The part where Kaeya improvs the scene in the play was so powerful to me. It really felt like in that moment he decided he wouldn't be Khaenri'ah's last hope but instead just be him and do what feels right to him.
Kaeya has always been one of my favorite characters and I'm so happy we got to see more of his true self in his hangout

Yeah I don’t see Kaeya becoming evil because the Abyss Order have a tragic backstory but ultimately, they are more responsible of evil and lack of empathy than any of the Gods. Also capable of more death.
They were humans making killing machines, then they became monsters still making killing machines. Also trying to brainwash holy creatures into becoming corrupted and attempting to make mechanized Gods to use against civilians.
I can picture Kaeya choosing Mondstadt. But also being able to be a double agent. I think he can speak their language.

The way he carries a Mondstadt's vision over his right shoulder and a Khaenri'ah-ish star over his left is one more detail I think showing how he's not just choosing sides, but acknowledging his past and present and combining it sort of
I love this detail so much

What I hope will happen for Kaeya and any other Khaenri'ah survivors is to choose the Traveler as a 'side'. To me, Kaeaya's 'mocking of fate' will be different from his predecessors this way. Instead of siding with the Abyss or Celestia, place his hoped in the Traveler.
On that same line, I hope the Traveler will also take this "third choice". The Abyss sibling says that we will find the truth at the end of our journey, but I hope this doesn't change the Traveler. What matters is that the Traveler stays true to themselves. Not siding with the Abyss or Celestia, but standing on their own. They're not from this world, so why play by it's rules?

Useless fact: the sword that kaeya is using in the play is the harbinger of dawn. Which coincidentally we obtained at the beginning of the game when we finish Kaeya's interlude, and I remember him saying that this sword used to belong to his grandpa ( but I'm pretty sure it's not the same one that fell from the heavens. That may or may not be the MC sword).

I recognized the "so it must be" from Milan Kundera's book *The unbearable lightness of being*. The first ever lines in this book are about Nietzsche's Eternal Return.
The question and the answer are from Beethoven's last quarter.
A heavy decision. A decition whit weith.
    Must it be?
    It must be!
    It must be!
--Also, the "it must be!"s are sang by "Destiny's voice". Suspicious much?
This all goes back to title of the book, and the duality between lightness and heaviness.
Good and bad. Black and white. Light and dark. Cold and hot. Positive and negative. One is always better than the other.
But in the case of lightness and heaviness, we may think the former is the better, when in reality, only that wich is heavy is meaningful. The heavier the weight we have to carry, the more fulfilling our lifes are.
But, at the same time, the Eternal Return reminds us about the inherent lack of meaning in our lifes. When we die, what is left? The certainty that it will happen again and again. The repetition itself makes life meaningless, there is no excitement, we already now the ending. All fights are fruitless, all change is useless, all suffering is superfluous. That is precisely the reason why the Eternal Retur is the heaviest weight.
PS: this is more or less what I remember from a book I read like ten years ago and in Spanish, so take it with a grain of salt.

    • @roozeveltfox
      @roozeveltfox  Год назад +23

say sike right now? "SO MUST IT BE" ACTUALLY HAS AN IRL REFERENCE THAT COULD DIRECTLY TIE WITH ETERNAL RETURN?????? I just saw Kaeya saying history repeats itself, and the "do you believe in fate" section reminded me of a segment I did in my other video??? Are you kidding me?????
Thank you so much for pointing this out to me. I'm on the floor, in shambles, my soul transcending, crying shaking sobbing. I will now be taking some time to go back down my research hole...

Honestly, the thing where Dusk Birds could learn human speech was probably a Rukkhadevata thing, since the Viridescent Venerer set includes a line about how, when the plants could talk before the "God of the Woods" died, the grass would relay what the birds in the trees saw to the Viridescent Venerer. So presumably at least some birds, as well as the trees, could speak back then.

