  • Well I received a phone call of a gentlemen who had a whole bunch of Jaguars for sale including 3 XJS convertibles. I just had to go and have a look as they were all reasonable bargains. Was I tempted to buy one? Of course! #barnfinds#bargains #jaguarxjs #convertibles

Brett.... happy wife, happy life ...Wait till interest rates move up some more, then these resto shops banking cars as they are will be dumping them left right and center. They're operating on credit lines longer than the eye can see.
Like myself, I have my eye on a kingfisher blue V12 xjs, but I'll wait for the price to drop to $10k 😊😊😊

The blue convertible looks to be in great shape.

The 420 is a very special car... beautiful in that colour combination and the last step to the spectacular XJ...

Hi again, shame you didn't get to sort the old girl, I normally start with sensors/under seat connectors though your module was defo fooked! Expecting delivery today of the new project, didn't even think about what diagnostic tool would work on an X300, just assumed it would be a basic OBD1 or "count the number of flashes" job, I knew my Icarsoft LR/Jag tool would come in useful.

I'm suffering a similar dillema. There is a 1988 XJ-S V12 coupe for sale in Glouster from an old fella offering it to the members of the JDCHR. It's in great condition, hardly driven, and in a maroon hue. But I've already got an '88 V12 convertible.....and the Daimler VDP. WIfe says your call, your money; with the associated Look.

Another great video, I'm genuinely thinking of buying an xjs v12 convertible any chance you could do a buyers guide? I live over here in the UK, so obviously rust is a big issue..

Yes; on the basis that you can use it often in Aus. Did you know that in Blighty we buy more convertibles than anyone else in Europe, despite not being able to use them that often.

That S Type needs a major body restoration. The rust issues are very serious. Excellent history on the blue car but missing spare tyre and right hand side hella fog light. All these XJS must be priced in the low 30s as they all need money spent to bring up to daily driver condition. I would wait for a 4 litre or 6 litre XJS with the later 4 speed transmission.

The spare was there just removed for cleaning.
You are spot on with the money!

To be honost with ya, I liked the old leader much more than the new one.
The old one was pretty unique. The new one is nothing special like generic.

I'm not a big fan of those tail lights on the boot lid. I've never noticed them on any other XJS before.

Not sure how popular XJS convertibles are to sell or repair, i'd only buy a V12 with a 4 sp. auto✌

I'd give it thinking time, wait until you come back from overseas and if they're still available start haggling for a deal while you sell a couple of others. Interest rates are still rising, people have less money so prices should drop.
