Chetna, I've enjoyed following you for over 7 years, I have your books and love watching your recipes. Absolutely love this new video, chickpeas are an absolute star ingredient in my house too. Amazing ideas as usual cannot wait to try this houmous, never made my own! :)
Wonderful. As a vegetarian I eat a lot of pulses, especially chickpeas. Mainly for their high protein content and other healthy qualities. But they are also delicious, versatile and easy to cook with. Four great and simple recipes, I especially like the salad and chat because I haven't made something like these before.
Chetna, you are wonderful! Everything you make is fabulous! You were my favorite contestant on the GBBS! The season you were on was the best one, imo. I have made your veggie raised pie from the show numerous times. I don’t watch anymore, sigh. I’m going to make your humus today as soon as my homemade chick peas thaw. Love the onion addition! BTW, folks - it’s easy to cook dried chick peas & freeze in 2 cup containers - MUCH better quality than store bought.
kia ora Chetna, i cooked the chickpea chaat recipe tonight after work and it is absolutely beautiful ❤ warm, nourishing, just really lovely 🙂 thank you for these wonderful recipes. i love chickpeas too. from NZ 🌞
These are all delicious thank you Chetna, the only thing I would do differently is add fresh chopped coriander and fresh mint to the salad to zing it up xx ❤❤
My favorite side condiments when I make chicken curry with naan, or schwarma is to airfry the chickpeas till crispy with madras curry powder or idli/dosa chutney powder and use some of the chickpea water to make vegan mayonnaise sauce with lemon and garlic.
Can't wait to try these recipes, especially the curry. Love chickpeas, spinach and curry. I loathe cucumber though. I love everything else in the salad so I might just try that without the cucumber. Maybe substituting courgette would work. 🤔
Yeah, Chetna! I just cooked up a batch of chick peas and was wondering what I might do with them. Your video is SO timely. Will be making the salad today to go along with some veggie chile. Will need to pick up a bag of Bombay mix to make the chaat recipe. Thank You!!!!
hard to get some of those ingredients here in Zambia but going to make that chaat as soon as possible! and making the salad tomorrow in the meantime lolol
Thank you for more delicious recipes. The "Bombay Mix" is not easy to find here in Texas. At Amazon one 11 oz bag is over $14 dollars. Do you have suggestions for substitutions?
Not certain if you were aware, but there appears to be technical hiccup @ 09:37 into the video. Also, I've made the salad you posted for tea, and absolutely agree it was amazing.
I love onion , garlic and chickpeas so I’ll definitely try your recipes. How long can they keep in the fridge Chetna , especially the hummus ? Thank you fir another great video ❤

Can I swap the 200ml water in the spinach & chickpeas for either: veg stock, chicken stock &/or coconut milk?
I don't see why not!
yes

4-5 days of hummus in the fridge
@@FoodwithChetna thank you Chetna
What was drizzled on at the end of the hummus? After the reserved chickpeas and onions.
chilli oil
@@FoodwithChetna Thanks!!! 🙂
Can you please cook something with beetroot?? X
yes I have a couple of recipes with beetroot on my channel
👍👍👍👍
🙏🏽
In Germany when you buy chickpeas, there are different qualities. I bought often chickpeas, they where hard in the tins 😅
Try the ones that come in big jars instead.
@@starlinguk thanks,i'll try
oooh no
No canned beans here. Freshly cooked so much better!
go for it
Do we have Bombay mix in the United States? 😂
I am sure you have 😂
8-10 minutes to caramelise onions? I can hear the cooking subreddit screaming from here. 😂
Anyway, thanks for the recipes, they look amazing.
I do say the correct time, believe it if you like or dont 😂
