both of my parents worked a LOT while I was growing up so I didn't learn a lot of meal planning/ grocery shopping tips. I didn't regularly start grocery shopping until I was about 25 years old, I am ashamed to admit I ate out a lot! now in my early 30s i cook so much, buy in bulk + avoid most prepackaged foods- saves me lots of money. thank you for the tips + for being a wise internet auntie that i can learn from. you taught this suburban white girl from California to make amazing jollof! appreciate you
Yes, growing your own food is so important. Last year I grew 90% of the potatoes we ate and many of the vegetables we ate, we grew in our little garden.
This video deserves more likes. This is the reality for so many people especially in the West. I live in the US and I realized a long time ago that a lot of what your saying was affecting my finances. I could do a lot more with my money if I didn’t eat out as much. I recently fell back in this habit again. Thank you for making this video. I think God is reminding me it’s time to stop.
It's the eating in restaurant and still getting home hungry for me🤣, so true! I always enjoy your videos @sisiyemmie. If I may, let me add a tip for those who don't like freezer food. Part of the problem is reheating over and over again. Invest in small sized microwave friendly packs so you store your food one portion per pack depending on your family size. I always pack my food so that we finish one pack when we bring it out. We reheat once and it's done. We don't reheat, keep back to reheat again. Hope that helps.
Oh wow, these are realistic and very helpful tips, that will make things easier. Plus, keep us from being broke. Nicely done Yemisi, thanks! This actually makes one feel to get their stuff together and do things better! 🛍 I appreciate the encouragement, will definitely give it my best. 🍳🍝🥘🍛
Please is this meal planner meant for an avarage nigerian family? Before I go begin see scatter parsley and basil for plate 🤦(joking)...I don't even know where to get those in this onitsha. Then for the growing your food, those of us living in rented block of flats, it means there's no hope for us, right? Or can anything be done?
