- Saturday was game night in Salem for the franchise opener of the Oregon Blackbears as the Arena Football League rides again in the Beaver State.

Adiós, Blackbears. RIP.
No goalposts, eh? A couple facilities in the league had the correct equipment, another arena had some ropes set up… very poorly.
Philadelphia’s staff either left or were locked out. They borrowed a lower level team’s players and got crushed.
NFL Network was supposed to broadcast a game or two… they did not show scheduled games and weren’t answering questions about the situation.
That’s not even to mention the substantial number of empty seats in this video. Advise against getting attached… basically because this league is half-baked, not close to the glory days of the league with the same name which, it bears mentioning, also eventually failed.
Only a few teams know what they are doing and most likely will move to the IFL
If anyone is paying attention (hopefully KPTV)… will the home game scheduled Saturday actually be played?
The team Oregon was supposed to play reportedly requested and received a reschedule against another team… which also happened last weekend. Rumors of folding, of unsafe boards being used in Salem, et cetera.