We ARE basically going though the acts until we reach khaenri'ah chapter and I think Fontaine will probably explain that since their whole nation practically is one giant stage, from what I’ve figured out🙃 and we know from the circlets artifact set that the world is Cyclical (celestia made it that way), so everything is probably just one giant loop, the only ones who were probably outside of the loop were khaenri'ah people and the arrival of the Twins, because Teyvat got fecked up once our sibling got into khaenri'ah (what nahida said)

  • @berrybread7215
    @berrybread7215 Год назад +25

I definitely think that Kaeya will find a way not to make a “choice” at all as expected by the factions waiting on him to make a move, whoever they’re comprised of across Celestia, Khaenri’ah and Teyvat as a whole.
My super unfounded theory is that Kaeya is a backup hard drive of sorts for prime Khaenri’ah. Think: a sentient USB stick that contains, in memory-form, the civilizational blueprint for Khaenri’ah at the height of its power and technological capabilities. I suspect he doesn’t know it but was only made aware that he was important (hence the last hope line from his father) and also might explain why his father chose to smuggle him out. It’s like storing something in a safety deposit box.
Part of me thinks the “agent” thing wasn’t literal, but maybe was a cover story a child could understand, that would keep a leash on his allegiance in a foreign land without his father having to be there to reinforce it.
The Abyss order wanting to “restore” Khaenri’ah + their whole “Loom of Fate” operation feels pretty unsophisticated but only because they don’t know about Kaeya. Caribert felt like it left off in a place where a natural next step would be Kaeya being discovered, not just as an “uncursed” Khaenri’an but as a tool hidden away by the fallen monarchy by way of the regent family that was subservient to them and served in Irmin’s place.
tldr; Kaeya is a contingency plan and a USB stick, Khaenri’ah knew they would get destroyed, but a survivor insulated from the curse would have a higher chance to restore their kingdom than anybody else, including Dain and the entire Abyss Order (and maybe even the Abyss twin).

Am I the only one that thinks the Alberich clan has different factions or is divided by allegiance?
Chlothar lamented how he hated his restrictive status of nobility and he wasn't important enough to immediately recognise the traveller’s twin who had a royal title.
Then you have the likes of Anfortas who's implied to be an Alberich. He made himself regent and was of an extremely important status and didn't seek to have any allegiance with the abyss order that a member of his own clan had founded.
Kaeya’s dad also seems to have different ideals from Chlothar in the letters. Unlike Chlothar he idolises the Alberich’s status as regents which makes me think Kaeya’s lineage derives from Anfortas’ ideals and not Chlothar’s.
Also it’s interesting how Mihoyo themselves debunked the prince Kaeya theory but then also highlight Kaeya’s role of a prince and seem to emphasise it a great deal. I feel like there’s more to it and Kaeya has to be a prince in some instance. After all we know nothing about his mom which is kind of sus given his lineage is extremely important. Perhaps he descends from Irmin from his maternal lineage.
After all that would make sense as to why Kaeya’s dad is a Regent. More often than not regents are chosen among close relative of the monarch. If Kaeya’s mom was an heir to the eclipse dynasty but died and Kaeya was too young at the time to ascend the throne it makes sense as to why his paternal clan (the Alberich’s) would act as regents.

Interesting fact: the play in the hangout seems to be Siavush's story from epic - the Shahnameh. Shahnameh itself seems quite interesting if you look at names and numbers with Genshin in mind but i didn't really dug into it much beyond the hangout connection.
Also, from googling: "Afrasiab is the name of the mythical king and hero of Turan. He is the main antagonist of the Persian epic Shahnameh". So i think Shahnameh might also be one of inspirations for Khaenri'ah or maybe just Kaeya's story

    • @spieds9994
      @spieds9994 Год назад +17

To add a few interesting things i found while browsing wikis:
"Afrasiab lived in a subterranean fortress made of metal, called Hanakana" - Seems obvious to be Khaenri'ah with what we saw in 3.6 desert
"According to Shahnameh he (Afrasiab) met his death in a cave known as the Hang-e Afrasiab" - The Khaenri'ah gate viewpoint
"Kay Khosrow (Who happened to be Afrasiyab's own grandson through his daughter Farangis) killed Afrasiyab in Lake Chichast as revenge for Siavash who had been killed by Aγraēraθa, son of Naru" - This seem to connect to the play in the hangout, as it's supposed to be Siavush's story
There seems to be even more connections if you look into it
P.S. There seems to also be Rostam in all of this who has feats (well, one feat i guess) similar to Percival's from Arthurian legends. Specifically 4th labor from "Rostam's Seven Labours"

