very interesting video, personally, I'm a strong believer of Anfortas being the "pirate" grandfather that he loves to mention, remember how he said at the beginning that he inherited his eyepatch from his grandfather?? maybe he wasn't just being silly but actually telling the truth.

The new Kaeya skin is gorgeous. The one detail I especially love is his vision.
Before Kaeya’s had the Mondstadt vision but it was missing some wings, unique to all the other Mond visions.
In the new skin his vision has changed. It is now a full Mondstadt vision with all the wings, but the added wings also create a Khaenriahn star within the vision. Still unique to Kaeya but not missing any element.
Maybe a symbol that Kaeya has found balance with his Khaenriahn roots and his loyalty to home Mondstadt
I've been saying this for a long time (even rambled about this on stream a couple of times when the region came out), to me Kaeya is clearly from the Anfortas' side of the Alberichs, not the Clothar one. Dainsleif wasn't being entirely honest when he mentioned that the Alberich were the founders of the Order of the Abyss, but didn't say anything about the man who literally fought the Abyss during the cataclysm and gave everything to defend Teyvat.
Also, I really think Kaeya's story about his grandfather with an eyepatch is relevant here. When we start the game we have quests for Lisa, Amber and Kaeya, and it's curious how the first two contain fictional stories that might have heavy lore significance. I think the fictional story that also contains important truths for Kaeya is the tale of his grandfather. For a long time I thought it referred to Irmin, until I learned Anfortas also lost his eye. Men with eyepatches seem to be important figures for Khaenri'ah, huh.
I'm not sure I'd say Anfortas is specifically Kaeya's dad, but I think he's his grandfather or maybe even great grandfather? What I'm sure of is that Kaeya is his descendant. It makes much more sense than Kaeya being related to Clothar.
(Also the theory that Kaeya is Caribert is just... bad, in my opinion. I really doubt hoyoverse would do something like that).
If the Kaeya outfit leak is real, I hope there's going to be an event tied in with it, kind of like Lisa's outfit (and Ayaka's!). I hope we'll get some bites of lore and more "Ah, the handsome Mr. Kaeya" types of dialogue. Also, with all the focus on Khaenri'ah, I think there's something sweet about Kaeya exploring his roots from his mom's side of the family. No missions or duties or "last hope"s... Kaeya just wants to be himself for a change.

My guess is: Kaeya is a descendant of Caribert. And is likely related to the loom of Fate in some way.
The pure blooded khaenrians all became cursed with immortality, and the rest were turned into hilichurls.
The only Khaenrian we know that managed to die a normal death was Clothar (or possibly Caribert himself depending on how long after the flashback the second body was buried). They broke the curse somehow. As far as we know, they’re the only khanerians not cursed. So Kaeya HAS to be their descendant in order to be capable of aging normally and not turning into a hilichurl.
Which sort of puts a damper on your whole Anfortas theory. It’s possible Anfortas was related to clothar as well, quite likely in fact. But Anfortas never had his curse broken and couldn’t have had non-hilichurl children.
Aren’t Hilichurls only the result of people who migrated to Khaenri’ah but were originally from the 7 nations so were cursed as monsters?
We don’t know what would happen if a pure blooded immortal Khaenri’ahn reproduced- would their offspring be normal or not…
Also in the Caribert quest Kaeya says:
“I *recognise* your eyes, you’re a pure blooded Khaenri’ahn aren’t you?”
The fact that Kaeya can recognise and differentiate pure blooded Khaenri’ah eyes to mixed blood suggests that he’s previously acquainted with a pure blooded Khaenri’ahn aka his father. It’s entirely possible Kaeya’s dad is a pure blooded Khaenri’ahn who had a child aka Kaeya, yet Kaeya avoided the curse because he was born after the cataclysm and it’s effects.
Of course this is all just speculation Kaeya’s lineage is so complex it could go in any direction 😭😂

Yes I agree with you. Maybe Antfortas was his grandfather. I do believe Kaeya has a great many decisions to make. We also still don’t know for sure what Kaeya was doing in Sumeru, though he was giving some vague excuses. Looking for his mother? Then he has a very weird connection with Dainslief. (He met Dainslief in Mondstadt during the time Dainslief was there asking the traveler the three questions and taking 500 mora as a fee to journey with the Traveler.)

Yeah I still feel like the "Kaja" connection/theory holds more water than the South Asian names people say his name is from. Not saying they're not right, they could be, but I watched a video delving deep about the "Kaja" theory and it's a lot more connected to Genshin lore, so I'm just more convinced it's actually inspired from "Kaja" that means jackdaw hahah

idk how true this theory is or isn't and I'm only halfway in but wow it's so cohesive with facts I'd rather it be canon than anything else and I just jump at any kaeya content and even more desi kaeya content so this one's for me 🙏

This was definitely an interesting video, tho I don't agree with some of the points you made.
Kaeya is not a good leader right now. He could be, but he mainly works alone, using methods that would be frown upon by the other knights. He also has a sadistic streak, enjoying when every one around him scrambles in fear (even his own team mates, it's described in one of his character stories) I really think Varka only gave the position of captain to Kaeya, because Varka took the cavalry away, and there were no one left for Kaeya to captain.
Also, I really think that Kaeya has something to do with the Fatui. The night he told Diluc of who he is, is very sus. Why would Diluc be so furious, if Kaeya was an agent from a long destroyed country. This country is has no effect on modern Teyvat, and it sunk into obscurity. People doesn't even know about the 'famous' star shaped eye, they don't know nothing about Kaenriah.

I believe Kaeya’s father was a spy and he knew Diluc’s father as he was a spy as well. Maybe neither we’re friends, but things were going down hill in Khaenri’ah and he knew Filuc’s father would take care of kaeya. Yes Kaeya has decisions to make. Dainsleif would like him to become Fatui, he has friends and loved ones in Mondstadt and then there is his connection to the Abyss. There were other reasons why he was in Sumaru. He had met Dainsleif before in Monstadt. There relationship is so stiff and condescending on Dains’ side. Yes I see the ugly duckling side of things. Maybe he was looking for his mom in Sumaru?
