Will be visiting my daughter soon, who lives near Hollywood Blvd. Can’t wait to see all the locations you covered in her area. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
This is my favorite topic of this channel. Sure you have your downtown and Hollywood history...but this is the VALLEY...home of the Valley Girls, California speak and culture. I have a feeling there's more coming
I just subscribed as I just found your awesome videos! I'm 47 and lived in the valley my whole life. My dad had a '78 Ford station wagon and every weekend we'd go to Fedco in Van Nuys, where I'd get my Gumby gummy bears, which is now a Target. Kids in those days man, we devoured those movies and played them over and over! I never knew so many locations were right around the corner, but there's a feeling, a certain valley feeling that although they never say where it was filmed, you just knew. Lots of good memories and excellent, excellent channel! Keep 'em coming!
Driving around the valley without having to actually "drive" around the valley! Thanks for going out for us Kurt! Some great memories and locations as always! Appreciate this amazing Valley series! 👻🙏🏽 Side note: that Tarzana Square sign was VERY vintage 80s..trip into the past with Round Table Pizza and all
Yes, please. Part 2. As a teenager, I worked at the Reseda walk-in theater. Late 70s. Seen lots of movies there, too. And the Reseda Country Club was such a nice venue for concerts during the early 80s.
The Pee Wee Video was awesome i grew up on Pee Wee and i follow everyone u had cameo in that video that was really cool and well done. Thanks for these videos I'm a 80's baby and seeing these videos blow my mind so thanks again continue making these great videos God bless and stay safe.🍻
I lived one block over from Van Nuys High in the 70s as a kid. I use to walk by everyday on Kitteridge walking to school at Van Nuys Elementary. My grandparents owned the apartment building on Gilmore Street that backs up to the tennis courts.
Hi, watching you from Italy, i got your age more or less and i wanna tell you that it's always interesting to see the places you show on video. Well done as usual, and sorry for my not so good english. See you!
It's a nuisance if you live in LA. Not a "trip". Seeing your liquor store? your block? big f'in deal. Gettting those notices pasted up anywhere all over the city every year for decades and decades "notice of filming" means a mini town of grips gaffers and trucks invades, bothers you, keeps you from using the stores at the sites. You figure most everything you saw was filmed here - TV and movies, thousands of productions every year so.... I never saw ANY of the shows or whatever he was talking about either which proves my point of how annoying the industry is to people here. 🎬
@@Stevelives13 Nahh, you let others drive your plane?? We done kicked out hollywood from filming on our blocks years ago. It's why a lot of productions don't film here anymore, too expensive and too many people like me that don't want 'em. 👀
Great video as always. When you were driving on woodman in Arleta by the 99c store, I know you must have made a left on Nordhoff st. You were literally about a half mile from the Marty's house in back to the future. Hopefully you get to do another continuation video to this one. Love when you do valley videos, they remind me of a time when I was a kid and used to drive around the valley with my parents.
Bro I grew up through the 80s and 90s all through the valley. I left Woodland Hills right after Northridge earthquake pretty cool Now I'm in Reseda in this video You was just one street over where I live pretty cool Memory Lane bro keep up the good work been watching you for a few years now😊
Kurt Crucial your videos are a Time Machine. You calling out the streets brings me right back into my days in the valley. Thank you for these memories my friend.
I have never heard of or seen half the movies you were talking about, but its cool to see how many locations are within such a confined area, and for the movies I did know of great to see. You should make a part two to this one.
Great video from my old stomping grounds, from 1949 to 1961......when you were going north on Balboa after passing BHS. I lived 1 block west from Balboa on Paso Robles ave right before you got to Saticoy, when you turned left...went to Gault st. & Stagg st elementary schools, from 54 to 61...then moved to TX & OK, then on to San Fran. in 65...Great times!
Makes me so sad how The Valley’s changed 😢but I miss The old Valley back in the day! Businesses were booming, restaurants, theaters, clean, celebs always seen around town. Your videos brings back those good feelings 😊
I absolutely LOVE these videos. I love filming location videos and also love seeing the valley. I live in the Midwest but I am obsessed with being in California. So these videos are like mini virtual vacations for me!!
As soon as you turned down Van Nuys bvld, you passed the bar I was running for a couple years (across from Best buy/Gelsons). Owned by a few brothers that are all actors with around a couple hundred credits to there name. Great times there. I'm probably going back to work there. You were also around the corner from the Cadillac dealership that was in the opening of Commando when Billy Duke stole it and drove down venture.
OMG, I haven't thought about "The Stoned Age" in literally decades at this point. Thanks for the reminder, I'm looking it up right now, if it ain't streaming some place torrents here I come. Lol
Corvette Summer had filming locations on Van Nuys Blvd. That movie with Mark Hamill. I live in Vegas now, but you sure brought me back to my youth. I graduated from Birmingham High School. I worked at a grocery store on the corner of Vanowen and White Oak that was used in a few different movies and tv commercials. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I don't live in the valley but because I recognize so many places from films I feel like I have been there my whole life. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work.
2, 3, 100 !! It's always feeding me you're professional videos Kurt. And your voice, it's was me on your live video who wrote to you than i like your voice. :)
I have a very vague memory when all of the Zodies turned into Targets . 22:04 That always bugged me that they were leaving the Valley at the end , but were supposedly going to the "Valley Sheraton" . Once again aexcellent video
Man, L.A. is just riddled with filming locations. Which obviously makes sense. Even way back when when the film industry moved out there, it was for the weather and diversity of locations, so they could just shoot in the sane place easily. I’ve lived in the Orlando area for the past 26 years, and spent time here even before that. Although we have a pretty tiny amount of filming locations that I could point out, I could drive all over our metro area that’s about 50 miles from north to south and 30 miles or so east to west, and point out a million places that I’ve had personal things happen. Both good and bad. Or point out what used to be in all of those areas too.
You were so close to my neighborhood. Ok, I grew up near Nordhoff and Balboa. Here's my list, Nordhoff over the wash just East of Balboa is where Arnold first found John Conner in T2. Roughly a block away at Havenhurst and Plummer is where the semi truck went into the wash in T2. Also, Balboa and Parthenia in the background is Arnold and John Conner on the motorcycle with the AM/PM in the background. Also, at that intersection was the Fish n Chips restaurant where Brad had to deal with the redheaded twins in Fast Times... and don't forget Brad driving to IBM on a street called Chatsworth in Granada Hills driving East when he stops at the light and the blonde laughs at him. This was at Chatsworth and White Oak. Don't forget at the north top of Reseda Blvd. in Northridge, where it dead ends into a park. ET had one scene there. We use to drink beer there and called it ET Park. Lol. I'm sure you already know these locations but just in case. Trying to help out. Love your location videos!!
Awesome video once again. It’s crazy how many filming locations you were able to get in such a short drive.
Thanks for another great one. 👍

@BW-kv9wj great. I lived further down, close to Van Nuys Blvd and Burbank blvd.

@@cuda426hemi Well its pretty obvious that if you don't want to be annoyed by filming probably best not to live in L.A.

Not a 80's movie. But I watched it a lot during the 80's. The movie carwash. Is that place still standing? It was a fun movie.
I don't live in the valley but because I recognize so many places from films I feel like I have been there my whole life. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work.