Some other things I forgor to include:
    - alejandrareyes1056 pointed this out in another comment that Kaeya's hangout seems to be a reference to Milan Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being, a novel that explicitly ties "Must it be so? Yes, so must it be!" to the concept of Eternal Return (I ended up doing exploring this more: www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Lore/comments/15fss31/kaeya_and_the_unbearable_lightness_of_being/ )
    - For the nodule called "So Must it Be?" in the Hangout Progress screen, the Storyline Summary reads: "That's Kaeya's line, by the way, not the prince's." HMMM
    - The sword he uses in the play is the Harbinger of Dawn, which is the consolation gift Kaeya gives you in the story quest looking for his grandpa's sword.
    (I'll keep adding to this)

I wanted to post that on r/kaeya mains
    Kaeyas role in tyvats play
This contains slight spoiler for kaeyas hangout pls play the first ending first
And a sectoon of his skin discription
I am sorry for my english
    In the play
Kaeya will play a prince from a nation at war w another nation and there are a lot of metaphors/refrances for/to Khaenri'ah and celestia
I want to share and discus my thought w evryone feel free to addcanything or correct mistakes i made
First i need to talk abt chess
Tyvat is a ginant chess bord
Or in kaeyas words a big stage
Chess first we know the gnosis and that celestia is the king as nahida clled the gnosis a sybol of celestias rule
We know that on the wite side are the archons and black the oposing side from the lazzo trailer i am not shur is the black side is only fatui or includes more factions
Kaeya is called a pawn yet kaeya dose not wish to be one and wishes to define fate but unlike clothar and calibert he dose not realy on the abyss as of now
But how can kaeya stop bring a pawn ?by reaching the end of the chessbord and acsending to another piace and i think that's what kaeyas father meant w last hope he was a child and not blinded by war ,destruction and hatred also in the dagger bandit play kaeya was following a light to bring it back to his lightless homeland (how conviniant that Khaenri'ah also was ubdergrund near irminsoul roots)
Kaeyas father isn't as crule as the king in the play
Witch brings me to the play
The nations do not matter what i mean is that
The same nation of the prince are both reflecting celestia and king irmin the same thay reflect both the king(pieace) is celesti and irmin
Irmin didn't seem to have an available childe so the prince coud be the albrech clan or the knight . as it's not clear if irmin died or became just to waek (idk if it's confirmed if he died) the mentor/advisor odly reminds me of pierro and the pale flame mask
My currant theory is that it's the abyss who started to plant thous seeds of hate and war king irmin was manipulated by the abyss as the stattues are suposed to be him
And the havenly princeplas fear the truth and the desttuction of forbiden knowlige to tyvat
(What's the abyss goeal ? Destruction of all tyvat ? I have to think of the battale pass and the note mentionig s kingdom even beneath that of Khaenri'ah but that's another topic)
And like in that play celestia shoud have only dealt w the abyss instad of the hole of Khaenri'ah cuz now the abyss has plenty of followers qnd who knowes who else any other friends of dain he didn't intraduce or fergott? He certaily fergott anfortas (anfortas is a schwanenritter/swan knight of Khaenri'ah who faught aginst the abyss and a relativ of kaeya who became regent possably his grandfather)
Now what dose that mean for kaeya ?
There are a few things i think might happen as of now he is avoiding his past and enjoying his life till the time commes then kaeya has the choise walk of the stage or help change the skript and make it intresting i think kaeya will chose to to hide at first but may change his mind
Monas abt kaeya"(...) destent for greatness ...one day he has a choise to make''
By fate he has a choise to make what i think is intresting and saw no one talk about HE CAN CHOSE it is his dessision he has the freedom to make a choise not orderd by fate that's what he belives to make his owen choise and not by fate
What if that choise has nothing to do with Khaenri'ah vs mondstad? But tyvat? Humanaty? If that isn't even the case let's follow kaeya and question what we knew about fate what do we actuly know ? Who us the diracor of the play we call tyvat and most importaintly WHY (set up for fontain ig)
Also there is a prophacy the translation goes like ''the young and the old of the same blood will fight only the futur can save the past''
Some speculate it's abt kaeya and Khaenri'ah other speculate on the last line some sort of time travel fix of memory irminsoul shenanigans what are ur thought ?
That's it let me know what u think
A coment i made befor the habgout
I think what kaeyas skin description says is that kaeya wishes to defy fate kaeya knowes his role as pawn ect
You coud say in a diffrent way he is trying to become his loom fo fate he can('t )betray his charackter in the play called tyvat
I think what he is trying to do is live until his past catches up to him
He wishes to give children a dream to dream that line in his skin and the resonim stuck out to me the most
''In a shltered eternaty most are content to live and not to dream but in the prepetual meantime in the hidden corners (aka Khaenri'ah) there are thous who dream of dreaming " dainsleif quest titele a dream yet to be dreamed i think unlike sumeru Khaenri'ahabs aren't able to dream at all hance the yearnig for it or it coud be more metaphorical what realaty do thay see to dream of dreaming what dream has to be dreamed
I think that's why we don't see kaeya being importaint in the story as of now not only cuz he dosen't want to but unless he dosen't absulutly have to he won't he only get's teased
Kaeya is trying to betray his charackter in a way
And i think i wasn't that far off
+we learn how he get's infomants the hangout witch is intresting to add and makes me wonder how far his conections go
I wanted to post that 5h after his hangout but didn't work so sorry for the chaos

