Very good upload. The secret recipe is implied = Consistency of a very good routine which starts with deeply cleansed, hydrated, conditioned and detangled coils which is set with healthy none drying stylers with hold that agree with the needs of your strands and overall health (internal & external).
What I love about your channel is that you speak with such nuance. It really helps convey the knowledge and perspective you have gained from your academic, professional and personal experiences.
Am from Uganda and those classic gels work magic for me. I bought curly magic and mielle ginger styling gel both are botanical gels, they don't work for me. Using the classic gels with a good leave in is the real deal for me
Thanks! I use cleansers marketed as being low lather as opposed to no suds. I like suds. I have a free list of fragrance free products in my description and I share all the products I use with patrons. The link for my Patreon membership is in the bio. ❤️
My hair at a platoe I want my hair to grow pass shoulder link but it want what should I do my auntie Eloise told me to use grease and water in she also told me it might be because I take a lot of medicine is the reason why it want grow pass shoulder link. In she also told me to use a cheap shampoo and conditioner like suave I do in I willing to try new things and have that why I told you I'm willing to go in the lab with you to make affordable products for people of color.
thanks for this fo! have you tried vanicream’s hair products? i love their skincare products for my sensitive, acne prone skin and recently learned they have a shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel.
You’re welcome! Vanicream is the first thing my doctor recommended 2 years ago. I love their face and body products but for me the haircare didn’t work out. For me it was drying. Thanks for commenting ❤️
If you are only using water soluble products, is it still necessary to clarify on a regular schedule? Or only if you feel your hair needs it? Also, my million dollar question that I have yet to get a straight answer to is, how do you know when your hair has reached full hydration if your hair was previously dehydrated?
The schedule for me acts as a reminder. I personally check my hair around the 6 week mark and if my hair isn’t ashy, gummy, or acting weird 😂 then I likely won’t clarify. That’s why I provided flexibility when I discussed clarifying. And the full hydration part…do you have a stylist you can trust? Maybe look into the resources from Carmen Veal Conway or Hydra Bar Salon. Otherwise “full hydration” or hydrated hair is very personal. For me I noticed split ends and single strand knots significantly reduced, but that’s just my hair.
I have a sensitive scalp and I was wondering if your doctor recommended anything to you to apply to your scalp if yes at what point do you apply it in your wash and go routine. I was prescribed a cream but and I was just wondering.

This is perfectly summed up Gladys! ✨ I pinned your comment.

Hybrid Shawty! 🙋🏽♀️
It’s humid over here!
I know you have a ton of humidity! You gotta break out the gels that give results where you are.

Wow, Nia thank you so much for the compliment!

Hello! I haven’t been prescribed a cream. Maybe it would help to apply it after you’ve completed and dried your wash n go? I’m not sure. 🤔
Is the Innersense I create Hold more of a hybrid gel? Thanks!
In my opinion yes although most curl artists would say it’s a botanical gel, period.
