I've seen 'Black Cat Bone' done many MANY times but this... ...This was the baddest ass rendition EVER ...and Matt's look ain't the only thing that is SLICK ...'cause this whole show was Slick City! Thanx datflys
33 only/Lonely comments! Hard to believe. But I suppose that's the Blues, even if it's one of the very smoothest sounds there in. Thanks Matt and gang, you help me more than you know. If only ya'll could get BIG PHARMA prices for the great vodoo medicine dishing out here😁
1:40-1:53 That is masterful musicianship. The drums continued the push, bass caught on and started playing octaves while moving up and down in semitones between the root and 2nd. Drums and bass then do a cool transition together into the 4 chord. Groove returns to what it was before. This was probably planned in rehearsals but it's still really cool.
“….masterful musicianship.”… Right on, Max!! I can tell you personally, as the guest vocalist that evening… This was the first time this ensemble ever played together; no rehearsal… just straight fire from the downbeat. And some of the guys met for the very first time at soundcheck that day. Top shelf artistry, chemistry and communication… 🔥🔥🔥 I wish you could’ve been there to hear it live. It was truly thunderous.
@@christinetambakis9409 I just love seeing the two drummers talking to each other the entire time as well Matt calling the changes for everyone to hear.
Thanx for playing some other staff than those your old ones and and those are good ones so don`t get me wrong but i love you`re playing and like to see you moore. THANX.
Of all the uploads this channel has of Matt, this is definitely the best. He's absolutely on fire in this.
One of the best guitar sounds in the blues !

What a fat&thick bridge pickup. Yep, ‘61 is the proper vehicle to play that kind of stuff.