I think the traveler is pretty much a physical manifestation of defying fate in Teyvat. If we think of Nietzche... what would he believe if new, external factors could be introduced? Perhaps the number of possibilities is still finite, but larger than before? If Kaeya is to defy fate, then perhaps the traveler's mere existence is proof enough for him to believe it's possible.

I have no clue if I have commented in this commented this in your comment section before but I will do it again because brainrot
Ok so, I'm sure we are all acquainted with Alberich from the play Nibelungenlied, the dwarf. And while we are not as acquainted with King Chlothar I think most of us are aware of him.
So, in the Nibelungenlied Alberich gets defeated by someone. Someone named Siegfried.
Now I will be calling him Siegfried here but he goes by plenty of other names as well, his most famous tale is the story of how he defeated a dragon, in some sources called Fafnir.
Like in most Germanic tales, a lot of the figures are based on real life people. And Siegfried is no different. Siegfried is inspired by Sigebert the first, or most people believe he is. Now the interesting thing about this is that Sigebert is Chlothars son.
Now Sigebert was a Frankish king who ruled over Austrasia, he had a wife named Brunhilda who was from Toledo, another name for Toledo being Tullaytullah, more connections to genshin.
Now in Nibelungenlied his wife and his brothers, Childebert wife, seem to be switched and his brother now replaced with a man named Gunther. Gunther's sister is Siegfried's wife, and another interesting thing, their half sibling from their mothers side is Hogni, who's father is the dwarf Alberich. Hogni, who is also called Hagen, is one of
the people along with Brunhild and Gunther who eventually end up k*Iling Siegfried.
And, haha, another thing about Hogni, his sword is Dainsleif in the Volsunga Saga.

    • @gayfish9238
      @gayfish9238 Год назад +2

And there’s more, specifically about Brunhilda, she might’ve been/was a Valkyrie and her story is a inspiration for sleeping beauty. Brunhilda’s brother is also traditionally Attila the Hun, and the reason her story is probably an inspiration for sleeping beauty if because Odin put her to sleep for years because she ‘disobeyed him.’. Brunhilda is also equated with the Valkyrie Sigrun. Sigrun is Hogni’s daughter, who I mentioned before. And Sigrun is Sváfa reborn and Sváfa is likely Siegfried’s maternal aunt.
Oh and the original sleeping beauty was called ‘Sun, Moon, and Talia’ and the original sleeping beauty she did have children, twins. Her children names are Sun and Moon.
And I can’t seem to find it at this moment, but there was a story that she was involved. Where there were two twins, who were separated… i’m gonna go look for it

