewhere? Does that mean you can find it later, or am I misinterpreting it?
CFW Trick The Ba'als are "superbosses," but *HE* is the _actual_ superboss. *HE*'s the boss at the end of the bonus dungeon, whereas you get the powerful Ba'als via Streetpass.
Man your good even i struggled to beat him at lv55 normal mode. Guess i equipped wrong job/weapon to do kill him that's why it was hard. Rampart yeah could use that.
Wow, you beat him in Hard mode at lv.60. Congrats! I'm loving your strategies, really. This probably was the hardest boss so far imo. Took me more than 2 hours to beat him at lv.56 at the same difficulty. :\ (even if I suppose this wasn't your first try XD)
+TheNintendoBros12 Nah...we all sucked when we fought DeRosso the first time. First time you WILL die, end of story. After that, you'll get used to it and just adapt to kill him...really though, he's much stronger then most of the bosses in the storyline. No wonder Yulyana and him kept dealing so many blows but not dying in combat: They were both OP as hell!
Whew.... this fight. This whole subquest was such a pain. My party was Edea Valkyrie with Sword Magic. Agnes Spiritmaster with B/W Magic Ringabel Pirate with Hunting Tiz Ninja with Miscleanny. The dragon's were such a pain i resorted to ninja evading with turn tables with countering. It was very cheap and boring... But this fight... it really came down to the brim for me.
sora8711 I think the sub-quest is more of a pain due to the monsters in the castle being ridiculously strong in hard mode, I found the stage a lot more difficult than the dragons or derosso himself. I found the dragon's and derossos fight to be pretty interesting actualy, specially against jabberwocky since I had neither dread immunity nor abate dark since I still didn't had the dark knight asterisk :(. I find your ninja/turn tables strategy pretty interesting, I wished I could've realized it sooner. against the dragons I used: swordmaster/medication, spiritmaster/white magic, black mage/singing, ninja/sword magic, never realized that the breath attacks could be evaded. Against derosso I used: White mage/holy arts, sword master/medication, black mage/singing, pirate/singing
I enjoyed the fight against derosso, though what you need to do to get to him is annoying. I resorted to doing the ninja counterattack trick against the dragons. The dungeon he is in was annoying too those wolves that counter physical attacks were especially annoying. Still really liked demos so as a fight, because it was fun but hard, and as a character because how can you dislike this guy. Especially with what he does at the end to make sure all of this happens. Such a good character.
I can't even beat this guy at level 81 (Hardmode)... Edea>Templar/Valkyrie/Knight Tiz>Freelancer/Monk Agnes>Spirit Master/White Mage/Templar Ringabel>Arcanist/Black Mage I had to beat him at Normal mode... Did it chapter 4, I skipped Alternis's Dark Knight asterisk. lol
This may be a very stupid question but i just got the game on the 29th of March but how do you get the Bravely Second ability back after using it with out having to pay for it? Or is that even possible?
Hmm... anyone has a guide that says where are the stone keys or whatever they're called to open the gate? I first thought that you didn't have to go there yet in the story, but seeing Omega now makes my theory go to waste.
Oh, they are those small pillars in the world map. There is one in each continent and 1 off to the islands north of Florem, you fight 1 Dragon in each to get the stones. Kinda forgot to mention that lol (The dragon fights weren't very interesting to record and this is already long enough as it is with the cutscenes)
He is tricky, you have to keep your HP at full while surviving his attacks, one of his moves(Bone Crush) does ridiculous damage based off of damage on your entire party (yeesh) on Hard hes 3rd on my Nightmare list, the key to his defeat lies in this clue, he favors physical attacks, while only using Graviga every now and then, as well as stat buffs, there are 2 classes that counter such attacks without damaging your party, one of them Edea's Father has, but I leave you to make your own tactics.
how is he restoring his bp so fast? surly your not just using the default. what skill is it that gives him bp every time he blocks that energy burst skill.
It's called "You Are My Hope," but it should show up anyway if you just search for "Tiz's special theme bravely default" so you probably found it by now, haha.
different special moves give you different buffs. If you noticed the music would change at until the special music would stop your party would have the buffs from EACH special move.
+Xavier Rodriguez Holy Lance, Divine Fists, and Excalibur is from the Eternian Central Command. You can also steal an Excalibur by fighting Braev, the Templar Asterisk holder. The Diamond Staff you buy on the Grandship.
He isn't that hard, with rampart. With free Ressurect and free cura along with healing lore you can almost heal completely. With performers One more for you can charge these guys quick. Or just use stillness haha~ dark knight is really good too.
