I've always been fascinated by cemeteries. You can find an interesting story in every one of them. Very well done, Jeff. Thank you.
YES INDEED EVERYONE. GREAT JOB AS TREEBUCK WRITTEN.
🎉 me too there is a lot of history in cemitaries
If you know the history of the persons there in some times one gets a surprise
Yay ! 😀 Ritchie Valens, I ❤️ Ritchie, imagine just how great he would of become if he had of lived.
He accomplished so much in such a short time. I remember a lot of these people, great find.
❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
Great video Jeff. I really remember Walter Brennan in the TV Series..."The Real McCoys" where he played the role of "Grandpa". Of course we watched it live as a first run every week since there was no such thing as a "re-run". Oh, and isn't Bob and Delores Hope buried at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery near where you were? I think you could have been there for days and days and still run across many in the entertainment industry. Thanks again Jeff. ......Russell D.
Also, he was in Will Sonnet, looking for his Gunfighter Son; with his Grandson.
If you drive along the 23 freeway between LA ave off ramp and Madeira rd off ramp look off to the west and you’ll see a barn with a windsock and a runway.
That was Brennan’s home and he flew his bi plane right off that runway.
Still there today.
Bob and Delores are indeed buried on the Mission side of the preoperty (maintained but not owned by the cemetery). It's a beautiful, private area with many familiy plots, including their long time housekeeper! You enter it through the mission ($).
I'm starting to walk like Grandpappy Amos with a lot of elbow action. 😕
Walter Brennan was a wonderful character that earned him either 2 or 3 Oscars. We watched the Real McCoys regularly so even as a kid I learned to love him too. My Grandmother would often say that he could put his shoes under her bed any old time. Didn’t know what she meant at first but eventually figured it out. Shame on Grandma!
Always fascinating. Nice tribute to them. Knew most all of those names, but had forgotten them. Thanks for a respectful trip to the graves of them.
God Bless and Rest In Peace Walter Brennan. This man was amazing. A great actor along-side John Wayne in several movies. Thank you Mr Brennan for the great memories and laughs.
Walter Brennan as grandpa NcCoy in The Real Mc Coys on television was a favorite of mine. Thank you for showing his place of rest.
LOTS of great memories! I grew up watching, and still love to watch old westerns and remember Walter Brennan well. I actually remember him the best from "The Real McCoys" TV show. The Rifleman was a fave as well. Chuck Connors was also a professional baseball and basketball player. Great video!
We appreciate the great comment, Cythia! Thanks!
Your Channel Is Wonderful Thanks 😊
Kevin "Chuck" Conners was one of the few people to play both professional baseball and basketball. In fact was first guy to shatter a glass backboard. Prayers for all my fellow Catholics in the Church Suffering in purgatory. And to all those in Church Triumphant in heaven, please pray for me and my family. Great video.
Walter Brennan is my favorite this is a wonderful post Thank you.
Great video, brought back so many memories of watching those wonderful actors through my childhood. The one that hits the most though is Richie Valens, such a young promising artist, who happened to pass away along with the Bopper and Buddy at the same hour and day I was born, the day the music died.
Absolutely exceptional episode! Thanks Jeff and Sarah!
Very well put together history of great people! It was so enjoyable to learn about these people and to see their graves. Thank you!
Thank you, Jeff and Co. for producing another awesome, informative video. Many of those who you featured on this episode were stars I knew well from their shows I saw growing-up, especially Chuck Connors. Me and my brothers got to meet him in the fall of 1967 or 68 when he came to pheasant hunt on my grandparents ranch in Oakdale. Their neighbor Bud provided horses to Hollywood for shows and movies and knew Chuck. He asked permission for him to hunt on their property- it was well-known as prime pheasant land back then. When they finished their hunt, Chuck bought us boys a pony and he and Bud walked her (beauty) over and gave her to us. I was about 10 then and brothers were younger- so you can imagine our eyes and mouths open wide while in the presence of the Rifleman, whose show was well-know to us, mostly in reruns.
Thanks for the great tour!
Thank you for the fun memories of these special people.
Thanks so much for this! Enjoyed it!
Awesome a new video 😊
Thanks for another great video!
One of your best!
Truly some Great memory’s of wonderful people.
Thank you
Remembered a lot of those you have shown today Very much enjoyed Thankyou Jeff
I grew up watching all of these folks as a kid. Thank you for the good memories.
That...was a walk down the lane of my childhood! Lots of people I had not thought of in years- Thank you!
So enjoyed! Thanks!
Very interesting. Especially the gentleman that invented the radio among many other entertainment advances. I love the cemetery visits. I learn a lot of history
It's always good to remember these truly great entertainers, thank you for keeping their names alive.
Walter Brennan, one of my favorite actors. He earned 3 Best Supporting Actor oscars. Up until the early 40's movie extras could also vote and he was popular among his fellow actors. That led to a rules change. He was in the Three Stooges short 'Women Haters'; unique in that all the dialog was in rhyme. Too many great roles in so many great movies. Really enjoyed this one as usual.
I did not know that he appeared in the Three Stooges! Thanks for sharing that! I appreciate you giving us the time to watch!
You do know he was a racist, right?
@@shadetreader and you say that because …?