My theory (and my hope) for how Kaeya’s defying fate will manifest in the future is that it will involve him accepting and embracing the best parts of all aspects of his heritage, and rather than picking one side over others in a conflict, he’ll focus more on making peace. It resonates with the role of Qubad and his wanting to establish peace between the warring nations, it highlights how Kaeya is at his core a kind and caring person though he doesn’t advertise it much, and it actually resonates with the prospect of defying fate and its roles while still not falling totally in line with the Abyss Order. Like, it recognizes the value in their goal to defy fate, but it doesn’t subscribe to their perpetuating yet more conflict. Because, if the inept god in charge of fate and its roles is “bent on endless warmongering”, in Kaeya’s words, than what better way to defy fate than to focus on peace instead of war?
There’s also more recent information/hinting about how the Traveler seems to have a role set up for them where they are a conduit for unifying Teyvat and something something people coming together as one, and maybe that’s representing a 3rd option for Kaeya in his inner conflict between 2 nations and that’s the “side” he chooses, because it holds the potential for defying fate through peace and unity rather than more war. But I won’t get into that because I don’t want to leave more long comments.
Excellent video and analysis as always! Kaeya is truly one of the characters ever and his hangout was such a fun time!

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, your videos are so digestible. Loving this video so much, haha!
I saw lots of people posting about Kaeya’s relevance on Reddit, and how the hangout could mean ‘the end’ for his lore, but honestly, this hangout seems to only further solidify his future importance.
I’d like to think that Kaeya will appear in another Dainsleif quest at some point, with the both of them spending more time with each other and getting to know each other a bit more, rather than another five minute guest appearance, you know?
Considering that Kaeya seems to have this whole thing about ‘defying’ fate, I wonder if he will become more involved in the Loom of Fate plan soon? Or maybe he’s already involved and we don’t know o.O
Also, (this is kind of a spoiler since this was a leak, but I’m not sure if the leak was actually a reliable one so take this with a huge grain of salt) Skirk is rumoured to appear some time during 4.X, and people think her appearance could be in the 4.X Dainsleif quest… so that’s something to look forward to. Do you have any thoughts on Skirk? I haven’t really looked into Skirk’s lore much, to be honest.
Anyways thanks for the lovely video. Betting that Fontaine will reveal more lore on Celestia, so that should make for some good theory content for you and others!

Editing to add the description of Prince Qubad's Intaglio: "...The blood-red jewel is a crystallization of the question Kaeya asked you-that age-old question about destiny. - Kaeya's monolog about players and stages ironically made me think a lot about the pierro chess game, because "the play does not end when the curtain falls"
    - Controlling luck??? FATE?????????????????? THOSE SOUND LIKE OPPOSING IDEAS
    - Imagine following the script when your kaeya could not
    - embers in the song title just gives me more connection between signora and kaeya someone help before I make a full blown essay on this topic

