    The Green Bay Packers have been one of, if not the most interesting team in the NFL over the course of this entire 2023-2024 season. Because in a season filled with ups, downs, and just about everything in between, Matt LaFleur, Jordan Love & company have defied all odds to fight their way to a 2024 NFL playoffs berth vs the Dallas Cowboys. But in terms of how they made it to this point, the NFL isn’t too fond of what they are doing.
    Let’s start with the Green Bay Packers offense. It’s no secret that Jordan Love is arguably playing the best football of any quarterback in the league, but it’s not just him. The evolvement & use of their young rookies & WRs in guys like Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath, Tucker Kraft, Luke Musgrave, Bo Melton, on top of their top pieces in Christian Watson & Romeo Doubs, the pass and the run game thriving with Aaron Jones returning from injury alongside AJ Dillon, there isn’t an answer to their two-way threat.
    Then when you’re talking about the Packers defense, it definitely needs some improvement to say the absolute least. But in terms of what Packers HC Matt LaFleur has done on offense to compliment the defense and DC Joe Barry, pieces like Rashan Gary, Lukas Van Ness, Jaire Alexander, De’Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Carrington Valentine, etc, the way this team is operating on both sides of the ball, we’re gonna have to wait and see if anyone can put a stop to this run in the 2024 NFL playoffs, including the Dallas Cowboys on Wild Card Weekend.
    This video includes 2024 Green Bay Packers highlights, also including topics like Green bay packers 2024, packers vs bears, green bay packers chicago bears, packers bears highlights, jordan love packers highlights, jayden reed packers, romeo doubs highlights, packers injury news, love packers, jordan love highlights, aaron jones packers, dontayvion wicks packers highlights, packers news today, packers interview, matt lafleur interview, jordan love interview, christian watson injury news, packers full game, packers live, packers bears reaction, packers cowboys preview, gb packers preview, packers practice, packers vs cowboys, packers reaction, packers offense, packers vs bears reaction, packers live stream, packers song, packers hype, packers first take, packers epsn, packers undisputed, packers bo melton highlights, packers news today, etc, which I do not own ANY of the rights to whatsoever, as these are intended to be used under the guidelines of fair use through RUclips.

      Exactly what was pointed out in this video. The way he learned to weaponize his o-line, TE, and recievers for blocking. It is the game within the game I didn't see from him in prior games to this year in KC and Philly that made me cautious to believe he was the guy.

      @fugginrambo 4 месяца назад +6

      @@brianhomka290Well said, Aaron is definitely a very smart guy. But he would get pissy if a receiver dropped 1 pass then decide not to throw the ball to that receiver for the rest of the game to teach them a lesson. He'd get that look on his face and you just knew he'd hold a grudge that would go into the next week. He felt bigger than the team and checked the ball out of bounds a lot.

  • @canoli62
    @canoli62 4 месяца назад +19

    one thing everyone seems to be overlooking about the Packer's development on offense is the simple improvement of the receivers. Since week 9, the amount of dropped passes has dropped through the floor. Its a lot easier to have a good passer rating when your receivers actually catch the ball when it hits their hands. Even more importantly, it took quite a while before they got their routes in their head. You can watch through the early games in the series and time after time it is evident that 1 or more receivers was not on the same page as Love. If you're expecting a down and out, you throw the ball and the receiver curls in, it is irrelevant how well you've thrown the ball. Part of this is communication, which has clearly improved, and part of it is just practice and repetition.

    Didn't dare hope that JLove's growth would be so dramatic. Really feared we'd spend most of the season watching the equivalent of that '21 game against KC, and we HAVE had sightings of that player this season. But if you look over the body of work from beginning to end this year the progression is what jumps out. From this vantage point it's clear he's methodically marched from decided second stringer to elite NFL QB.

      Think the biggest thing for me that didn’t have me concerned that it was gonna be a season of the 21 game was the Philly game in 22. The poise and calmness you saw in him vs 21. I knew something had changed and from the mental side of it he was gonna be better off than 21. I didnt however expect him to perform this well and this calm. If there is one thing I’ll say about Love is he looks more poised than some guys who have been I. The league longer than him or have more playing time under their belts. Ironically there is nothing to not Love about Love, sure he’s had his bumps in the road this season as you pointed out, but I feel like the signs have been there and pointing to him playing well. Didn’t expect it to be this good though and this soon!