Buff Up is a passive ability that's learned by the Performer at Job Lvl 9 (learned at Job Lvl 4 in the demo). You'll have to equip this outside of battle in the Ability menu. Once you equip it, you get a nice P Def, P Atk, M Atk and M Def boost for 5 turns. Very useful for long boss battles like this one.
Be a salve maker. They have an innate ability called Healing Lore, which they can also learn and equip to other jobs at job level 9. Having that skill equipped will double the effectiveness of all your healing, whether from items or spells.
I haven't tried salve-maker at all. However, I switched my primary white mage character (Anges) to Spiritmaster, and that made a huge difference in healing :P
MAZZ0Murder Spiritmaster does have a lot of useful abilities, both active and passive. Especially combining the spiritmaster's Holy One passive with the salve-maker's Healing Lore will turn your healer into a healing powerhouse. I had Tiz (my healer) set as a salve-maker with holy one equpped passively, and I rarely had to use more than Cura or Curada throughout the rest of the game. Plus, knowing even a few of the item combinations can make compounding really useful. For example, combine a hi-potion and an ether to make a quarter elixir, restoring 5000 HP and 500 MP so long as the character using it has healing lore equipped (2500HP/250MP otherwise). Combine a hi-potion and a phoenix down to revive a character with full health instead of 200 HP. Once I found these, salve-maker became my favorite healing class.
Sounds decent. I still haven't delved into the Salve-Maker, though I'm finding other interesting combinations that have been working pretty well. However those nifty combinations sound pretty good!
I like how a VAMPIRE rises in a puff of smoke and they just engage him in casual conversation.
"Huh, two thousand year old vampire count, cool, but about this painting-"
VAMPIRE JOB GET!
Special attack: Wine glass throw
Ringabel: "WHAT IS A MAN!? A sexy pile of FAHSIONAAAAAABLUH!"
Lol XD
+Rikuo86 Ringabel, your uh...a bit too drunk, my friend...wait wait WHAT ARE YOU DOING NO WAIT AHHHH- *gets hit by Obliterate*
Haha, Ringabel using the Dark Knight Asterisk. xd

[Flegan777]
I love to call that the 'Ying-Yang Knight'.
Yeah, amazing dialogue. Writers should take notes.
There's a vampire in the lore of the Shadoverse game named Urias Formonde, he doesn't hate humanity and his goals are to find worthy souls to fight.
Same thing, also the same when you're listening Victor's story
OMG DeRosso's sword! it looks just like the thing Skeith uses when he does a data drain (recounts project x zone)
I love listening/reading history of a world inside a game, its always so interesting.
I find it hilarious that you named the special moves after moves from other games. The tales reference I could have expected, but I was much more surprised seeing Nibelung Valesti make an appearance. you can rename the special attacks in this game, hence omega put those and other game references in this game
DeRosso's sword
I just played the Switch Demo, so I've never played a previous game. This is some intense story and depth. I'm jealous that I didn't get to play this!
I just won this fight last night. And, even on level 75, it was rough doing it in the middle of chapter 4. I pulled it off by making all my characters Valkyries, equipping them with Holy Lances, and spamming DeRosso to death with Jump. I suddenly felt the goosebumps down my spine when i found out what was that kast painting was all about.. Cool story love yhe twist they put here :3
Did he pretty much mention a secret spot of legendary weapons and other stuff that's hidden away somewhere? Does that mean you can find it later, or am I misinterpreting it?
Yeah, Dimension's Hasp. It's a bonus dungeon with lots of good equipment and the superboss.
Ace Law Larsen
how do I get there?
CFW Trick The Ba'als are "superbosses," but *HE* is the _actual_ superboss. *HE*'s the boss at the end of the bonus dungeon, whereas you get the powerful Ba'als via Streetpass.
Awwww cute Tiz's has a ribbon on his back
Man your good even i struggled to beat him at lv55 normal mode.
Guess i equipped wrong job/weapon to do kill him that's why it was hard.
Rampart yeah could use that.
You could just ninjad his ass. You know, every physical attack are useless
Wow, you beat him in Hard mode at lv.60. Congrats! I'm loving your strategies, really. This probably was the hardest boss so far imo.
Took me more than 2 hours to beat him at lv.56 at the same difficulty. :\
(even if I suppose this wasn't your first try XD)
Man was this guy hard. Even at normal difficulty with all of my character at 70+ I struggled beating him. I guess I just suck at RPGs.