    Hi roozevelt! :D
I just wanted to let you know this amazing video gave me inspiration for a theory regarding the end game of Teyvat, and what EXACTLY Kaeya's father sent him to retrieve, so thank you! I also took huge inspiration from an amazing recent video by Ashikai regarding how Celestia stole Teyvat if you've watched it(Link is Here: ruclips.net/video/yKq6E3o5jsA/видео.html ). I already posted my idea on her video, but lord its so so long and I don't want to type all of that again, so I'll just copy paste it here lol(Warning: Most parts of this theory will leave you wondering what the heck I'm talking about if you have not watched the Ashikai video, and it would be three times longer if I explained her video, so I just left the link in case you want context, and for credit)
    So please hear me out!:
Hear me out: Nibelung's pearl is the thing that Kaeya's father sent him to Mondstat to retrieve and the fate of Khaenri'ah depends on it and this "loom of fate" is really Nibelung getting his body back through abyssal and spirit vein powers and the final battle will be between the Second Who Came, the Khaenri'ans and Nibelung, the Primordial One, and the Fatui.
I CAN EXPLAIN! You see, I was watching this old theory video by Roozevelt discussing the similarities between the Veluriyam mirage event and Kaeya's hangout event with Khaenri'ah's lore(Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/9l8VuXX0wH0/видео.html ). About 6 minutes in she mentions Der Ring des Nibelungen, which inspires a lot of Khaenri'ah's lore. In this story, the dwarf, Alberich, and Nibelung steals the Rhinegold from the Rhinemaidens and forges a ring of power, and the entire story revolves around the conflict of everyone trying to obtain that ring.
It has always been a mystery as to how the Alberich's rose to power. Now it is my belief that either Nibelung is the "Sinner" that converted Caribert and brought about the Alberich's reign, convincing them he has a way to save their nation, or the Sinner is someone else but they form an alliance with Nibelung later or use him somehow, but I think the first theory is more likely true. Because remember, they call their ultimate weapon *THE LOOM OF FATE!!! LOOM!!! FATE!!!* Nibelung must want to use the same strategy to take control of the world that the Primordial One used to do the same. Perhaps this "loom of fate" really refers to Nibelung's body. Or some warped, Abyssal version of it. Perhaps Nibelung has had the Alberichs/Khaenri'ans working to get Nibelung an Abyssal body, which COULD explain the warped Statue of the Seven that we find when we first meet the abyss twin. I don't think it's a far stretch, since the Gnoses were created to still be able to subdue the lands to some extent. Perhaps to make this "loom of fate" a.k.a. Nibelung, they have found a way to combine or absorb what is most likely the spirit vein energy that is in the statues of the seven to slowly create and generate enough power for the loom of fate. Now, this could be Nibelung's body or perhaps it is just an actual machine, but I think either way it will be Nibelung that will control it, thus controlling fate. The Khaenri'an people must have allied with Nibelung so Nibelung could use the power of fate to change the fate of their people, making them prosperous again and removing the curse the gods put upon them.
But... despite already having made plans to create this loom of fate hundreds of years in advance, Kaeya's father still told him that the FATE of Khaenri'ah lays in Kaeya's hands. So surely... there must be one component missing to truly complete this loom of fate? That's right... it's Nibelung's pearl, and it's in Mondstat, the nation of freedom. It's my theory that Venti is in possession of Nibelung's Pearl, but without the loom, he can't control the fate of the entire world. But... I believe that he might be able to control part of it. For I believe Venti to have a secret identity... *the Primordial One.* Or as I like to call him, the "Ehe" One.
You see, I always suspected that Venti might be the Primordial One, but this recent theory just made this theory to be more plausible. For starters, the Primordial One, or Phanes, was androgynous in appearance, and had wings and a crown, just like Venti. Although, you will notice that now Venti only has one wing, perhaps lost when I believe he lost his seat of power fighting the Second Who Came. I'm sure you know of the other things that make people believe this theory to be plausible, Istaroth residing in Mondstat, yadda yadda. So here's what I think happened: The "Ehe" One is having fun ruling over the world when the Second Who Came pops in and they fight for control. Amidst the chaos, the loom of fate somehow gets destroyed, but Nibelung's pearl remains intact. The Second Who Came wins, but the world is falling apart which neither want, so them and the "Ehe" One join forces to create the Gnoses to control the land. I also have a theory that the price vision wielders pay is that their wills are taken and put in the visions(hence why their will goes away when the vision is taken) and is used to power the Gnoses, for only will can control the ley lines, but for the sake of length I won't dive too deep into that. Anyway, they create the Gnoses, the Second Who Came becomes ruler, they compromise and the "Ehe" One gets to become the Anemo Archon. And somehow with the deal the "Ehe" One is either allowed to keep Nibelung's pearl or tricks the Second Who Came so he could keep possession of it.
But that leaves me wondering three things: Why is he the god of freedom? And if he really is the Primordial One, why did he appear to be so weak when Signora attacked him? And why does he need to hibernate so much? Well, I believe that he was able to utilize the power of Nibelung's pearl to some extent and make Mondstat free from fate, hence why it is the nation of freedom. I don't think this theory is so crazy because after all, he was the one who made the original loom of fate, making a budget loom of fate doesn't seem entirely out of the question. I think this could be why Venti seems to be so weak and hibernates so much, he is using his own power, perhaps with some technique like the Khaenri'ans are doing with their own "loom of fate", to make Mondstat free of fate entirely. Perhaps Venti was too beat up from the war or the Second Who Came took a lot of his power away which is why making a loom of fate on the same level as his previous one impossible, who knows. He uses his powers to power this loom of fate and that's why he barely has any power of his own to wield and often has to go into hibernation to regain more strength, and why he interferes in Mondstat affairs much less than other archons.
One thing I noticed that was mentioned a lot in Kaeya's play during his hangout event was "fate" and how he would defy it. He mentions how the world is a stage and people are it's players, but that he thinks people should realize that they don't have to follow the script. Fate has decided that he can either side with Mondstat, or Khaenri'ah. So perhaps how instead of resigning himself to fate and choosing a side, he pulls something out of left field. Which in Mondstat, a land free of fate, that might be possible. I always thought that Kaeya would side with Mondstat when it came time to choose, but what if his decision is crazier than that? What if he doesn't pick a side, and decides to try to save both nations? I could go on for a long time about what Kaeya's plan could be, but for the sake of length, I will again refrain.
I believe that like the opera, Der Ring des Nibelungen, the ultimate end game of this world is to get a hold of Nibelung's pearl and the winner will be able to control the world. I believe the Fatui's project Stuzha to have something to do with this. Perhaps it could be a plan to obtain Nibelung's pearl and use it to control fate or perhaps they have a different strategy to get rid of fate entire(again for the sake of length I won't talk about it more), and all the big forces of this world(well, two worlds?) are going to duke it out in the finale. I believe that the Second Who Came will obviously want this pearl but I don't know what her plan might be to utilize it, Venti(or the "Ehe" One) at the very least will want the pearl to fall in good hands, so I could either see him wanting to keep it for himself or allying with the Fatui to give it to them, or perhaps he doesn't contribute that much in the final battle because of how weak he is who knows, and Nibelung/Khaenri'ah so Nibelung can finally gain control of the world again which would not be good for anyone in Teyvat. I'm pretty confident with this theory. I highly doubt I got everything right, but I feel like this theory will hold up pretty well(God am I gonna eat my words?).
Okay, I am finally finished talking! I would love to hear anyone's comments on my theory, what you liked, if there's something you disagree with, what you think it is instead, points of my theory you could expand on, etc. I would love to hear everyone's ideas on this!