    • @raheppe
      @raheppe 4 месяца назад +1

      It's the play calling and offensive design. There is a reason the Shanahan coaching tree of Kyle, McVay, LaFleur, McDaniels, the dude for the Bengals (Zach Brown, I think) and the Texans coordinator have all had success no matter who their qb is. They find out what they are good at, they design plays around that. The exception was Rodgers, he is good at everything and he actually implemented his ideas with Lafleur. They tried running a lot of that early this season but Love can't stretch the field with a seam or 9 route, he misses constantly. So he built it around things he does well. He has added wrinkles that he never used before. He uses a te in motion where the ball is snapped while the te is still moving, a copy of his buddy McDaniel and what he does with Tyreek Hill. This is a brilliant coach, but yes, Love is playing well. He's just gotta throw to open dudes though, haha. I don't think he's thrown a single player open all year or hit a tight window over 20 yards. There might be a few, but it ain't common. I compare his skill set to Goff (he happens to play for another brilliant play caller that also designed an offense to cater to Goff because he struggles with the exact same stuff).

    • @raheppe
      @raheppe 4 месяца назад +1

      I stand corrected. Stafford is also elite and I am certain he has incorporated his ideas with McVay. Stroud is likely also elite IMO but doesn't have experience to do that. So, out of all the success that those guys have had, they've only ever coached two elite qb's. That's it. Love is not elite, he can't 'make all the throws'. These coaches have success because they are brilliant at scheming. Love's best ability then is to not force much of anything and to protect the ball while operating the great play calling. Lafleur found what throws he is accurate and will let rip and how to clear it out so there are clear lanes for him or he won't throw it.

    It’s been a crazy ride as a Green Bay fan this season but man has it become a fun one! Seeing improvement from nearly every single player on the offensive side is just incredible. I remember early on there were talks that GB might need to get a WR in round 1 next year (even I was thinking it to some extent), but now there are 5 guys on roster who could all be quality starters and have been playing like them (Watson, Doubs, Reed, Wicks and melton, even Malik Heath an UDFA this year is contributing in a positive way) and the craziest part is, is that their all first and second year guys. Give credit to MLF and Love, but what’s happening with the growth and development of this young core is something that has never been done or seen before. Not to mention then Tuckers Krafts absurdly rapid development, musgrave kept getting better and better each week before he got hurt, Ben Simms another rookie UDFA has provided a positive impact. Zach Tom has solidified himself as the future RT. Rasheed Walker who was a 7th round pick in 2022 has been very productive and I think is the LT of the future in GB. The defense pains me, but with a plethora of picks and a hope for a new DC next year thinks could change in a heart beat. To sum everything up and I apologize for the essay, but from a player development standpoint, this season has gone past what was originally considered best case scenario, it’s absolutely phenomenal and has been fun to watch.

      I would perfer to trade for a wr although we lack star power so it would definitely have to be during free agency or have to give up draft picks, the whole thing about our team is that we're young adding a vet wr could build everyone around him and be productive instead of adding another rookie that may take more time to develop

    • @josephlaeger6473
      @josephlaeger6473 4 месяца назад

      @drewreview2499 If the Packers deemed getting a vet wasn’t needed this year, why would they deem it necessary to acquire one next year? This team may not have a “star” yet but they have 3 players in my mind who have that potential in Wicks, Reed, and Watson. Then the problem too if you’re going to sign or trade for a “star” you’re going to give assets up in the draft that you’re going to NEED for defense, and then in both situations you’re going to have to pay them star money which is just going to handcuff roster building at position of actual need.

    Biggest surprise? This guy’s arm is so strong and his accuracy has gotten so precise that it’s like he’s throwing a baseball. Amazing how well he throws even still moving backwards. Btw, my daughter lived right across the hallway in the dorms at USU and says he’s a really solid, nice, respectful young man.

      Sometimes your better off not having a dominant #1. Samething happened after Sharpe got hurt and was gone. Spreading the ball around is under rated.

      @@peteasmann8269I’ve always said since Sharpe got hurt that Favre became a better one because of that. I was at Sterling’s last game and man Brett just took off after that

    Most surprising facet to this offense is how the youngest team in the NFL can have the mental fortitude to come back from a 3-6 season. 🤯 Absolutely mind blowing that a team of guys under the age of 25 can not only bounce back and win a couple games, but genuinely believe that they belong in the playoffs.

    These numbers are just WAGs cause I don't have the time to look up every teams wr Corp. One thing I think makes gb hard to scheme against and it's how I would make an ideal team is you have 4-5 guys all with really similar yards, yards per catch, and targets, TDs. Rather than a dedicated wr1 with an average 30-50% production drop off to wr2.

    Jordan Love’s improvement reminds me of Jalen Hurts improvement in 2022-23 season
