    Matt, Josh, Gutrie , Eric, Kirk.....they're on another galaxy.
    Incredibly humble people, really the blue collar musicians.
    Thank you for the pleasure.....

    I love the way Matt is talking about finding colors or sounds on the guitar instead of applying scales (around 6:45).
    This interview is really valuable. Thanks True Fire.

    For me this are one of the best words and sentences spoken of creating music... sounds... colours. What a present! I.m nearly 70yo, but for heavens sake, this is a new portal I can step in! It enriches my guitar experience in miles!
    Thx so much to Matt and True Fire!!! KR Henry (Germany) 💥✌
    PS: The mod should give more space for Matt talking.

    I thing that was “Flirting with the blues” in De Flint in Holland, where Matt talks about. I was there😎. Or maybe De Vorstin in Hilversum,…nono…that was met the dudes from King of the World as accompanying band! I love Matt’s music very much and his colourfull playing. So recognizing! 🤘🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    add 1: Can anybody help me, what Matt means exactly with "the pillars of creation" 15:10. I have a foggy idea, what he could mean, but maybe someone of the swarm knows more (hine knowledge)? Thx@all!

    Nice one! Matt is a beast. He really understands harmony. Once your ear gets hooked on him, it's hard to just accept playing the wrong notes over chords!
    As he said, it's rarely outside notes! They're inside notes! I doubt you'll hear a minor 3rd being played over a major chord with Matt!

    • @Manalishi32

      I doubt you’ll hear any pro playing a minor third over a major chord lol

    • @bf2err

      Sure you do. But only to lead up to the maj 3

    • @jasonkeith9317
      @jasonkeith9317 2 года назад +1

      It depends on if ur playing blues or not. The blues IS the sound of the minor third played against the major third. It is essential to the sound of the blues.

    • @Stevewatson3
      @Stevewatson3 2 года назад +2

      To anyone who’s wondering this if you hit a minor 3rd and don’t squeeze it it’s not “sounding the blues” it can be a cheeky passing note but generally is harmonically incorrect this is why we squeeze it sharp to in fact be a major 3rd no? The squeezing of this note is a staple to blues.

    How are all these obvious Strat copies not copy right infringement ?

    • @gookiecrunch
      @gookiecrunch 5 лет назад +1

      Strats arent copywritten just the headstock.. same reason ibanez prs and others can make les paul copies

    • @gookiecrunch
      @gookiecrunch 5 лет назад +1

      Plus the "boutique" strats can be customized to your own individuality.. like mine has nearly a baseball bat neck.. cause the thin fenders hurt my hands otherwise.
