Twice in this game have I failed escort missions...because I literally fell asleep during the mission. I'm too old and too stoned to be doing such boring missions.
My favorite part about this mission for me was, after I stole the plans for the Jedi Starfighter from Vader, I went right back to the Rebels... and Darth Vader literally put out a bounty for my head. For the entire rest of my time playing Star Wars Galaxies, Player Bounty Hunters would try and kill me to fulfill the bounty on me. It was awesome. It actually made flying from starsystem to starsystem a bit more interesting, because a PC trying to kill you is quite a bit more challenging then AI ships, and I'd get one or two almost every day. The fact that the game had Vader put a bounty on me after taking those plans and going to the rebellion was a brilliant addition to the game, IMO. Just fantastic. Of course, by the time I got those plans, I'd finished my master pilot missions at least 4 times, and I'd been doing PVP ship to ship combat in our "monday night fights" for months. There weren't any player bounty hunters who were skilled enough pilots to challenge me. I think there were only about four pilots in our "Galaxy" that were a decent fight for me by then, and about a dozen more who could beat me 1 time in 5 or so... and none of them were Bounty Hunters. So that particular bounty never went away, since I none of the bounty hunters that came after me ever managed to kill me. But it did spice up my travels quite a lot! (I was also a 90th level Jedi specialized in defense, so during the few times bounty hunters found me on land, I also always managed to survive, although THOSE fights tended to be quite a bit harder).
I know this is quite an old video but there are some things about the Jedi Starfighter JSF for short in this game people should know. The deed is tradable but you need to have gotten to the space mission at least in order to redeem it, but that does mean you don't need to finish the space part of the quest to use it either. Once Vader gives you the fighter you can quit and go back to Rebels or Neutral. In regards to why this ship is seen as cheap in space PVP, it is because the mass is ridiculously high for a ship that small. It has one of the smallest profiles in the game yet it has a mass almost as big as an X-Wings. The JSF has 90K mass a normal X-Wing has 100K mass. To put that into comparison the A-Wing which is the closet ship in the game to the JSF in terms of hitbox/profile has 65K mass.
I've just started on Legends this weekend and loving it so far. This ship looks amazing and I'd love to have one for myself. However I'm a Reb. Is it possible to switch to Imp, complete the questline and then switch back to Rebel or will I no longer be certified to use the ship? Cheers for your help in advance.
I really want this ship, however I’m rebel. When I leave the rebel faction, can I instantly join the imperials or do I have to do something before joining them?
I think there is a timer before you can join the other faction but not sure exactly how long. If you've been doing any Imp killing you'll probably have negative faction also which you'll have to work off with missions for the Imperials.
Try messing around with the mouse sensitive and cursor deadzone - if you can find a balance there it should get easier if you're using mouse and keyboard.

They are infuriating! I can't think of any game in which they're enjoyable...can anyone think of an example?
I was always partial to the Royal Interceptor myself but really liked the Jedi Starfighter as well.
i loved the sound of how the jedi interceptor made when it flew
Me too!
Keep'em coming! These videos are priceless for newbies or those of us coming back after a decade! Thanks for doing what you do!
Didn't mention that if you switch from Rebel, you'll need to regrind your Pilot profession to be able to use the ETA-2 as a Rebel. Kind of a drag.
Yeah, whenever you drop a pilot profession you lose certification for all your ships. I guess I assumed that was common knowledge.

Glad you showcased this. I love my JSF and occasionally hunt Corvettes in it for fun.
It's a great ship! I love the design and the nippiness (is that even a word?!)
@@napyet hell yeah it's a word. That ship is nippy af.
God I remember when this came out and you had to do it. That space mission was difficult
Good seeing you in DWB man. I hope it was bountiful for you.
No drops this time! Bah. Did you have any luck?
@@napyet Nah. None. But I pulled out early for a Hoth run.
With space combat working I may have to download this. I miss taking out the Decimator

Yep, you can switch back and still pilot it.
@@napyet Cheers. I know what my week's going to consist of, then. 👍
@@jamesmcnevin5562 did it reset your progress with reb pilot skill when you left and rejoined?
i remember my JSF , not the most powerful but fun to pilot
"vulnerable to buzz droids" :D :D
Arf arf!
You can also target Vader if you type / tar Vader or Darth Vader one of the other
Don't worry if you're rubble you can get the grievous fighter or the advance x-wing is just as good as that I start fighter
I think they need to make the jedi starfighter available for both factions
Anyone have a link to a good equipment loadout for this ship?
Is it possible to get the jedi starfighter without being imperial?
Can the rebel side use this ship, I earned it as an imp but want to go back rebel!
can you do a guide for the advanced x-wing? i know its in the game but i have no idea how to get it
I'll look into it Exile - I'm not sure if I have any characters ready to do it
This ship needs MORE MASS it would be worth it with more (i'm going to get the advanced x-wing)
so I will also need to rank up as an imperial pilot as well to be able to take on the space mission correct?
What level do you need to be?
Can someone tell me the best way to level as a jedi after level 28? I am stuck and have no more quests really. Is mission terminals the only way?
Have you done the Legacy quest series? That should take you up to your 40s
How does the Jedi Starfighter compare to the A-wing? I'm thinking I might like it better due to no Droid chatter lol
I believe at 90k mass it has more room for components. I haven't flown my A-Wing for a while but it feels just as manoeuvrable to me.

Napyet ok cool, and does it affect the main story line and quests?
Can you do this quest multiple times?
How do you fly so good? My ship just flops all over whenever I move the mouse and it's unplayable. Can't win any battles...