I totally agree with everything in this video! (Even the Dragon Alberich part)
I am not sure how much Kaeya know about his future, but i 100% think that he will not chose any side between Khaenriah and Mondstadt, because he obviously love both. I also think that one day, he will eventually chose to go save the savable part of Khaenriah's survivors, by breaking the curse.
Teyvat can only be saved from the revenge of the Abyss if Khaenriah is saved first after all.
Everyone want Kaeya to make a choice, Celestia (inept god) probably fated him to betray his father, and the Abyss Order (and perhaps his father too) want him to chose Khaenriah, but he won't betray any side, he won't chose war.
I don't think his father is part of the Abyss order tho, i think he is part of another group of khaenriahn survivors.

I mean, then there'd have to be multiple Alberichs, because Chlothar says he wasn't important enough to be noticed, but Anfortas was literally the second in command to Irmin. also, I personally don't think Kaeya is Caribert for a few reasons (like his dad's voice from Weinlesefest), buuut I could always be wrong!

In the Chasm's Bounty dialogue, Paimon and Traveller specifically say it sounds familiar, and it's the huge crystal they and Zhiqiong found. But it would be pretty funny (and actually plausible) if Qi Ding and Paimon&Traveller are thinking of two entirely different glowy-floating crystals and confusing them, haha. Although I think if the game really wanted to make that the case, I would have guessed they'd put this quest closer to the Caribert quest. ALTHOOOUGH... I have wondered if the whole "doorway to fears" thing in 2.7's Hidden Dreams of the Depths was related to the Sinner, too....
      So many mysteries!!!!
