In regards to Smuggler, a couple of notes: - They have added spice crafting and slicing back in, and even expanded on them. The spice crafting introduced what is essentially an entirely new farming crafter profession, though not in the traditional sense of it being a profession you choose. - Underworld faction for Smuggler is actually very important to do, as the innate armor bonuses are actually meaningful. There are some advanced things you can do by having those innate armor bonuses but best not to worry about that when selecting a class. It's more for min/maxing once you get to doing higher end content. - Smugglers actually rely on a buff that, at max level, boosts your pistol/melee damage by 12%, but to use this buff you have to consume one illegal pistol module, which are obtained from either underworld smuggling missions or some space content. Because of these things Smuggler actually requires a bit more setup than other classes might, so I wouldn't recommend starting with Smuggler unless you just really love the class fantasy of it. They don't require quite as much setup as Jedi, for example, but it's still something to note.

There are places to get the .iso files. The game is abandonware, nobody sells it (first party, only used copies), so you aren't stealing from anyone. You're essentially downloading backups of your discs.
In my experience Combat Ent isn't really that great for PvE. It's best in PvP. I think it has access to something silly like five or so different stun attacks. I didn't play around too much with it, but I'm sure there's potential to stun lock people in PvP with enough practice. Spy is another great one if you're looking for the old TKA flavour. Again, Spy is another one that's great in PvP, but they are also highly sought after in PvE.
Você precisa comprar o jogo ou ir online para baixá-lo, então você tem que ir a um dos sites lendas para poder usar esse lançador e entrar nos servidores de fãs.
I’m really want to get into this game because it looks like nothing I’ve ever played before, but I don’t really have the money to be spending on things like this rn. Would pirating this game be such a bad idea?
Go to the Star Wars Galaxies Legends Reddit, look at the side bar and it links a torrent/download. Download it, mount and install and then down the SWGLLauncher from the SWG:L website under ‘Getting Started’.
My understanding is technically the game is abandonware. Even though the Star Wars franchise is owned, nobody actually owns SWG anymore, nobody sells it first party, so "acquiring" the .iso files is what most people do. Nobody sells it (other than used copies and unopened boxes that someone had stashed away for years) so you aren't stealing from anyone. It's one of those weird grey areas.
You can be a Dark Jedi as mentioned, which has most of the generic Dark Side powers, and you can align with the Empire. The old Republic has Sith if you want an MMO, but the game is not a sandbox like SWG.
I miss the OG game pre CU back when the game was out for the first two dlcs. Then they realized that terrible combat upgrade and NGE and the game lost its player base and myself lost my love for the game. 😢
You say it's a shame that we don't have more choices for our characters. But, if we could stack all skills on any character, there would be one that's better than all the rest and everyone would play that character and there's no balance. So, I don't consider that a shame at all. I much prefer balance to an OP character that can do everything.
all before NGE was complicated nerd-stuff, that only these people liked who had no other private life and too much time to research. post-NGE was perferct for players with less time, who wanted to see some good results within a few weeks. Not everyone wants to waste his full spare time into an online game bro
Care to elaborate? It’s free to play so not sure it can technically be a waste of money. Waste of time is completely subjective, I’ve heard people say all video games are a waste of time, however even with that mindset I still find the community and game to be entertaining at least.

