Dewalt nail gun won't sink nails home, broken pin, how to replace.

- This is a common problem for all nail guns.
A broken firing or driver blade.
This can happen if you hit a screw underneath or hit concrete. The tip or whole pin can snap.
They can also bend, meaning the pin won't retract after firing or keeps jamming nails.
Either way a new pin is needed.

Amazes me you know the procedure to strip/repair rebuild inside out on different tools , I always end up with extra screws or parts if I try to fix any my tools 😂
My first time seeing this channel. No idea why RUclips recommended it, but glad they did!
It definitely gave me a little anxiety watching him pull parts and screws without noting where they belong lol
id suspect he uses the pause and rewind feature somtime to see where a bit came from, lol
Free screws is always a perk
Made it look so simple and done fast.
Amazing
Whenever I use a rag in a vise it doesn't grip well, turns out I should spend the extra on a tartan cloth.
Great video. Thank you sir. 👌
Thank you, your videos are amazing

Work it‼️👍🏻👍🏻
What would the problem be, if it doesn't fire nails at all ?
@deandohertygreaser Any ideas on why dewalt framing nailer dcn692 type 3 wont fire if gun is upside fown shooting upwards but is fine pointing down?
Hi. I have a hitachi 1/2 router and the grey plastic speed dial is loose and makes it lose power. I have to wedge something in there to make it work properly. Have you done one of these? Thanks
Depending on the model, the speed controler can be expensive. Try clean the pot with contact cleaner, and wedge the wheel at the speed you want permanently. If this dose not work, you can also remove the speed controler and wire the motor direct toothed switch. But this would leave it running full speed permanently
Hi mate, I’ve got one that does something similar, mine sort of cut out and loses power just after I pull the trigger and leaves the nail sticking out quite far, the gun still charges up fine like it should just before firing but when I pull trigger that happens, any ideas on what it could be, cheer
It could be a few things. 1 oil in the gun, 2 broken springs, 3 a bent firing pin
Can you use any pin or has it got to be specifically for the model of gun
what a disaster of a machine. we generaly only recommend the dtm50 and dtm51. no need for the star lock. Paying extra for nothing.
Dean I have the Dewalt framing nailer dcn692 and it works absolutely fine unless its held upside down (firing upwards) it just clicks when the trigger is pulled any ideas?
I have the same problem did you ever find out what was wrong?
@paddy6859 yes, took it it for repairs cost around £80 I can't remember what the part was called though I'm afraid so not helpful at all

Thanks anyway for replying
@paddy6859 all I can tell you is I replaced the spring and firing pin myself but that didn't work so took it into a repair shop
