Good video overall man. But.... BEARING RACES.... if it's a emegency fix on the tracks sure reuse but when doing it as routine maintenance ALWAYS REPLACE BEARING RACE with the new ones that come with the bearing. Ps whoever has worked on those handbrake shoes has put the bottom spring in wrong location, it's supposed to be BEHIND the adjuster star wheel. Cheers

Awesome episode Buddy. While I am not very mechanically inclined I find your content very interesting and always informative. You provide very clear and concise directions which makes it understandable for the novice. Nice way to enjoy my Sunday coffee.

Excellent video, very helpful, yes indeed, I will need to do this as well sometime soon. Thank you for posting!

  • @jimmymack1079

The one part I was waiting to see was the stud removal and replacement and you sped it up! 😂

  • @paullewis252

A very informative and helpful video. Thanks!

  • @allterraintrails

Great video! Helped me with mine on the old 75 series. Most things are the same but no abs ring for me 😅 thank you!

  • @guitarplayerlp7018

just use a piece of wood from the outer hub section to knock the inner bearing & seal out in one go. In most cases the seal can be reused if in an emergency and the wood wont harm the bearing

Next time for the bearing seal use a brass punch from the inside through. Hit the wheel bearing and the seal comes with it. Cheers!

Great video! Could you tell, what the purpose of those two juts on the axle shaft flange?

Hey John, great video as always! I replaced the sending unit for the fuel pump, and the gauge is still reading wrong. Is it a ground issue that could be causing this still. If so, where would I look. 07 tacoma 4.0

Would be great to get the baselining on a couple of videos, is nice the driveway maintenance for the ones that want to tackle some of it on their own.

How did the studs ''pull out'' 3.20 - i thought they'd be threaded in and you said you'd already loosened the nuts at the start of the video - You also said 2 of the studs broke - how did you get the remaining parts out ? Thanks

  • @ashtonmcmahen2137

Hey man how did you get the new axle studs in?