On a Nerfed NGE sever :pfft , lets see how well you do on a real SWG CU+JTL server :) jj
Disagree with the entertainer not being competitive in PvP. I like to distract and mesmerize with my dance moves in combat. The enemies stop and watch...cheer/clap for me. Then a spy or someone kills them. Works every time. lol jk
I remember in the original SWG Combat Medics were scary hood.
Yeah I ran cm rifleman
I have a tanky level 50 bounty hunter, who fights with a staff... he is a strange guy
Is there a swg legends pre nge version available?
Swg EMU, I guess.
were can i get this game
Do you know if the devs plan to increase the character limit (up from 5) anytime soon?
Still no plans right now, according to the last time someone asked them in their newsletter
@@napyet Where do we find their newsletter? Also, so it looks like they went with the 9 professions instead of the initial 32 or 33? You know what the decision was behind going that route?
@@arillwiltker that's due to the NGE, not a Legends thing
@@daniels4385 yeah, since making that post I found out there were other emulators besides SWGEmu that's where my confusion was, that was the only one I knew of last time I had heard anything (admittedly that was quite a bit ago). I didn't care for the NGE that's when I saw all the people I knew in the game leave originally...and so I was left by myself and eventually left, as well. But I do LOVE JTL so I think I'd be willing to deal with the NGE change (I really miss my TKM/Doctor) if I get to mess around with JTL again. Hopefully all the same ground missions are still there to tie into JTL (to get all the special ships and whatnot) and now Bespin is looking pretty sweet too! I'm really itching to get back in!
now we have 5
I cant register an account in the legends site
I put all the info like email username etc. Press register and nothing happens and no verification email
Help
I had this exact same problem. My main email is a Yahoo account (yes I know) and I wasn't getting the verification email for like two weeks but then I changed my email on the forums to my gmail and got the verification email instantly
@@ortoacademy1019 I used Yahoo until 2018 mate. No need to feel shame here.
@@ortoacademy1019 I manage to create an account but i can't play it very much :c
@@MultiMetalsnake Don't have the time?
Can this game be played in 2024 ?
Are there any swg servers that have the game before the changed everything and added the classes. The original game
yeah search for SWGEMU
Swg restoration
I wish i could play this, cant find my old discs and cant find any for cheap in my area.
Check SWG reddit for how to download
There are places to get the .iso files. The game is abandonware, nobody sells it (first party, only used copies), so you aren't stealing from anyone. You're essentially downloading backups of your discs.
I wish the UI was scaleable
It is isn't it?
The mini map and the boxes are scalable but the text isn't unless you mod it
Ctr+mouse wheel iirc
I miss TKM/BH in the old system. I have an Master Ent and tried unarmed but still to weak for PVE on Legends...
Yup, it's a shame :( I wish they'd buff the drama skills.
@@Bobo56Bear what server?
In my experience Combat Ent isn't really that great for PvE. It's best in PvP. I think it has access to something silly like five or so different stun attacks. I didn't play around too much with it, but I'm sure there's potential to stun lock people in PvP with enough practice.
Spy is another great one if you're looking for the old TKA flavour. Again, Spy is another one that's great in PvP, but they are also highly sought after in PvE.
Do I have to buy the game to play? It’s insanely expensive!
no just search the iso of the game (on reddit for example) and add the swg legends launcher (and hit settings). started today ^^
Really wish we had the revamped and on playstation
Can you make a video in hoth😁 jedi

All y'all people commenting about pre NGE and this video is literally about the NGE version
I’m really want to get into this game because it looks like nothing I’ve ever played before, but I don’t really have the money to be spending on things like this rn. Would pirating this game be such a bad idea?
My logic is that no one is profiting off this game anymore since officially it’s shut down. So I feel it doesn’t matter.
It's one of those weird grey areas.
lol the spies gun being exposed is such a turn off to me
This was literally the update that ruined the game and made everyone a jedi. Why is this the version we are playing?
Can you be a sith?
watch the video
You can be a dark jedi. Thats as close as you're going to get since there can only be two sith in the timeline and the player characters arnt it.
You can be a Dark Jedi as mentioned, which has most of the generic Dark Side powers, and you can align with the Empire. The old Republic has Sith if you want an MMO, but the game is not a sandbox like SWG.
"Who doesn't want to play a Jedi?"
Me.
Weird
I miss the OG game pre CU back when the game was out for the first two dlcs. Then they realized that terrible combat upgrade and NGE and the game lost its player base and myself lost my love for the game. 😢
Most fun class in SWG Legends server isn't Jedi
oh NGE.
thanks for showing me how not worth it SWG legends is
You say it's a shame that we don't have more choices for our characters. But, if we could stack all skills on any character, there would be one that's better than all the rest and everyone would play that character and there's no balance. So, I don't consider that a shame at all. I much prefer balance to an OP character that can do everything.
There are no classes, there are professions.
Why should anyone play SWG-NGE it was crap? Pre-CU was the ONLY SWG.
all before NGE was complicated nerd-stuff, that only these people liked who had no other private life and too much time to research.
post-NGE was perferct for players with less time, who wanted to see some good results within a few weeks.
Not everyone wants to waste his full spare time into an online game bro
Real answer! NONE! play the SWG pre CU and be what ever you want to be ( minus Jedi )
where is rifle/sniper/marksman where are guides for the real game man
Are you TRYING to turn me off this game? Lol.
Go play your pre NGE andy
NONE,
Legends is a complete waste of time and money on every level.
Care to elaborate? It’s free to play so not sure it can technically be a waste of money. Waste of time is completely subjective, I’ve heard people say all video games are a waste of time, however even with that mindset I still find the community and game to be entertaining at least.
@@jensn6490 I'm guessing he's a pre-NGE Andy. The game is officially dead, and so should people's 17+ year opinions. The post-NGE game actually makes the game more accessible to the modern mmo player and has it's place, and It must seeing how Legends has the highest population. SWGemu is pre-NGE I believe. The choice exists. There is no need to bash any of them. Play what you want.
@@Demane69 lul pre-NGE Andy....says the fool who loves the mess that killed the game....400k Subs down to 100k or less in 5 months. What a great winning game! You are right, the NGE did make the game more accessible! It shut down over half the servers so the little amount of people left could all be together!
Anyone else annoyed hes showing game footage from SWG NGE? That version fucking blew.
Nope. Not annoyed at all