+TheNintendoBros12 Nah...we all sucked when we fought DeRosso the first time. First time you WILL die, end of story. If I have a voice like DeRosso, I wouldn't shut up.
How did you get the uncensored versions of the vampire costumes in your copy of the game?
how the crap are they doing 9999 damage!!!
Just watching this for the theme song lol
i cant wait for this to come out in february, im so wishing for this for my birthday
I had a bit of trouble with this guy on Chapter 4. It was pleasing to beat him more easily in the later matches
I laughed outloud at the spirit's pathway. Eternal Sonata for the Win!
I enjoyed the fight against derosso, though what you need to do to get to him is annoying. I resorted to doing the ninja counterattack trick against the dragons. dude where did you get holy at? I cannot find it anywhere..
What a crazy and epic story.
How do you always get buffs after every end of the turn?
Thats an ability from the artist job
Which staff is that purple staff that shows on all of them when you get the vampire asterisk?
thats the demon staff, you find it in one of the locked chests(i thinks in dimensions hasp)
Already got it but thanks a bunch for replying
I can't even beat this guy at level 81 (Hardmode)...
Edea>Templar/Valkyrie/Knight
Tiz>Freelancer/Monk
Agnes>Spirit Master/White Mage/Templar
Ringabel>Arcanist/Black Mage
I had to beat him at Normal mode...
Did it chapter 4, I skipped Alternis's Dark Knight asterisk. lol
is it possible to get astrisks that you didn't get from Chapter 4 in Chapter 5?
How are you getting buffs at the start of each turn?
Performer job. At Job level 9 you get Buff Up, increases M/Atk and Def + Phys/Atk and Def by 5% per turn, eventually maxing out. Costs 2 SP.
was Spirit's Patheway an Eternal Sonata ref
This may be a very stupid question but i just got the game on the 29th of March but how do you get the Bravely Second ability back after using it with out having to pay for it? Or is that even possible?
You get it with sleep mode, every while you get a bottle
Does any one knows wich abilities uses omega in each job???
Hmm... anyone has a guide that says where are the stone keys or whatever they're called to open the gate? I first thought that you didn't have to go there yet in the story, but seeing Omega now makes my theory go to waste.

What's the OST playing when they were having their conservation?
"Infiltrating Enemy Territory".
What sword is ringabel using?
Excalibur, it's stolen from Braev the Templar during his rematch from chapter 5 onward.
Chance Loving but u can get it in a hidden chest in braev castle too... also, do u recive unique weapons when u steal them in the rematches? o.O
+Pedro Lisandro Caballero Occasionally, yes. The rematches will get you things such as Crow's armor, Lordly Robes.
I beat him and I am unable to get the move Graviga. I was wondering if it was possible to get the move Graviga anywhere in the game?
+Arunan Bavananthan Time Mage, DeRosso using Graviga is likely a support ability he has.
oh ok thanks!
This guy is so fucking op man. I still can't beat him ._.
The skill of the red mage, gives you 1 BP everytime you get hit
what is the name of the theme that plays at 30:20?
It's called "You Are My Hope," but it should show up anyway if you just search for "Tiz's special theme bravely default" so you probably found it by now, haha.
yeah but thanks anyway
How do they get those buff ups almost every turn? I'm new tothis game
different special moves give you different buffs. If you noticed the music would change at until the special music would stop your party would have the buffs from EACH special move.
they're all using the buff up support ability (from the perf'ormer skills)
where do you get those weapons?
+Xavier Rodriguez Holy Lance, Divine Fists, and Excalibur is from the Eternian Central Command. You can also steal an Excalibur by fighting Braev, the Templar Asterisk holder. The Diamond Staff you buy on the Grandship.
Anyone else agree that DeRosso's voice is pure sex? I mean, damn boi.
I use to have the hots for derosso lmao
He isn't that hard, with rampart. With free Ressurect and free cura along with healing lore you can almost heal completely. With performers One more for you can charge these guys quick. Or just use stillness haha~ dark knight is really good too.

wow , this video brings me nostalgic XD , i havent played this game for a looong time XD i quitted after hitting 999,999 damage
Apparently I play this game WRONG. None of my healing abilities do much more than 1500+
Guess that's what I get for switching classes more often :P
Be a salve maker. They have an innate ability called Healing Lore, which they can also learn and equip to other jobs at job level 9. Having that skill equipped will double the effectiveness of all your healing, whether from items or spells.

Wait, are your Ringabel a Hakumen?
I hate the castle design. Why vampire was residing in that weird design castle.. not comforable.
