I had on Fox national weather... your Radars are better than a national news service and you are literally 5 minutes ahead on every tornado announced ! What do tornadoes moving 60 or 70 Mi an hour or more, the 5 minutes ahead how many lives are saved by watching you ! Every person who lives in a tornado area in America that watches his channel needs to tell all their friends and relatives about your RUclips page because literally those 5 minutes could save their lives ! You are an outstanding human being and you should be looked at as a National Treasure ! Keep up the good work brother

    As a survivor of the Palm Sunday tornado outbreak in 1965 I am so thankful for the Y’all Squad and the modern technology that allows you to give out such precise information. When we were hit in ‘65 we had a very generic warning about 30 seconds before the tornado struck and turned everything into unrecognizable debris. We had some serious injuries in our family but no deaths. But a neighbor across the highway from us was killed. As frightening as these storms are, at least in this age we usually have ample warning, due in no small part to Ryan and the crew.

    • @theresemalmberg955
      @theresemalmberg955 29 дней назад +9

      I'm another one who was affected by Palm Sunday '65 though not to the same extent as the folks who were actually hit. It really did seem like those storms came out of nowhere. That is because while the weather people did know in advance that an outbreak was likely it was their policy at the time not to mention these things. Unbelievable today, but true back then. It wasn't until after Palm Sunday that the current system of watches and warnings went into effect and sad to say, it was directly because so many people died in that outbreak. I remember my dad shouting "it's going over the house!" and practically throwing us into the basement where we huddled not knowing what was going to happen next. Ever since then I take tornado watches and warnings VERY seriously and I don't wait until the phone alert or the siren goes off. I watch either Ryan or Michigan Storm Chasers and when they say that a storm is approaching certain towns well downwind, I am headed for my safe spot. If it fizzles out well I can always go back home but if it doesn't (and the last time it didn't!) then I am already in my safe spot.

    Ryan and squad and all who donated--THANK YOU from Iowa. It got a little crazy yesterday, but when my weather radio and phone alerts went off, I already knew where they were at, thanks to you! My TV and internet both went down during the warning and my phone alerts just said tornadoes (2 separate warnings) in my area-take cover and then it went dark outside, so I couldn't see crap. It always amazes me how dark it can get so quickly and then the sunshine and blue skies return just as fast. It didn't come down until it was a few miles past my house thankfully.

We were camping and as things got dicey, we got prepared. 👍 We ended up in a safe room for the state park and took you with us. Because of watching you, my husband and oldest son watched the Radar Omega app and knew how to spot the tornado that was said to be heading towards our campground. They saw the tornado coming, but thankfully it never dropped to the ground as it went over us... literally.

    I remember the last couple of years, it seemed like Ryan's channel was live regarding tracking severe storms once in a while, at least that's what I noticed. But this year it seems like he's live every single day. It's sad but I really respect his channel and team for all the work they do. I live in rural Northern Illinois so it seems like I've been glued to this channel almost every single day. It's been a frightening storm season this year. My town had some really horrible wind damage. I had some siding ripped off my garage and several very old trees were uprooted and landed on people's homes and in the street blocking the roads.