Terrific, informative trip down memory lane. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you, Jeff.
Another good trip down memory lane with the old stars. Thank you Jeff.
Roll that history!!! Thank you. Nice episode ❤️
Very interesting again. Thank you.
Thanks for remembering these people. I'm sure they would be so grateful.
I would hope so! If nobody cares or remembers that would be a sad testament to their life and career!
It’s awesome you bring back all the old memories of growing up
RIP to all.🙏Thank you for the tour.
Fascinating as always 💚📕📒📮
Thank you Jeff 🎀🔭🔦💡🕰⛩🕋🌻
Ed Begley Sr. is also in two of my favorite Westerns...The Lawman, opposite Burt Lancaster, and Hang 'Em High, opposite Clint Eastwood. In both films he played the dastardly outside the law character to the star's heroic lawman.
You included some of my favorites from my childhood. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your videos Jeff.
Always informative & very interesting. Thank you Jeff.
Thank you Jeff, for bringing old memories back. Loved all those movie stars.
They will always be our favorites, special to us who watched them!
I remember watching the Blondie movies on Saturday with my Mom in the mid 1960’s I believe it was on KBHK 44 in the mid 1960’s then Roller Derby with the Bay Area Bombers and wrestling Ray Stevens , Haystack Calhoun. Good memories thanks for stirring them up Jeff. BTW I’d do Donald Duck imitation’s years ago and I remember I took a gal out on a date in the middle of dinner old Donald started talking she laughed so hard I was afraid she was going to choke.
Walter Brennan was one of my favourite actors, always made me smile when he was on screen..
Enjoyed this episode!! Learning so much from your channel. Thank you, watching your channel allows me to see and travel and learn about places I most likely would never see.
Thank you Jeff and Sarah
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and my big brother is buried there. I've been there many times but never knew some of the people buried there but recognize their faces. Thank you for another great video!
Thanks, Jennifer! Sarah and I went there last year to find Bob Hope's grave not realizing all the stars buried there so a return trip was necessary!
hi jeff!! thank you for remembering these talented people!! RIP!!!! we appreciate you jeff!! stay, safe!!
Thank you so much! We will do our best to stay safe so we can bring you more videos. Lol
That was so interesting! Thank you! Love the stories about people buried there. I love walking cemeteries. My grandpa and I read western novels and traded books back and forth. It was my favorite genre in grade school and high school. Sometimes I read a western just for nostalgia.
Walter Brennan was an amazing supporting actor in so many movies. His unique persona was such a compliment to so many legends like John Wayne. One of my very favorite was The Far Country in which he starred alongside Jimmy Stewart. What a personality.
What a great trip and vid Jeff!
I gotta say I will always remember Walter Brennan for his roll in the Real McCoys! He had some quirky mannerisms.... like he had a hitch in his get a long!! When he would start to walk his shoulders would go up and of course his arms would follow!! And his short temper... and as a kid I never thought much about how fast ol Chuck could fire that lever action Winchester until I owned one similar... and couldn’t figure out how he did it till I read an article on it... they welded a little tab in the right spot on the lever so when he pulled it al the way up it pulled the trigger!! I think countless wanna bees had this done... not me I am a purest if it didn’t come that way then leave it alone!! Great Job as always Jeff!! Thanks So Much!👍👍
Good old Hollywood trickery at play with Chuck, eh? That figures! LOL. Even the reality shows have a bit of staging and dishonest editing behind them! Hey, thanks for your great feedback! It’s appreciated!!!
My Dad loved Walter Brennan. What a cool story of Brezhnev giving Chuck Connors a bear hug!!! Penny Singleton was an absolutely gorgeous woman. I enjoyed the video thoroughly!!!!
Well said! Glad you liked the video and, yes, Penny was a cutie!
A fascinating trip indeed!! Thanks Jeff!
Great video always interesting, thanks.

Another outstanding video Jeff! Thanks for researching it all! Hi to Sarah, missed her! :-)
Jeff ,I'm old enough to remember the majority of these Stars you have visited today! Thanks for all the research you do for your videos and including he relavant clips for the stars!
Especially poinyant Is the " Day the Music Died"! My late partner and I were teens when Buddy, Richey and The Booper perished in that awful plane crash! " Oh Donna " has followed me my lifetime after that song hit the charts! I could introduce myself and invariably someone would start singing Oh Donna ! "True Love Ways" our favorIte also now brings the tears flowing when I hear it or play my BUDDY HOLLY GREATEST HITS ALBUM! My late Beloved was raised in San Diego so I do love that you include the scenery as you drive and visiting the places in California that he visited in his years there! He traveled up and down the state of CA in his summers as a teen and during many years after graduation! He was a Great WONDERER!
Sorry Sarah couldn't make this trip! She has such a dry wit with you! Brings along many smiles for you I'm sure!
Thanks for the memories!!🥰D

Close to home!!! I moved to Sylmar when I was 12 and my dad was a Disney photographer since the late 50s. I had the privilege of meeting Ducky Nash, all the famous artists, including Walt himself....love the video and research behind it.

Yay. Chuck Conners. My fav!!!! I still watch The Rifleman today. Thank you.
My brother loved him and that show. In fact, he had a Rifleman lunch pail while I had a Batman lunchpail. Can you imagine a kid bringing a Rifleman lunchpail to school today? He'd probably get expelled. My, how times have changed!
@@jbenziggy So true!! Hard to even find a western on TV today. Although I have been loving 1883.
